We just lost another one, two days ago. He apparently had pancreatic cancer and that's took him a mere three days after his 77th birthday. Rest in Peace, good sir. You were beloved by many people and rightly so.

I have followed Mr. Hurt's work for a long time. In particular his performance in 'I, Claudius' and in the definitive version of 'Nineteen Eighty-Four' are among some of the best that I have seen. May he rest in peace.

He was awesome in Harry Potter series. I really loved his character in that bad movie.

I've pretty much seen him only in Harry Potter series and Watership Down but he certainly made a good impression in those films. In addition, many of his films are widely known and liked. Rest in peace.

The best known examples I know of were his roles in Watership Down as Hazel, Plague Dogs as Snitter and Lord of the Rings (1978) as Aragorn. I'm not sure if there are other ones but these are the ones I've seen.

I honestly had no idea that guy was in so many movies. The only one I can recall for sure was his role as the War Doctor in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, Day of the Doctor, in 2013.

He played the olivander in Harry Potter as well. One of my favorite roles by him since I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter.
