As the Owl's attacks raged on, a figure emerged on top of the Khan tower. With nary a word the vulpine figure let herself fall to the ground, her piercing blue eyes snapping open to see one of the dukes owls lunging for her as she fell.

"Koyosetsu!"

A cloud of razor-sharp shards appeared alongside her body, before shooting off and embedding themselves in the owl's chest, knocking him out of the sky. The digimon grabbed hold of a pole and slid to the ground.

"Who's next." Was all she uttered.

Dr. Zanasiu groaned. "Oh great, I guess I'll need my gun."

Mr. Bigmouth nodded as he boarded his repulsorsled. Zachary and Dr. Zanasiu boarded the sled. "We'll arm up and meet back here."

"Major Lockie, I need you and your crew here ASAP!" Deimos barked into his walkie talkie. He then hopped on the sled.

Jason switched to his imperial dragon body and took off, carrying those of his companions who could not fly themselves. Gnash, flew using magic rings that enhanced his natural gliding ability as Guilmon and Brooklyn using their legion flight rings to fly.

"Sounds like things may get pretty tough." Spike said to Twilight Sparkle.

"From what I've been told," the full-of-himself tiger remembered, "The one name my subjects kept overhearing was the "Duke" or something along those lines."

The others in the crew suddenly saw a surprised look appear on Stripetail's face

the duke? That name is familiar although it has been a long time since i last saw him.. ' Stripetail muttered to himself.. ' his full name" he said to khan, "is the grand High Duke, or the Duke of Owls. he likes music at the organ, and has potent magical powers. he does things for his own delight, and cares little what others think.. he must get our friends back from him at once..

Mr. Bigmouth arrived with crew all fully armed. He chambered a round in his rifle. "Let's do it."

Deimos radioed Stripetail as soon as he heard the roar of jet engines. "Stripetail, Mr. Bigmouth is ready with his crew and the planes are here. We are awaiting orders."

Captain Carson was roughly thrown to the ground in front of the Duke of Owls. "Whatever you want, I don't have it," she said, looking at the duke in the eyes.

"That's not a concern," the Duke chuckled, "Because what i wanted.....was a meal," he licked his beak, giving clear indications of his intentions.

"We should get going," Vitani nodded.

More of the residents of Khan quickly bowed to the great tiger before everyone took off.

Shakila radioed Stripetail back. "We can't find any evidence of the location of Skylands...however, we've found one clue. We checked a mercenary guide board over intergalactic transmissions and a single ship has a profile claiming they've seen the planet before....they are willing to guide other ships to the Planet Skylands, for a price...."

Angekla and Ratchet reached the hanger where aphelion was docked ' taking me out for a spin?' the ship said ' more like a job' ratchet said " this is Angela ' Ah angela Cross. the last female lombax in this dimension" aphelion intoned. ' nice to meet you too Angela said, and the top opened up so the passengers could take their seats. angela rode in back, ratchet in the drivers seat, clank in the passenger seat. the clamps unlocked and the hangar bay opened.. ' lets go' Ratchet said pushing the thruster forward.

Renamon spotted the owls leaving the city. Quickly she Teleported herself to the one Owl's back and lay there. They were going to take her to whoever was responsible for the attack, that was certain.

"Your orders, Tarrax?" she asked. "The others are behind us."

Mr. Bigmouth opened the sled's throttle and sent it hurtling down the streets at a tremendous speed.

"Great, we go for a relaxing day and s--- hits the fan," Zachary muttered.

"Spike, are you okay?" Twilight shouted over the noise of the sled's powerful engines.

The owl used his magic breath to seal off the doors to his lair.

10 million, huh/Fine, we'll give them the 5 million up front..Stripetail radioed. ' radoio me back when you find anything more.. ' he turned off the walkie talkie and turned to vitani. ' as for how i know the duke of owls, he and i have crossed paths before although not for some time. we dont agree on many things. we've clashed magically once or twice and i came out the victor. he does things his own way and hes a powerful magican.

Captain Carson's clothing, thankfully had lots of little "goodies" to help her with various situations. Not the least of which, it was fireproof, acidproof and stabproof.

She flexed her toes, causing sharp spikes to spring from her boots and embed themselves in the floor. Despite the measure, she still kept sliding towards the Duke.

"Come on!" she muttered. "Hurry the f--- up!"
