Marzgurl Discusses TLBT Movies

While we have heard many exaggerations, showing off, and possibly even lies from her prior to LBT 11, did we ever hear Cera lie at the expense of someone else rather than merely for her own benefit but without somebody else being so much on the suffering end?
Just a general question as I myself haven't been very impressed with any of the later sequels. So far I have watched the reviews up to LBT 9 (the last sequel I was rather satisfied with even though I cannot deny that Marzgurl has a point when she critizices that in fact very little is actually happening in the movie). I guess I'm going to watch the review of number 10 soon and I guess I can be rather relaxed about that review given my own opinion of Bron and his implausibilities.

Well if Cera wouldn't do that, then Littlefoot wouldn't and he's consistantly got better character than her. Maybe the plot shouldn't have been kicked off by one of our five lying at all.

And I'm still NEVER going to watch that movie. I don't give a **** even that I added the yellow bellies to my fanfiction without watching the movie their from. I still think I got their character down pretty well. I was going to feed them to Chomper even, but I decided to show mercy, and use Chomper to just poke fun at their idiocy.

Anyway, I was really hoping that she was going to review the TV series, but the games too!? That came out of left field!

What I found most surprising was that The Land Before Time Wiki actually got a mention in this video. Looks like all of that hard work finally paid off.

(Then again, I was advertising it on the ThatGuyWithTheGlasses forum as "THE The Land Before Time Database", which it SO is.)

I wonder if others will mention it when they do any "The Land Before Time" related reviews. (Whether it be movies, games and other things.) I guess only time will tell.

I'm at least happy she's not ending it with the 13th movie. We won't be ending this on a low note, since the TV series was at least better than the last sequel.

I don't agree with that. She's been saying when one of the sequels wasn't as bad as a previous one. She did say something about the 5th movie just being kinda meh, and not near as bad as the awful 3rd movie, and she's repeatedly said a few times some of the sequals not being as bad as that one.

And she might think ANYTHING is better after watching Wisdom of Friends

The Critic himself will probably review Dink. I have no idea what treatment he will give it, though.

Well, yeah, she does say when she thinks a sequel is better, but she calls them all crap.

Blarg, she just skimmed through it! You'd think that since the TV series is longer than any of the movies, she'd spend more than 9 minutes bashing it.

She didn't even mention anything about what I liked, like from The Lonely Journey, The Brave Longneck Scheme, or the part of the lone dinosaur where Chomper's afraid of Doc.

The TV series was still awful, The songs were crap, ext, but it did have a few redeeming things about it.

I am disappoint. <_<

Well, she did have only a week to try to cram it all in and then present it in a review of sorts. You have to understand that she has a lot more to work with, so I doubt it was easy. I mean, just look at the length of the TV Series for a second.

26 episodes and 23 minutes each.

Totaling in nearly 600 minutes (Or rather 10 hours) of footage.

On top of that, she had to get all of the episodes. We can't forget that not all of them are on DVD. She probably downloaded some off of YouTube, while ripping some of the DVDs.

Considering the small amount of time she had to edit it properly, I don't blame her for skimming it.

All that's left are the games. I did at least give her fair warning that she would have trouble getting all of them, much less being able to actually present them. (After all, some only work on Windows 95/98.) So yeah, best of luck to her there.

I don't think she even has to watch every single episode anyways. To me, its all the same. But I'm REALLY glad that she brought up Spike's character. He sees things in purple, he thinks grass can sing, (even though he eats them all the time) and he doesn't understand the hum-er, I mean, dinosaur language. He literally has the same intelligence as my dog Pepper. <_< I'm thoroughly disappointed in that episode and the longneck scheme episode.

And I don't hear or see any "bashing" from Marzgurl here. Only trolls do that.

If she really wanted to bash the series she would say "@#$% this entire franchise" or "LBT is gay"

Granted. I've only seen 14 episodes but I think I've seen enough. -_-

I've yet to see her reviews on LBT 13 and the series, but I must say that for the most part I found the series better than I had expected. There were weaknesses, but storywise (and stories are for me personally the most crucial elements of a movie) I think some of the episodes surpassed the later movies. I agree there is a lot to criticize about the series, but I still think it is a lot better than was dreaded before its release.

I'm going to be perfectly honest and say that her retrospective actually brought me back to the series and I wouldnt be here if it werent for that. Before I saw her retrospective, I wasnt sure which movies I had seen and hadnt seen, and I was really unaware what happened to the Land Before Time Movies (All I knew was that I saw a land before time movie as a little kid and then another when I was 9 about a dolphin called big water or something). So yeah, I have to thank her, really. It is unfortunate that she kind of ruined the first movie for me, It really would have had more of an effect if I saw the first movie without watching anything from it for 12 years.

She is kind of nit picky with the sequels though. I watched LBT 5 without seeing her review first (I saved it so It didnt spoil it for me) and it was better than she made it look in her review. She really only pointed out the negative stugg and a very few minor positives.
