I'm currently kind of fascinated with my left ringfinger. Two days ago I had a little accident getting a splash of hot oil on it while cooking. It doesn't hurt much but it looks really fascinating. There is a huge blister on it now and I can't help but marvel at this ingenious way in which the body fixes itself. Cushioning the injured part of the finger under a soft blister of blister water keeping it clear of any germs... I can't help but marvel at it however uncomfortable it may look... speaking of which I am also wondering why the own injuries never look nearly as disturbing as injuries others may have.

I just noticed that my two most recent posts were both the 300th reply in both topics, making them the first post on the 16th page on both topics. :blink: Now that's a really creepy coincidence.

At the moment, I'm having trouble thinking at all.

My mind's main contents are, unfortunately, concerns about various tasks and responsibilities that I have to attend to: my proofreading job, sending PMs, posting in the RP, starting the rock tumbler… :unsure:

Looks like you were right, nick. We have just 75 posts left to go before we reach 300,000, but I can see that you now have 7 more posts than 30,000. I honestly doubted it could be done, but you proved me wrong.

With just 75 posts left to go, it looks like I might not be around tomorrow to see the 300,000th post. (I'm always online in the evenings.)

And 106 posts ahead of schedule, too. (As far as I can determine, his 30,000th post was the GOF's 299,894th post.) Congratulations, Nick!

I'm actually surprised by how quiet it is on the GOF right now. :unsure: I'm trying to think of what to post. (Specifically, how to really contribute to a discussion or something; to encourage others to post. I'd like to help liven things up around here.)
