"We're doing fine. Except we need something magical. We're working on an experiment for long range communications," Dr. Kerzach said. It wasn't a lie but he had carefully left out some words.

Soon, what sounded like a jet coming in for a landing was heard.

A gust of hot air blew Dr. Kerzach's apron back and making him thankful for the goggles he had on. A dragon clad in a suit of powered armor then touched down near the group. The dragon's thrusters and metallic wings folded up against his back as he examined the newcomers.

"Greetings, I am Drobot," the dragon said. His voice was metallic yet warm.

"like the Voodoo guy, what's his name." Terrafin said attempting to remember names of folks he had seen doing magic sorts of stuff.

That could be Voodood or Double Trouble. " Sunburn said thinking on some voodoo types who he had seen do spells. I've seen Double Trouble do spells."

"As much as I love living in oz, I do like the travel now and then." The Shaggy Man said after taking a drink of his drink.

"I heard travel brodns the mind doesn't it Cap'n Bill." Trot said after eating some ice cream.

"Yes indeedy. It makes one appreciate home all the more." Captain Bill said nodding in agreement.

"Nice of Glinda to teach me that travelin spell. We can be out here a while then pop back." The wizard said, looking around a bit.

"It's worth an attempt," Twilight said.

"There's stuff to do and eat in the town if you're hungry," Mr. Bigmouth said as he headed out of the vehicle bays.

Dr. Kerzach dusted off his apron. "Pleased to meet you, Drobot. I am Dr. Yuri Kerzach."

Drobot then nodded. "Information is free. I can take you to the town center but it might take a while. We're at the outskirts."

The Cassowary sighed. "Nick, I'll go fetch the repulsorsled from the the starship. We'll probably need it."

He then headed back to the Phoenix.

Twilight levitated out a scroll from her saddlebag. There was the sound of quill scratching on parchment.

"Here. Send this," she said, floating the scroll over to Spike. "All it says is 'I am aboard the aliens' starship RICMS Spire of Winter.'"

Dr. Kerzach came roaring back onto the scene driving his repulsorsled. By that time, Drobot and Nick had already left. He then looked around until he found a sign that pointed him in the right direction.

He sighed and followed the aforementioned sign.

Spike took the scroll and inhaled as deeply as he could. Then he tried to put as much whatever it was into his dragon fire breath to send the scroll to Princess Celestia, even despite their distance, not sure if it would work or not.

The scroll popped and fizzled as it turned into a smoky plume.

A mechanic looked up from the rocket pod equipped dune buggy he was repairing. "Uh, you may not wanna do that in here," he said

"Why?" Twilight asked as she looked around the vehicle bay.

"Fire suppression system. Smothers everything in nitrogen if there's a fire. You don't want to have it activate when you're in here."

(OOC - Have Spike burp it back up because they're out of range.)

"What is nitrogen?" Spike asked, not having heard the term before. He then belched his green fire, with the scroll appearing as well.

"Guess it's to far or something. That's never happened before." Spike said bewildered why it happened.

Dr. Kerzach met up with Nick and the others in the town square. "Sorry I'm late," he said, hopping off the sled and adjusting his goggles.

"Ah, pleased to meet you, Doctor," Drobot said as he scanned the sled with a special beam that came from one of his eyes.

"Okay, so what'd I miss?"

"Chong's a real tough foe," Dr. Kerzach said. He then hopped onto his sled. "Well, shall we head to the mountains or look around town first?"

Dr. Zanasiu entered the vehicle bay. "So what's going on?"

"Nothing much, Doctor," Twilight said as she placed her scroll back in her saddlebags. "By the way, how fast are we moving?"

"Approximately 250c. I can't tell you our true top speed though - that's classified."

Twilight's jaw dropped. "We're moving at two hundred and fifty times the speed of light!?"

Dr. Zanasiu nodded.

"That...That's amazing. You must tell me how the-" A stern glance from Mr. Bigmouth, who was helping Rainbow run some diagnostics on her systems, cut her off.

Twilight then turned to Spike. "I wonder why they're hiding so much of this wonderous technology from us," she muttered.

Twilight sighed. "Oh if only I could see some this technology," she said wistfully. "Maybe if-"

"Do not even think about sneaking into restricted areas!" Mr. Bigmouth said as he finished running Rainbow's diagnostics.

"Well, in any case," the living F-22 said. "I'm off for a flight. Anyone care to join?"

A Spirarian pilot hopped into her own vehicle - a custom built fighter jet that looked vaguely like a small version of Lt. Martin. The living F-22 carefully rolled onto the runway. She radioed the control room.

Klaxons wailed as a ceramic and metal composite blast deflector raised up behind Rainbow. "Preparing to ignite engines!"

Mr. Bigmouth grabbed a set of earmuffs from a cabinet and donned one. He then tossed one to Twilight, who caught it in her magical grasp, and Spike.

"Put these on! It's gonna get real loud soon!"

dixie waited for spyro and cynder to finish thier dinner then after waiting for an hour or two, decided tio go to bed confident that she would see then at breakfast the next morning.. the night was uneventful, and dixie slept soundly beside her husband..

The air in the hangar shuddered as Rainbow throttled her engines to the maximum. Soon, she rapidly picked up speed and soon exited into the "night sky" over Winterville.

Soon, Rainbow Dash flew alongside the two planes.

"So how are things?" Rainbow Dash asked.

Rainbow's wing lights flashed red and green. "Not much going on."

"Sorta hard to believe we're in space far away from earth." Gomamon said. Joe shook a bit.

"It makes me nervous just thinking about it. " Joe said.

"no reason to be. If there is sudden depressurization my motherbox can protect all of you." Jason said.

"Sudden depressurization? That sounds bad." Joe said getting a bit nervous.

"normally it is, but you don't need to worry about that." Jason said.

"Like he said it's not a concern for us. You really need to learn to relax Joe." Gomamon said.
