"Ya know, that's how I felt growing up. I was always alone, until I found the Great Valley. These folks here are from the Great Valley, and they have never known how life is without a herd. They are very welcoming and always look out for each other. They took me in like I had always been one of their herd, and I'm sure you'll be just as readily accepted," Aurelia replied.

"I....I don't know really, I mean, when I was at the Great Valley, I was still ignored.....I had to look out for myself....no one seemed to care for me" Skye replied with a small sigh as she looked back to Aurelia.

Skye gave off a small little laugh back as she looked to Aurelia "Yeah, I guess so" she then gave off a small, odd looking smile, it was the best she could do with a smile at the moment.

Hunter grinned again. "The more meat you consume, the better you'll get at controlling that reaction...trust me." She then glanced up and smiled. "It seems our herd is looking for us." She said aloud, and then gently nudged Luna around. "Come on, we can keep talking, but we really should keep up with the others." Hunter then looked up once more and nodded to Petrie to show that they were on their way back.

Sweetie who was now sitting idly on Littlefoots back sighed as she tried her hardest not to cry again. She really couldn't help it though, Zaine was the closest thing to a mate she had....and the loss of that made her too sad for words. She wanted to talk about it...but she wasn't sure anyone would want to hear her sad, and depressing words.

Cyrix was now beginning to think...not just about his nephew, but the true impact Zaine had on Longtail. 'those two have been together since Longtail found his way into the valley. Zaine helped Longtail get his prioities straight, and defeated Bleeding Heart. But even then, just after they'd first met, they treated each other more like brothers then friends....it's odd...but perhaps it was their painful pasts, and willingness to help each other through the pain that brought them so close together. But if that's true...then Zaine would want Longtail to be happy, but for Longtail to be happy, he'd have to find someone close to him that would be able to share that empty feeling Zaine's death has no doubt left....I know personally, that Pearl would be able to help a little...and perhaps even Longtail's hatchling Sol would be able to comfort him...but after that...I'm not sure who among the herd can help Longtail through this...

Pearl was still holding Longtail as they walked, and she gave a small smile as she watched her brother Diamond land with Sol. "How is she?" Pearl asked with true concern in her voice.

Diamond grinned broadly.
"She's a sharp one...we've played several games, and she beat me in most of them." he said with a short laugh.

Longtail looked over to his daughter...and his eyes began to tear up once more as he turned and gently embraced his daughter in a hug. "Hello...Sol. Have you been nice to your Uncle Diamond?" he asked quietly.

The young child simply smiled and giggled as she replied, "Hi daddy!"

Luna looked away for a moment, as she was unsure on what to do now. She wanted to go with Hunter back to everyone else, but yet, she also didn't want to, just in case it were to happen again "But I don't want to do that again!" Luna almost yelled back at Hunter "I don't want it to happen again...."

She was now, instead of stepping towards Hunter, she was stepping back some more, shaking her head all the while as well "I....I don't....I don't know...." she told her as she continued to step back some more, stepping further away from Hunter, now a few feet away from her.

She was indeed, torn between two things right now, unsure on what to actually do, yet, she was leaning towards the one that means for her not to go back with Hunter and instead, run away from her problems instead of facing them.

And that's when she did it, without another word, she turned and took off again, running away from Hunter and Petrie as she didn't want to head back at the moment, still feeling rather guilty for what had happened between herself and Hunter.

Ducky then approached Littlefoot.

"Littlefoot, it seems we, or at least one of us, has found another dinosaur traveling by herself, yep yep yep. Aurelia is trying to convince her that we will let her join our herd, but she still does not seem convinced, no no no. Do you think you could talk to her? She is a threehorn named Skye, yep yep yep," Ducky said, hoping Littlefoot was listening to her.

Littlefoot looked over at Aurelia as she talked with the other threehorn. That threehorn is alone in this dead world? I feel terrible for her. He then looked back at Ducky. "I'll talk to her. Hopefully she will consider joining us." He then approached Skye and Aurelia, who were still conversing. He looked at Skye and smiled. "My name is Littlefoot. My friend tells me that you are alone out here. Why don't you come with our herd? I promise you everybody will be accepting, and if not then I'll deal with it. What do you say?"

Petrie had given a nod as Hunter signalled that they would be returning. Well, that was an easy finding mission...only apparently not since Luna next made a run for it. Petrie sighed, and flapped over. He'd promised to come back with both of them, so he wasn't going to just leave Luna out here, even if he wasn't sure yet what he'd say to her.

He also wasn't sure if Hunter was following or not, and much as a part of him told him it would be easier if she did, he let her make up her own mind on that since she'd already spotted the herd and where to go beyond where he'd been flying anyway.

Skye looked over at Littlefoot whom had approached and let him speak before she spoke up next "How do i know that you guys wont be the same as every other herd ou there? I mean, listen, I try and make friends with others, but noooo.....they instead, brush me aside as if I'm nothing, as if I'm just a worthless, good for nothing threehorn....which isn't true...." she ended up grumbling to herself.

Luna on the other hand, didn't seem to stop running, even if Petrie was following her. However, as she heard the flapping of his wings, she did seem to slow down a litte to allow him to catch up as she shot a glance in his direction "Why....are you following me? I've done too many terrible things as it is....I've hurt Littlefoot and I even tried to hurt Hunter as well....I didn't mean to though....but it's just that...." although, she didn't even seem to finish off her sentence as she had slowed down to a walk by that point, yet, she didn't seem like she was going to stop anytime soon at the moment.

Littlefoot sighed. "I can understand your concerns for our herd, but I can assure you that we aren't like that. We have been searching for any survivors out here in this dead world, and anybody we could find we have had join us. You are no different. You are a survivor, and we want you to join our herd." His tone became more sympathetic in an attempt to comfort Skye. "You are not a worthless threehorn, and no matter what others may say you can't believe them. I won't let anybody say things like that to you, not while you are with us."

Skye seemed to then think for a moment as she looked to the longneck and took a deep sounding sigh "Well, I guess if you say so...." of course, she was still unsure, but she was indeed, leaning towards joining their herd "Okay, I suppose I could...."

She paused for another moment, looking at them some more, looking between Littlefoot and Aurelia as she stood up porperly "Yeah, okay.....I've made up my mind....I'm going to go along with you guys....on one condition...." she looked to Littlefoot again "You said you wont let anyone say those sorts of things to me....fine....I'm going to hold you responsible for it then, if they say anything hurtful at all, you are going to be held responsible...."

Littlefoot smiled. "I'm glad you are coming with us Skye. I promise you we are going to find another home to replace the Great Valley where we can be happy again." She reminds me a lot of Cera. She is definitely as headstrong as her. I hope we can protect her. He gestured back to the group behind him. "Why don't you come and meet the others? I'm sure they will be happy to see another survivor."

Skye gave off a shrug back "Yeah, alright....I guess so" she told Littlefoot with a bit of an attempted smile, yet, it didn't seem to be a good one at all, sort of one sided more as she gave off a small nervous little laugh and followed Littlefoot over to where everyone else was.

However, once she got there and saw some meat eaters hanging around, she almost stepped back a little bit as she didn't really seem to trust any meat eater at all, since all the ones she had come across have tried to kill her, so really, she was being a bit weary now as she eyed the meat eaters, whispering a little to Littlefoot in the process "Meat eaters? You never told me there were meat eaters in your herd...."

Littlefoot realized he forgot to mention this to her, so he whispered back. "I promise you, these sharpteeth are our allies. They have lived in the Great Valley with us for a long time now. They have even fought against other sharpteeth to protect us. You are safe with us, and as long as I lead the herd you will remain so."

"You're....friends with them?" Skye asked back as she looked to them still, seeming to eye them quite a bit now, still not seeming to trust them all that much "How...how do you know that they wont....turn on you in the end?" she told Littlefoot as she was still a bit untrusting of the Sharpteeth "I mean, every single Sharptooth I have come across has tried to kill me....sharptooth, fast biter....whatever meat eater there is....they've all tried to kill me...."

Hunter groaned in mild frustration. She looked up to Petrie with a sad face and turned around and began chasing after Luna. "By the Guardians...it's like trying to take care of a hatchling!" Hunter then picked up speed, knowing she was physically faster than Luna and quickly caught up to and cut Luna off. "LUNA! STOP TRYING TO RUN FROM YOUR PROBLEMS!" she shouted aloud to her adoptive sister.

Cyrix for the mean time came over to help Skye get accustomed to the herd.
"Please dear. Littlefoot is right, you are more than safe here. The sharpteeth will not harm you."

Terri smiled as she could smell the nervous and mixed feelings that Skye gave off.
"How cute...she's nervous about us."

Dil sighed however. "Always the same...all leafeaters are scared of us...I mean I know why...but not all meat eaters are bad."

Luna looked to the side for a moment, sniffling some "But....I can't....I....don't know how to...." she told Hunter "I've always known....just to run away from them....it always seems to work out....."

Of course, she wasn't sure on that one herself as she looked back to Hunter again, unsure on what else to say to her as she sighed a little as well, sniffling some more still.

Skye looked at the sharpteeth, grumbling some as well with what Terri had just said before looking to Dil "Look, I'm sorry about it....but I've never been on good terms with meat eaters....I can't stress it enough, they always wanted to kill me!"

She then started to calm herself back down again "Sorry for yelling, I didn't mean to....."
