Sgt. Fred Clyco checked his watch as the G-wagon bumped its way along the roads to the military base. They passed through all the checkpoints without difficulty and eventually made it to Pelvanida's main parking lot.

His official mission was to protect the VIP who sat in the seat next to him, but unbeknownest to the other passangers it was he who carried the real cargo. A secret weapon developed by the Canadian Forces. The only clue about what it could be was that it was manufactured corporately and not by a government divsion so there was a label on the side of the case, "Applied Cryogenics". It must be very tempermental to have to be kept in a cold storage case like this.

The G-wagon stopped at the front gate to drop them off, it was just a transport so it wasn't staying.

There were 3 fully armed guards at the gate. One of which radioed in advance, and the nearest tower guards shifted position towards the gate. Another approached the passengers. "Identifications, please."

The driver showed his special clearence ID to the guard, good for just a drop off and no more. Only the VIP and his two soldier guards, Clyco included, had passes to stay for the duration.

Dr. Zanasiu went up to Shelton. "Stay out of sight and keep an eye on the walk-in freezers. I followed a Beagle in a lab coat to the freezer and he seemingly vanished. On a side note, I found a keypad inside the freezer. Something's there and I want to get to the bottom of this." He went into the closet and changed from his trademark lab coat and pants to a set of blue coveralls. He then handed his shotgun to Zachary. "Hold this please."

Dr. Zanasiu then entered the closet and fetched a mop and a bucket and started mopping the floor.

Zachary nodded and accepted the shotgun. "I hope this works." He then turned to Shelton. "I guess once we gather data here and eat, we should head to the control room."

Alfred entered the kitchen where he was stopped by another cook.

"Hey, who are you?" the cook asked.

"I'm Allen Harding. I'm the new chef here." Alfred replied.

"Where's your identification badge?"

"I have to wait until tomorrow to get one."

"Okay, carry on. Since you're the new chef here, you get to be the carrier. Your first job, get me some frozen carrots."

Alfred nodded and headed to where the freezers were located.

Dr. Bailey looked at perimeter cameras and noticed a group of people being stopped by some guards. He radioed Dr. Zanasiu "Doc Z. there's a group of people outside the base. I think they're trying to get in or something."

Dr. Zanasiu nodded. "I'll keep that in mind." He then continued mopping the floor.

The guard had inspected the the passes and checked them for clearance. After a few tense minutes, the guard returns with the passes. "You have been cleared to enter," the guard stated, "But we are currently in lock down, due to a security breach. We'll have to put you in a secured facility until we get word from Dr Branston. If you'll follow me..."

The trip to the armory was brief, as the mercs knew what they wanted, and met back down where Dr Branston stood.

Shelton peered at the walk-in freezer. "Vanished?"

(OOC: You know, in my Schroedinger's story Shelton was told the password to the walk-in freezer and of the hidden lab's existence, though at the time he assumed Tinner made it up for the simulation. It doesn't have to happen now unless you want it to, but at some point we could use this to get into the lab.)

"Hello Ms. Mulvaney. You're in luck, we're in need of some extra hands on the deli line." the supervisor said.

Alfred returned from the freezer carrying a large crate of carrots. As he passed by a cook, he noticed that the cook was wearing a holster with a pistol in it. "Here are the carrots."

Dr. Zanasiu nodded. "Yep. He vanished. We could go in there under the pretense of defrosting or cleaning the freezer and look around to see if there's any secret entrances."

Dr. Branston looked at the mercenaries who returned with the weapons. "Excellent. I trust you had no trouble entering the AWTR?"

The driver pulled away as his job came to an end, obeying the guard the VIP and his two escorts followed him into the base.

Clyco kept his hand on his sidearm nervously... security lockdown could mean trouble.

Hawkeye stood on a low beam, watching as a team of guards walked under him.
"Heh. Sure fooled them easily, didn't we, Ridley?"
He asked the other experiment, grinning as best as he could.
Ridley nodded, then let out a short series of noises.
"Right. We should find the others."

Dr. Zanasiu nodded and entered the freezer with an ice scraper in his hands. He went to the keypad and noticed that it was numerical.

"Glory it is. Okay, I guess I treat like a cellphone." Dr. Zanasiu muttered. He then typed in "glory". The pad beeped and a section of the wall slid back, revealing an armored door. He then tried the armored door but it would not let him open it without a keycard. He then left the freezer and the wall slid back into place.

"Shelton, you were right. There is something there. I can't get in without a keycard."

Alfred was frying some potatoes on the stove. As he was doing so, he overheard a fellow cook mention something about a "secret project that has been compromised."

"I'm not familiar with that man." Dr. Zanasiu said. "But is it possible he and Dr. Zenarchis were the ringleaders of Dragonstorm? Anyhow, I'm going to be 'cleaning' up the front of the cafeteria and spying. Stay with Zach and Dr. Landon, they'll keep an eye out for suspicious personnel."

"We both went to ETH Z¸rich, and stayed in the same dorm building. Most of us foreigners clicked really well together, but he was extremely arrogant and didn't take criticism well. He's got great mind for tech, I test ran a virtual reality simulator he created about a year ago. The simulation included a secret passageway in a walk-in freezer, which was why I thought of it. It's password was 'glory' as well." Shelton looked troubled. "I'd never think he was the kind of guy who'd participate in something like Dragonstorm. I mean, he was ambitious, but I thought he had morals."
