'Well, great...' Eternion gasped between breaths, the stairs having given him a good workout. 'And to think... I was just... beginning... to enjoy... the idea... of having my head... put on a spear...'

He rested for a moment, mouth watering slightly at the abundance of food. Considering his usual meal consisted of your typical "old Dracon" savouries, it was as if he had walked into the lair of a enriched dragon. 'Eh, disgusting,' he grumbled, hiding his sudden growling hunger.

'As for a plan, well... I'd like to know where we are exactly. Any chances we could get out of this cellar? I'm starting to get hungry.'

'Sounds like quite the gathering... I wonder if they're all drunk and stupid at the moment,' Eternion said. Typical guard behaviour, though he wondered what the occasion was.

He looked about the castle interior, the sounds echoing further up ahead. 'We might have to move one at a time, one of us up ahead to make sure we don't draw any attention. The last thing we need is a whole damn party on our tails.'

With all the noise, they probably wouldn't have to worry so much of making a sound as being seen.

Meanwhile, at the party...

A red skinned noble female Dracon stumbled out of the room, clearly drunk. Her pale white belly and large tiotleglas were stained with red wine...

"Mlasia! What are you doing?" Sorian asked one of his wives. "What are you- get your hand out of there, please!" he asked her, calmly taking her hand out from in between her legs... it was already wet with her liquids...

"Aww... I was having fun! It felt so good! Why did you make me stoppp..." Mlasia said, falling down the the floor, drunk.

We're just going to have to try various passages and hope we don't walk into the party.." Minna said looking around. ' Who wants to take the lead.. Marcus? Ilsa?

The party DID stumble into someone, though...

"Sorian, why am I seeing foxes? And a human? They're with some Dracons, including a topless female, a toddler, and a guy with a BIIGG sword!"

"Mlasia, what are you talking ab- hey... there IS a toddler!"

Sorian looked at them with suspicion. "I know who you are... and what you have done." Turning to Rhiga, he said "I've seen you before... you were at the party with the prince... and you were the one who stole from him, didn't you?"

Rhiga looked shocked. "How did you- you remember me?"

"Yes, I never quite forget the body of a female of your... 'stature.' Anyway, I don't hold it against you... and I've heard of a group of adventurers and malcontents wandering around through the city like a flock of headless chickens running awry... you need to get out of here." Sorian told them.

"I WANNA go to the PArty" Mlasia shouted, sounding like a drunk, spoiled child. Honestly, a fully grown female acting like that...

"There is a secret passage out of here" Sorian told the party. "You have to go down into the dungeons, and find a large stone with four interlocking circles. Push in on that stone, and it will lead you to a way out of the castle, into a tunnel. From there, head down the road. If you need help from a wizard, as I suspect you do, given that you need to get out of here as fast as you can, simply approach the first oasis you come across down the road, wait until either dawn, noon, or dusk, and one of you needs to hold up a hand one with three fingers raised, then two fingers raised, then five raised, and three again. That's 3-2-5-3. Make sure your hand blocks the sun from your view. You will see what will happen, I don't have time to explain it now, and you need to go NOW in order to get out... the dungeons are down the stairs over here, he said, indicating a stairwell. Just go ALL the way down... "

Thank you" Marcus said Quickly.. and they began turning down towards the stairs. the steps were llong and dimly lit, save from torches positioned high in thre waklls. " Ok,4 interlocking circles " Minna repeated " I do hope we're not headed into a trap.."

When the party arrived in the dungeons, they found... horrible sights. It was almost as bad as underneath Asthia's tower. Prisoners in cages were confined by black adamantine bars, some of them were suspended from the ceiling by chains, others from a cage, and still others were literally hooked there! In the distance, the party found a wall with what looked like four interlocking circles on it...the problem was... a large group of Dracons was already there... over 20 of them... 19 standing... and one on the ground...

"... AND WHEN I SAY SOMETHING, YOU WILL OBEY! DO YOU UNDERSTAND, YOU PIECE OF MEAT?! THAT'S ALL YOU EVER WERE FROM THE DAY YOU WERE BORN! YOU ARE NOTHING TO ME, YA HEAR! NOTHING! YOU JUST EXIST TO MAKE EGGS, NOT TO THINK! YOU CAN'T CONTRADICT ME ANYMORE THAN A DOG CONTRADICTS IT'S MASTER, YOU BIT-"

"STOP THAT!" Vespion shouted, seeing one of the Dracons hitting a female with a flagrum...

As Arianne looked at the scene, she went totally shocked, but Eriol didn't think twice, he grabbed his swords and ran at full speed to attack the torturer.

Upon noticing the party, the Dracon wielding the flagrum looked up, leaving the broken and bloody female at his feet... turning to the party, his identity was soon revealed... it was the Prince of Hekaga!

Well to do that we need to get through these DRacons. " Ilsa replied
Even from a distance Minna could see the blood trickling fronm the lashee in the dracons back "What has she done to deserve such brutal treatment?" she demanded giving the Dracon with the Falgrum a glance that would have curdled milk.. as sthey DRacon turned. Minna was horrified to see she recognized him..

As he was running, Eriol gave a wicked smile - "Well, maybe I'll get to finish all of this once and for all." - He kept his sword in his left hand in his usual backhanded defensive position as he used his sword in his right hand to attempt a direct attack in the prince's neck.

Marcus was stunnee at see the prince before him. ' You!" He hissed, animosity in his voice.. During their lovemaking Rhiga had started to reveal her past in detail, including her daliance with the Prince. to see the Dracon his lover had described with such fear abd dread standing before him , was a blow, but one which he soon recovered from..

Rhiga was terrified. She ran behind Marcus, not saying a word, but whimpering out her fear. Adykon drew his sword and charged. The other Dracons surrounding the prince did the same... it looked like there would be a large fight... when suddenly.

"STOP!" the prince shouted. and his guards stopped moving, obeying his order. The battle ceased before it really started. "I don't know if we can win this fight, but in any case, I have insurance. I anticipated that you might be coming down here... it is the only way out of the city without taking the gates. I was told that you left the valley by the Dark Master, and he told me to finish you off here... and I shall, but in a manner of my own choosing. Really, all of you are dead in the long run when I am through with my plan... but for now, let's make a deal..."

Eriol decided to stop his attack, and as he heard what the Prince said he bared his teeth in anger, but he calmed down himself. - "Well, I am not the leader of this Party, so I'll let the leader speak." - he then began walking back to where his wife is, not caring if he was givng his back to the Prince.

"I have a proposition to make. I'll let you go on one condition." The prince told the party, pulling out an large golden bracelet with a blue crystal set in it. "This bracelet will bind itself to anyone for the rest of their life. This is not a problem, for their life will be very short thereafter... as it will explode in 48 hours after someone puts it on. Cutting off the limb it is attached too will trigger instant detonation. Now, I am only interested in Rhiga's life, not yours, Adykon."

The mercenary bared his teeth at the memory of this...

"Yes, you remember your old employer don't you? When you first came to this city seeking work, you entered one of my father's barracks, and presented yourself for service. The pay was good, wasn't it? You even saw me give a speech to the troops. I distinctly remember you in the front row, clapping."

This was true. Adykon had come to Hekaga seeking work. That's where he met Vaeri, after all. He had arrived in the city not long after Rhiga had left it in exile...

"So, since you will all probably be dead soon enough, I just want to be sure that I killed at least one of you... give Rhiga the bracelet and I'll let you go. If you stay and fight, you MIGHT win... but if you lose, there will be no one left to oppose the Dark Master... what's it going to be?"
