I must confess I will be relieved when the Olympics are over. I probably just lack the right spirit, but personally I find it very boring watching other people ski or do whatever other kind of sports. Though I cannot pretend to be much of an athlet myself (only a fast runner) I would, if given the choice, much rather do any sports than watch others do it. Of course I would not interfere with anybody else's pleasure of watching the Olympics and wouldn't begrudge them for anything. My relief when the Olympics end will come mostly from the fact that they will air the regular television news at the regular times (currently it is mostly short snippets of news most of which revolve around the Olympics) at irregular times
Personally I am just a bit more concerned about politics and the recent developments (e.g. in Iran) than I am in how much time a given athlet from a given country (no matter which country) needs to do whatever that athlet is doing.
