The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

What are you thinking about?

This happened a couple of weeks ago, but it just now crossed my mind.

I just thought about this older male in the apartment next to mine that was kind enough to wake me up BEFORE 8AM on one of my days off by using a power sander in the room of his unit opposite the wall where the head of my bed is :bang  :rolleyes.  If I wasn't too lazy to crawl outta bed, I probably would've gone and knocked on his door, but he probably would not have heard me since he used the darn thing for over half an hour :crazy.

Seriously, what is it with some folks and feelin' the need to use power tools before 8AM and waking everybody up around 'em ?

That and playing very loud music, even at times after midnight.  Many humans are very inconsiderate.

I was just thinking about how silly some anime plotlines are. I mean, in Yu-Gi-Oh, the plot is focused around CARD GAMES for CHILDREN.

Oh, you took the words right out of my mouth there.  Last night, ugh, people next door....which might I add, is right next door, we live in a flatting unit area.

Anyways, that's what they do, party and play music without a care in the world....which was around midnight too when I went to get some shut eye.

How much of an arrogant prick the PokÈmon fan fiction author Farla is.

And how awesome Latias' Journey is.

It's so sad to hear about twenty-something year-olds getting Botox done.  They don't even need it :slap!  Unless it is for a medical reason, I don't see myself ever getting any work done.  I'd rather age gracefully then look like Barbie at age eighty.  Wrinkles are merely signs of where smiles and laughs have been :).

BTW, I'm glad I never listened to those superfake girls who bashed pale folks for the "pasty" look.  I may be pale, but at least I still look my age or younger while some of them already look like they're sixty :crazy.

Things on my mind right now:

ï I slept for around six hours today, waking up to participate in an extremely belated celebration of my brother's 20th birthday. Now I'm starting to feel tried again (apparently six consecutive hours of sleep in a nearly 50-hour period isn't enough :p) So yeah, I'll probably be conking out again pretty soon.

ï What a mess my bedroom is. Having not been in there in a while (I've been sleeping on the sofa because my bed's all cluttered up), I went in today to get something, and realized just how bad it was. Cleaning it out definitely has a major spot on my “to do” list this summer.

ï I learned a new word (or phrase) the other day: “uff da” (pronounced “oof da”), an all-purpose exclamation of Norwegian origin, supposedly very commonly used among Minnesotans. Neither I nor my brother (who introduced the term to me) has heard anyone in Minnesota use it, :confused but many of the Minnesotan students at his college in Wisconsin apparently do. I rather like the word, and may start using it as one of my catchphrases. :p

ï I'm also amazed by just how much posting I've done lately: I've made over 100 posts in the last two weeks :wow (accounting for about 5.5% of the total GOF posts made in that time ).

I sometimes forget why I very, very seldom watch the news or read any negative headlines.  It brings out one of two reactions in me:

*I cry hard while cursing out cruel members of humankind.

or

*I feel a violence fetish come over me that makes me wanna rampage and knock the said culprit into the next galaxy.

ï I'm hoping I did well on my GRE (Graduate Record Exam) today.

ï Having found out last night that I didn't get the job I had applied for, :( I'm wondering what I should do next.

ï I'm thirsty. :p

EDIT: Another thing I'm thinking: Would this particular post be more appropriate for the “How are you feeling?” page? :confused

Okay, this guy in the lobby keeps on ripping very loud farts while he uses his laptop as if he's the only one around :x!  What's worse is that everybody else looks like they could care less.  Maybe I should just put my earbuds in and listen to some Disturbed and look as indifferent about the farting as the others :idea.

Still, its so rude :bang.

I'm thinking about why Archive.org put my music album in the section "ourwork" to "images" and not into "audio". o.O

Thinking about getting a new laptop or a small netbook as a second choice...

I also wonder why we can't post comments on the 2010 Award winners?

I kinda wondered that too

Right now I'm trying to answer that age old question... should I paint more Warhammer 40k stuff or write more Far Away Home?

^ Far Away Home! Far Away Home! Please, please, please!

:p

Ehhh . . . anyway . . . I'm thinking about various threads on the GOF and the posts I plan to make in them. And also about numerous other things I need to do, have been planning to do, and/or need to be concerned about.

I'm thinking about if "White Vibes" would be a good title for a music album?

I should've gone running today, but I skipped it to sit outside and draw some fanart.  Now I feel like a raging idiot who is in a setting in which she needs to internalize her feelings :crazy.

I'm thinking about . . .

ï All the fanfictions I need (or have planned) to review. :blink

ï Whether or not to offer feedback in Cancerian Tiger's art thread.

ï How long it's been since I posted pictures of Sasquatch in the "Show Us Your Critters!" thread. :o

ï I didn't manage to finish that post on Ruby before its first birthday. :bang I have GOT to get that done this summer.
