I found this hilarious article while looking for SF (science fiction) stories.
The particularly hilarious part is that Japan seems the closest to the fictional world of cyberpunk SF works. Oh, yeah and that Japan has a lot of tech that could have come straight out of a cyberpunk or any SF novel.

Earthquake Sets Japan Back To 2147

Abe rejected persistent calls to simply reboot the damaged nation, saying that such a measure could result in the loss of vital data, such as Niigata Prefecture and sections of Mount Fuji.
