Now Don't Have to Download Them!!!

Hello people. I know that many people here have not seen the LBT tv series. Some don't know about my site where I host the LBT tv series for free. Now there's a new feature. I have the ability to code the video's directly into the site! That means that you can now watch the LBT tv series in a streaming window like on youtube instead of having to download them! I'm working on this, but the free streaming video host uploads at about 6kps so it's gonna take some time. <_< Anyway, here's the link:

I just realized that freewebs has a html interface too! :^.^: That's how I was able to do this.

Thanks! You got a pretty good one there yourself! I wish I could draw like that in paint! My avatar took about an hour to make, mainly cuz I kept screwing it up!

Well, I now have 17 vids online. One of them still requires admin approval though so it doesn't show up yet. <_< I hope to have the rest of them up by the end of tomorrow if I'm lucky.

I still prefer to download them so I can view them at just about any time I want to (that's why I downloaded every single one of them available

I now have all the episodes I have available for streaming. I will still offer the download feature of course, but now you can see if you really want to download it in the first place!

Actually, I can stream the videos on 4shared (where the downloads are), anyway. You are aware of this, aren't you?

The streaming in 4 shared is extremely unreliable. It doesn't work with firefox or IE lower than 6.0. It will work in netscape, but not very well. Not to mention that it's so slow. The way I do them, it'll stream the entire vid in under 20 seconds(making it so you can skip to any part in the movie in under 20 seconds of starting it). Very handy feature if you ask me. B)

I was just getting many complaints that people were unable to stream the vids. I prefer being able to encode the videos directly onto the page anyway.

Well, I assure you that these are never coming down. And, some people like Manny Cav who get 4kps would like to watch it before they spend the 7 hours downloading per ep. I couldn't even imagine spending 7 hours downloading a file and then it being crap. :blink:

Actually, the episodes on this dail-up connection downloaded at around 2.7 Kbps, and the download, depending on the size of the episode, would take anywhere from 3 and a half hours to a little over 5. The streaming feature would hurt me, if anything. Think about it. I would spend 5 hours streaming the video on your new set-up. Then, I would decided it's good. So, I'd spend another 5 hours downloading it off of 4shared. Thrifty use of time, eh? Besides, if it's an LBT episode, then it's good enough for me.

I'm very glad you put this feature on your site. I hadn't seen most of the tv episodes, so about two weeks ago, I decided to go there and watch the ones I hadn't seen as well as a few I already had. You definitely did a good job with this.

To stress a prior point, I prefer downloading episodes over streaming them. Downloading them means doing that only once, while streaming it means downloading them over and over again for every time I want to view the episode. This is especially bad for someone stranded on dial-up.

I'll still compress the movie to 50mb and put it in my download box. I have to compress it to 50mb anyway just to stream it.

And what if you have a special file?, maybe you may have a file compressed to the 50 megabytes for the streaming and have another file... bigger for the download?, maybe to have the streamed video as a preview?

Sorry, but I'm not going to release higher quality episodes for legal reasons. Especially the one's that are already on DVD.
