What is it that you never see any of the characters (ALL in general) do in the sequels or the Episodes? :lol

This topic may not last long but you never know.  If you wish to talk about one person thats is fine.

I have a good answer for this question but,   Let me hear from you guys first.    ;) If you don't mind

One thing we haven't seen so far is one of the characters REALLY letting the others down. Okay, we have seen Petrie lying to the others trying to find out about the stone of cold fire, but the consequences were not foreseeable for him. I could imagine situations though in which a character ends up in an absolute doomed if you do, doomed if you don't kind of situation where he or she can't really do the "right" thing because there just is nothing he or she could do without causing harm. I have a few plots with different characters in that kind of situation in mind.

I was going to say something similar to that. I would like to add to that that it isn't even mentioned at all.

I think it would be okay for "going to the bathroom" to be mentioned, but never shown. For example, someone says he/she needs to go, then he/she runs off into the woods and, a few minutes later, comes back, having finished doing you-know-what.

:lol that was just by the exact thing I was thinking of.  But mind you, doing it in public is TOTALLY Wrong that's privacy.  As long as it is done undercover that I can understand cause its natural, everybody can have there "Excreting Moments" I don't see what the big deal is.

Yeah I agree with him on that.  Lets think about this (going off topic for a bit) don't you ever wander if children ends up asking themselves or to others if any cartoon character ever had that "got to go"  feeling? ;) Now as long as the parents or any adult are there to teach them right from wrong, there's nothing to worry about.  But where a child's intelligence are low if the parents are not cautious its possible for that one child to believe that it is ok not to use the bathroom.   Next thing you know they end up getting Excretory Diseases.

:yes So in my opinion I suggest that not only LBT characters but any character under the educational animation category should show the young people that the Excretory System plays a very important role in our everyday life.

The entire valley got pretty pissed off at Littlefoot in LBT 11. I can't remember why, but I recall it was pretty bad.

You never see any of the youngsters come into physical confrontations with one another. There was a lot of Cera threatening to fight the bullies in the thrid movie, but it never actually happened.

Wow, I can't believe I'm the only person who thought sex was the answer right after reading the question! Seriously though, I've never seen them make any reference to any sort of drugs, so I guess that's a plus. Also, I've never seen any leafeaters get so pissed at each other that they have a duel or something.

It is a common convention that, even though we know all the characters in pretty much every story in literary history (possibly excepting some aliens or spiritual creatures) would do that, it is never mentioned. Unless it is suitable to create some prophane atmosphere or somebody is to be murdered in the bathroom it is just never mentioned but taken for granted. No reason why LBT should be different.

Littlefoot had had an accident which deprived the others of some treesweets and he lied to shift the blame on the tinysaurs he did not know at that time... Big deal. He did not knowingly risk anybody's safety, he was not able to foresee the consequences of his actions. It was less serious than what I am thinking of.

Littlefoot and Cera are fighting in the original and the fifth movie. Nobody gets ever really injured physically... and come to think of it this is something they could include. In spite of all they have gone through we never saw any of the characters worse off than loosing consciousness for a few seconds. Some more severe injury (no lasting damage intended of course) might be an interesting element in a story. One thing I have in mind in one story would have Petrie disabled from flying for a while as a result from an injury he suffered when he carried Ducky down a cliff (as the only means of escape when both are cornered by a predator). Cornered later again, with Petrie unable to fly, Ducky has to take him on a dive in a river... Sorry, I'm getting of topic.

I cannot point out often enough that the main characters are kids! The movies make very clear that they don't really know about the birds and bees (Littlefoot's question to his grandparents about babies in LBT 2 and his being unaware that every kid in the world would have a mom and a dad in LBT 10). Kids that they are, involving them into this comes very close to something pedophile :x
Do you want to see that?
The matter is a bit different about the grownup characters and I will readily admit that it is rather unlikely for example for Ducky (the one with an intact family) to have not a clue where her 13 twins are coming from (or the eggs in LBT 2 etc.). I am not in favor of the way LBT has been focused on a very young audience only in some of the recent installations, but I think this topic has to be approached very carefully unless one wants LBT to be turned into dinosaur porn <_<

hey um just to let you guys know this topic is not based on anything Gross, even though there was an answer I had is practically true (which was Excretory Moments).

But the question is still there for anyone to answer.  The answer can be anything based on what should have be inputted in the sequels and Series.  So feel free to say what you think or notice what is never shown.

Thank. God.

Did anyone by chance see that---that video?

You'll know what I mean if you've seen it. It's one of the sickest things ever filmed  :x As my dad puts it, "Dinosaur Train" is a "train-wreck".  :lol

And I guess I'll add that one thing I think is great about LBT is they pretty much never use any type of toilet humor. Ok, so they did in 13, but really, they were at a point where they could sink no lower.  <_<  I mean, other cartoon films like "The Lion King" and "Finding Nemo" have somehow gotten away with sick stuff like that  :x  (okay...to be fair it was fairly subtle in the latter) but LBT refrained from doing that that not only during it's best years, but really, for the most part in general.   :)
