The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Another dancer approached the first one and spoke to her "Actually, I think it means that a certain part hangs out..."

"Hangs out? But... the male parts are internal until they are-"

"Yes, among out kind, but mammals often have it out all the time."

The first dancer's eyes brightened and she perked up.

"Really? That's so interesting. Say, I wonder if that horse will-"

The music played over their voices...

Torvin sighed and got up to leave the bar. He wasn't interested in the Dracon dancers but he got the impression that they were interested in him.

Yes... the dancers did that sometimes... it was part of the culture. They were harmless, on the whole, however promiscuous they were. Few of them would have gone through with it...

Jake eventually came across a small stall that did sell capes. Some of the expensive capes were made from silks and extremely soft cloth. Jake came over to the stall and he checked out some of the red capes. "hmmm......which fabric should i get? silk....or.....cloth......i'll go with cloth." thought Jake. Jake took the cape off of its hanging rack and brought it over to the counter. "how much does this cost?" asked Jake

The Dracon at the counter took a look at the cape, the material, and, truth be told, he adjusted the price to match what he thought he could get out of Jake. Prices were not often posted in Dracon cities, and it was common for people to haggle over the cost of goods, that is, to argue over the price of items until they agreed on a number.

It was not the best system, but it worked. "For you, this cape will cost 5 gold pieces" he replied.

"erm....okay" said Jake, Jake put his hand into his pocket and he pulled out a bag filled with coins. "do you accept silver pieces?" asked Jake "i can still pay the same price in silver"

"Sure thing. That'll be 50 silver coins, though." The Dracon vendor told Jake. "And they have to be the same size as the standard coin of our city..." He held up a coin to demonstrate the size.

(lol that would be hard to carry 50 of those if it were actual size)

"sure" said Jake as he counted 50 silver pieces for the dracon. Jake handed them over "here you go".

(OOC: That is at least twice normal size of the coin! :lol)

"Thank you, human. Enjoy the cape" the vendor told Jake. "Heh heh. He doesn't know that it isn't worth HALF the price he paid" the vendor added mentally.

Jake continued walking down the street with his cape in his backpack. It took Jake 20 minutes to reach the inn he was staying at. Once Jake got inside his room he put his armour on. "time to add the final thing." jake pulled the cape he bought from his backpack and he attached it to his armour. "man i look tuff" (tuff: Handsome, cute)

Jake needed to realize two things; the armor wasn't going to impress anyone if no one saw him in it... and that the only females to impress around here all had horns and tails...

"this will impress the ladies at the castle" thought Jake to himself. "and no one will try to mess with me in the street either. I look like a real knight!"

Capes were a liability in combat unless they were enchanted. Every real knight knew that. Jake, by contrast, still had a lot to learn... a lot...

Some Dracon wore capes. They were almost invariably rich or well-to-do males. The capes were a status symbol, not a practical piece of war gear.

Jake felt his stomache gurgle...."hmmm...i'm starting to get hungry...i'll go downstairs and get a meal. Jake walked outside and halfway down the stairs he realized he forgot to take his armour off!. "dammit! > <" thought Jake. Jake continued down the stairs and he walked over to the bar. "erm......can i order a meal..." asked Jake awkwardly...Jake's cheeks were red by now...

The list went on like that for some time.

"For you, just 1 silver piece." It was an okay price... nothing special.

The sign above the bar of the inn was rather elaborate...

The Bright Sun Inn.

Torvin left the bar and went up to his wagon.

"So anything interesting?" the draft animal asked.

"More like something awkward." Torvin replied.
