Longtail gave a nervous laugh as he laid down on the ground and closed his eyes.
"Just remember to wake me up if I start sleep walking..."

"Good." Commented Longtail as he finally fell into a deep sleep.

Terri however being a mother wasn't distrustful of Longtail, but after hearing what he'd done in the past, she was still wary of what he could or might do while they were sleeping...and that gave her enough of a reason to stay awake just a bit longer to make sure everyone else was asleep.

Ichy flew around Dil and the egg. "When this egg will be hatched, it'll be the best day of my life! It could only get better if we could get that dumb longneck and his friends!"

Terri smiled and replied to her son.
"Goodnight Chomper sleep well." However she would still stay awake as long as she could just to watch Longtail.

For the moment Longtail continued to sleep peacefully on his belly with his tail wrapped around his body.

Dil smiled up at Ichy.
"Come down here Ichy, you'll tire yourself out before the egg hatches. And don't even worry about those little kids, they are too far away to worry about...just let it go."

Chomper drifted off into slumber, not aware Longtail would soon sleepwalk.

After a few hours Terri figured nothing bad would happen tonight, and she slowly slipped into sleep.

However it was at that moment Longtail slowly stood up and slowly began sniffing the air around him, and began to walk away from Chomper and Twiz. As fate would have it...he just so happened to bump right into Terri's nose as he walked into her.

The bump on her nose was enough to jolt Terri awake and she immediately looked down and snarled at Longtail hoping he wasn't up to anything stupid...but after a moment of snarling she realized he was sleep walking...and her curiosity got the better of her, as she moved her head to the side to let Longtail pass, and began to wonder just where he was going.
She then reached over and nudged her son and Twiz and stated, "Longtail is sleep walking away from us, I believe we should do something about that."

Chomper slowly woke up.

"We should wake him up," he said to Terri. Chomper noticed his dad still asleep, and decided not to disturb him.

"Yeah" Twiz agreed, "or we shouldn't wake him...I forget" he recalled some advice he'd heard from his cousin's friends in the Valley once...but than that was leaf eater's advice so he doubted it would be taken seriously.

One thing he did know, "Well I know we should follow him whether or not we do wake him up" he said, hopping up and following after Longtail.

Terri turned to see Longtail still walking, and gave a wicked smile.
"I say we keep watching him to see what he does...and if its anything dangerous then we can wake him." she said to Chomper and Twiz.

Longtail on his behalf began walking to a nest full of eggs and he began to smile deviously as he sniffed the nest a few times and wrapped his tail around one of the eggs and then began to walk away.

"Longtail, come back!" Twiz didn't yell too loudly yet started to rush out to stop the other flyer, even if he didn't know what from.

After walking a few feet from the rest of the group Longtail gently set the egg down and curled up around it, but then began to roll around on the ground with the egg still in his embrace.

Terri was torn between getting the egg free from Longtail's grip, or just eating the child right then and there as she turned to her son and said, "Stop him before I do!"

"Longtail, wake up," Chomper called, but it wasn't loud enough.

He walked closer to the sleepwalking flyer and said "Wake up or my mom's gonna eat you!" he smiled.

Longtail's body instinctively let go of the egg, but the young flyer smiled and laughed in his sleep as if it were funny.

Terri grinned as she stepped forward and she picked Longtail up by his tail and shook him vigorously hoping to scare him awake.
