FF.net's been getting a lot of activity lately, which is a good thing for me!!

I mostly don't read the fanfics on the forums; I'm mostly focused on finding people's fanart in that section. However, I do click the ones familiar to me (Like the Revenge stories) to see what others are commenting about it (I love reading feedback so much that I'll read the feedback of a story that isn't mine!

). Only story I read that seems to be exclusive to this site was Ptyra's fanfic and only cause I couldn't find it in FF.net.

But if there's a good story here (that's not present in FF.net) that one thinks would catch my attention (like it has my fav characters, is hilarious, etc), then I'd probably be more than happy to read it.

I can't remember for certain if you said you've read them before (perhaps I'm thinking of someone else), but I highly recommend “The Rise of Storm Tide” and its sequel, “Far Away Home”, by Caustizer.

(There are several antagonist and antihero-type characters in those stories that I think you'd like.

)

Yup! I have all four books front and center in my book collections. All of them pretty worn from how often I read them *understatement*. Darkwing's in the best condition not because it's my newest, but cause it's hard-covered!

Firewing has it in the worst of conditions, falling apart and held together by tape all over. That's what happened when I'm in love with Cama Zotz and wouldn't put the book down....

As for Darkwing itself, I loved it! So much, I named an OC villain of mine Carnassial (surprisingly, the name fits my OC as much as it fit Carnassial himself)! I love the scene with the Diatryma....and of the red-fanged shrews... and EVERYTHING!! I even wrote a fanfic on FF.net concerning Aeolus' death.

I'm hoping the rumors of another book in the series are true....

Riiiiiight! I forgot; I think I read that once.

: I don't remember it very well, but it kinda should have been a tip-off that you'd read the book.

This brings me to another question: were you at all thinking of the bird character in Darkwing (whose name was Teryx) when you came up with the name for your LBT Archaeopteryx OC, or are the names the same by coincidence? (I'm guessing you primarily based it off his species name; I really like the name, either way.

Nah, I wasn't thinking of Darkwing Teryx when I thought of LBT Teryx's name. I just tried to choose a name from the species thing, and it was either that or Archie, which has already been taken.... It was a little after I named the character did I remember Darkwing's Teryx!

After that, I thought it was funny.

Yes!! We love pets!!

In the past:
-A cat named Fluffy
-A pug named Justin
-A Beta Fish named Rainbow
-Several budgerigar birdies (I never could tell them apart at the time...)
-A soft-shelled turtle named Morphius (I called him Morphy)
-A ferret named Spazz (I named her that myself :^.^:)
-2 gerbils named Fuz-Bal and Boba
-A chinchilla named Fudge
-2 sugar gliders named Shoogy and Gliga (my not-so-creative sister named them)
- A bearded dragon named Monster (Mom named him as she's not fond of reptiles)
- A Milksnake named Terror (again from my mom

: )
-A rat named Marble
-Various insects, each of which I named and cared for individually

Each of them either lived their life, died in freak accidents, or were given away when we had to move to California with their strict laws on what pets we could have... I miss all of them sooooooo much

For several, I even wrote stories in honor of them.

Currently:
-A few pet insects (2 mantis' and 5 tiger beetles as well as an antlion)
- My two ratties Caramel and Domino (the latter of which is the newest member of the household to keep Caramel company since Marble died....

)

Do you have any photos of them? If you do, there’s a thread in the “After Midnight” section where members can post photos of their pets. (I’m long overdue for posting some new photos myself. :blink:)

New question: Do you find that you’re more of a cat person or a dog person?

Here's another LBT fanfiction I didn't think to recommend to you before: The Cold Time by Malte279, who also has another excellent, uncompleted fanfic titled “Old Threehorns” that he has not posted (though it does have an art thread) but will probably be glad to send to you by e-mail.

(He started writing them before LBT VIII and X were released, so one thing you might like about the latter is that it's a story about Cera's family that has no Tria or Tricia.
