Regarding the comics, it seems preview pages might be harder to come by these days, so I'll just start posting links to the announcements of when a new issue is released. To start off, this week had the released of part 3 of the Camp Bighoof miniseries:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/10/my-little-pony-camp-bighoof-3-released.html

Last week had the release of Issue 17 of the main comic series:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/09/my-little-pony-generation-5-17-released.html

A synopsis of Issue 20 of the main series was also revealed:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/09/my-little-pony-g5-comic-20-revealed.html

Some concept art for Make Your Mark has been shared (including some possibly from the upcoming Chapter 6):
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/10/possible-new-g5-location-revealed-in.html

Here's an official announcement revealing the long term plan regarding the Tell Your Tale series, supposedly continuing into the next two years with four half-hour specials and enough new episodes to go back to weekly releases starting next year:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/09/tell-your-tale-will-continue-into-2025.html

And of course, here's this week's new episode of Tell Your Tale:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH7dGAGLuAc

Spoiler: ShowHide
So this episode apparently takes place after the Main Six ponies have already supposedly stopped Opaline's evil plan, which I assume will be Chapter 6 of Make Your Mark. I'm not sure what would count as spoilers regarding that, but it seems that by this point, the Dragonlands are now fully accessible (at least via the Marestream) with at least three dragons active enough to greet visitors with a tribal dance, so these dragons apparently live as a tropical tribal culture. Anyway, the majority of this episode is spent showing an entry initiation given to the ponies by the dragons called the Lavarynth, which is a trio of challenges meant to test their bravery, wisdom, and creativity. Zipp takes on the bravery challenge by flying through a cave full of lava falls and swinging giant axes. Misty takes on the wisdom challenge (thanks to her experience from living under Opaline) by realizing that the scary monsters in the second cave are just harmless shadows. And Izzy takes on the creativity challenge by arranging everyone around to make a shadow puppet of a dragon to open the door out of the last cave. With the Lavarynth completed, the dragons officially welcome the ponies to the Dragonlands. I certainly like episodes like this where the focus characters have to work together and use their talents to overcome a gauntlet of challenges. As much as I would like to consider this among my favorite episodes, the lack of context regarding how the ponies got to meet and be on friendly terms with the dragons makes it difficult for me to really appreciate this episode that way it was likely intended. Hopefully, after Chatper 6 of MYM comes out to provide that missing context, I might find this episode more favorable, but for now, it's difficult for me to like something that leaves me confused.

I should probably put this part outside the spoiler tag. It seems that the release schedule between Tell Your Tale and Make Your Mark has now become awkward enough that it's possible there might be some spoilers for Chapter 6 of MYM over the next few episodes of TYT. I personally don't mind spoilers, so I'll continue watching these new episodes of TYT, but if you would rather avoid such potential spoilers for MYM, you might want to avoid watching TYT for the next two months. Regardless, I will continue as usual by sharing video links to each new episode as they come out and sharing a summary and my thoughts under a spoiler tag.

Not much new, aside from the usual comic releases. Last week, part 2 of Unicorn of Odd came out:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/10/my-little-pony-classics-reimagined.html

This week, the special issue Black, White, and Blue was released:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/10/my-little-pony-black-white-blue.html

Since that later comic seems kind of interesting, here's a couple preview pages from it:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/10/2-page-preview-for-my-little-pony.html

Finally, here's this week's new episode of Tell Your Tale (and I can at least say this one does not have any spoilers for Chapter 6 of MYM, unlike last week's episode, but rather fits perfectly after Chapter 5 of MYM):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eROcXVPEEu0

Spoiler: ShowHide
Okay, this was definitely an episode that rightfully should be shown at this time between Chapters 5 and 6 of Make Your Mark. This episode takes place inside the Breezie Night Market, with Alphabittle once again very happy to be spending some time with his daughter Misty. In a callback to a previous episode of TYT, the main six ponies come across the same kind of magical glitter that had once turned Sunny, Izzy, and Hitch into foals, and this time an ill-timed sneeze turns all six of them into foals. Much of the episode is spent with Alphabittle scrambling around the market with all kinds of shenanigans to get all six of them under control and preparing a special blend of tea to turn them all back to normal. (A particularly touching moment was his hesitation to give the tea to Misty, as he clearly wished he could relive the memories he had with her as a filly, but ultimately made the right choice to give the magical tea to her as well.)

While all of that is going on, Opaline finds out about the chaos happening in the Night Market and decides to take the opportunity to steal the cutie marks from the main six ponies, but she wastes so much time preparing herself in royal attire that once she arrives (via the teleporting power of the Together Tree network, which the Wishing Tree surrounding the Night Market is one of them) the main ponies are already cured and have begun to depart. Frustrated at arriving too late, Opaline decides to not leave empty-handed by stealing the cutie mark of whoever she encounters first, and the unfortunate pony in this case is Onyx (the unicorn poet we've known since the New Generation movie) who did nothing more than try to offer her some tea to help her relax. Unlike the final episode of Chapter 5 of MYM when everyone dismissed Opaline as a Nightmare Night costume and no one had apparently witnessed Posey's cutie mark being stolen, this time Onyx's cutie mark was stolen in plain view of several ponies, who all panicked once they realized what Opaline was capable of. This definitely has me curious just how much all the common ponies might soon become aware of regarding Opaline.

Overall, a rather nice episode that definitely fits in perfectly with where we currently are in the timeline of the G5 series.

Big news this week! Some preview images and a brief trailer for Chapter 6 of Make Your Mark have been revealed yesterday:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/10/new-teaser-for-my-little-pony-g5-make.html

And just hours ago, a one minute preview clip from Chapter 6 of MYM has also been revealed:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Lt0ZRREVg8

Less than a week ago, we also got news on some upcoming comics. For G5, there's the first issue of a new miniseries "Kenbucky Roller Derby":
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/10/my-little-pony-kenbucky-roller-derby-1.html

For the "Classics Reimagined" series featuring G4 characters, the next batch of issues will be based on Romeo & Juliet:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/10/my-little-pony-classics-reimagined_20.html

And, surprise! New episode of Tell Your Tale after only one week rather than two:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qpuzH59VLA

Spoiler: ShowHide
So it's yet another episode where one of Pipp's new beauty products goes bad and causes chaos, this time hair softener that's been tainted by some dragon hair from Sparky, causing manes to turn into monsters. And as you might expect, the cure is of course Sparky's dragon fire. Pretty much the only new element from this particular episode is Windy using her Trail Trotters experience to help Pipp along the way. Overall, this is pretty much just a filler episode that's worth watching only once.

Should be noted outside of spoilers, while this episode doesn't exactly have any spoilers for MYM Chapter 6, it does contain a reference that would seem to indicate this episode takes place after the Chapter 6 episodes. I guess we should possibly expect some more confusion among the upcoming TYT episodes until we finally do get to see MYM Chapter 6 next month.

Two comics were released just yesterday. First is part 4 of the Camp Bighoof miniseries:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/11/my-little-pony-camp-bighoof-4-released.html

In addition, we have Issue 18 of the main G5 series:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/11/my-little-pony-generation-5-18-released.html

And it seems Tell Your Tale episodes are now back to a weekly release schedule, so here's this week's new episode:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uicolKbb-y8

Spoiler: ShowHide
This episode apparently takes place immediately after Episode 4 of Chapter 5 of Make Your Mark, because it shows Misty moving into the Brighthouse with her new friends, with much of the episode spent on how she handles living in the same home with Sunny, Izzy, Zipp, and Pipp. For a pony who has lived alone with Opaline for as long as she could remember, it absolutely makes sense that she would be quite overwhelmed by now suddenly living with four rather enthusiastic roommates. When it gets to be too much for Misty, she runs to Bridlewood to talk about it with her dad Alphabittle, who helps her feel better about eventually getting used to her new home. When she returns, she is pleasantly surprised to find that her friends have made adjustments to make her feel more comfortable in her new home. Overall, absolutely a great episode that's worth watching.

For those of you concerned about spoilers, don't worry, this episode definitely fits in right after Chapter 5 of Make Your Mark. Just three more weeks until Chapter 6 finally comes out...

new information regarding the new mlp ttrpg has been released. They've revealed the changeling page
I'm not much into RPGs, so I hadn't shared much on what has been reported on the subject. Feel free to share some links so anyone else who might be interested will know where to look it up.

Anyway, part 3 of the four part comic miniseries "Unicorn of Odd" just released:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/11/my-little-pony-classics-reimagined.html

Also, some teaser images and clips from Chapter 6 of Make Your Mark have come out over the last few days:

https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/11/tiktoks-my-little-pony-page-has.html
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/11/official-lyric-video-for-make-your-mark.html

And just hours ago, another preview clip of MYM Chapter 6 has also come out:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQbuzO4XuzM

Finally, here's this week's new episode of Tell Your Tale:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2Rec4mDM20

Spoiler: ShowHide
Misty is introduced to another unicorn tradition in Bridlewood known as "Friday Night Food Fight" where everyone disposes of their spoiled food in a town-wide food fight. Even with Izzy on her side, Misty is terrified enough that she runs to her dad Alphabittle in hopes of stopping the apparent madness. When that fails spectacularly, Alphabittle reveals that it was Misty herself back when she was a filly who had accidentally started the tradition, so she now decides to to end it by outright decimating everyone in the food fight. Sure, the tons of action sequences were over the top at times, but once it was all over, Izzy explains to Misty that the ultimate purpose of the food fight was to allow all the spoiled food to be absorbed by the surrounding forest, so it's essentially a fun (albeit very messy) way to spread compost. Overall, while I wouldn't put this episode among my favorites, I found it to be a relatively good one.

Just like last week, this episode fits nicely after Chapter 5 of MYM with no spoilers from Chapter 6, which is now only two weeks away...

If you don't mind further spoilers for Chapter 6 of Make Your Mark, here's a full lyric video of the song from the Secrets of Starlight special:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/11/my-little-pony-make-your-mark-chapter-6.html

Speaking of Chapter 6 spoilers, this week's new episode of Tell Your Tale appears to be absolutely full of them:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqFi6jg_iAo

Spoiler: ShowHide
Yeah, whatever happens in Chapter 6 of MYM, this TYT episode would have best fit immediately after it, so in my personal opinion, this one should've waited at least until next week to release. Then again, Chapter 6 is also apparently going to include the Secrets of Starlight special, and from all the promo images and preview clips we've seen, I believe this TYT episode takes place after the three regular episodes of Chapter 6, but Secrets of Starlight occurs after all of that, so perhaps this episode being released now is meant to avoid any confusion for anyone who watches the three regular episodes and then sees how everything is suddenly very different during the special that follows.

Anyway, all that speculation aside, we see Opaline finally makes her existence very well known to everyone in Equestria with a live video proclaiming victory after stealing the cutie marks of virtually every pony, especially five of the main six ponies (including Misty, so Opaline does eventually learn of her switching sides) and holding their power within some kine of amulet (which kind of reminds me of the Infinity Gauntlet used by Thanos in the Marvel movies). Sunny is the only one left standing, and just when it seems Opaline has triumphed over her as well, everyone else watching the video decide to stand united, and their combined magic working together manages to overpower Opaline, which causes all the stolen cutie marks to return and Opaline to not only lose her own cutie mark but also get pulled underground by vines from the Together Trees, though not before defiantly vowing "this isn't over".

I somehow have a feeling we'll see an alternate version of these events when we see Chapter 6 of MYM, much like how a previous TYT episode was mostly a (slightly inaccurate) retelling of the events from the last episode of Chapter 4. I guess we won't know for sure until Chapter 6 finally comes out. Overall, if the timing of this episode's release had been better, I probably would've considered this one of the better episodes because we got to see the conclusion of a major story arc. As things are at the moment, we're currently missing a lot of context for this story arc, which I'm sure will finally be filled in once we see MYM Chapter 6 next week. I think I'll reassess my thoughts on this episode after we finally get the full picture.

Thank goodness we're now just one week away from the official release of MYM Chapter 6, so we can finally stop needing to concern ourselves with spoilers. As I have done previously, I'll make a post the day before and then later edit it with summaries and my thoughts as I watch each episode. Of course, seeing as it happens to fall right on Thanksgiving Day, I'll probably try getting this done very early in the morning, perhaps even practically minutes after it becomes available to watch.

Tomorrow, Chapter 6 of Make Your Mark will finally become available to watch on Netflix, consisting of three 22-minute episodes followed by one 44-minute special. As usual, I'll edit this post with summaries and my thoughts (behind spoiler tags as always) on each episode as I watch them. Due to family plans regarding Thanksgiving Day tomorrow, I'll be doing this at a much earlier time than I have done previously. Not to mention, I'd like to keep this post separate from whatever weekly news I'd like to share if there also happens to be a new Tell Your Tale episode tomorrow as well. Anyway, let's see how this (supposedly final) chapter plays out...

1: The Isle of Scaly
Spoiler: ShowHide
Picking up right where the end of Chapter 5 left off, the main six ponies fly in the Marestream to the Dragonlands, specifically the Isle of Scaly from the magic map. As soon as they arrive, the Marestream suddenly loses power and barely avoids crash-landing thanks to some quick thinking from Izzy. Soon after they land, they quickly encounter a group of dragons. While some are skeptical of the ponies, others are more open and reveal that two of them had recently been captured by Opaline. After much discussion, the ponies and dragons agree for some ponies and dragons to stay with the Marestream to try repairing it while the rest of both groups go to meet with the Dragon Lord, who turns out to be none other than Spike himself from the G4 series. Despite his memory being foggy due to having just woken up from a magically induced hibernation like all the other dragons, Spike is able to explain how Opaline had showed up after her banishment from the alicorn city of Skyros and in her desire to take all magic for herself, she became a fire alicorn after stealing some dragon magic, which prompted Twilight to not only keep Opaline out of Equestria with a magical shield but also put all the dragons to sleep in an effort to protect all forms of magic. After finishing the story, the other dragons remain indecisive on what to do, but Sunny's words of encouragement inspire them all to agree to help the ponies stop Opaline for good. As they prepare to leave, Spike takes a moment to note that Sparky is a very special dragon for having the ability to transform objects with his dragon fire, and decides to let Sparky stay with the ponies based on Spike's own memories of being raised by ponies. At the Marestream, the ponies are confused that the magical lantern that powers the vehicle is somehow weakened and continues to lose magical energy no matter what they do, but at least once the dragons agree to help, they decide to carry the ponies as they fly to Equestria. Meanwhile, Opaline has placed the two captured dragons under a spell and used them to help her steal cutie marks from several ponies from all over Equestria.

I definitely liked this episode a lot, enough that I'd call it one of my favorites of the entire series (though that could changes once I see the next two episodes). Sure, the dragons here look very different from what we saw in the previous generation of MLP, but I do like how they seem to have different abilities through their dragon fire, such as wind or light or water (we already know Sparky can transform objects, and if we want to count what we remember about Spike his would probably be teleporting objects). One fact from Spike's story I found interesting is that the Dragon Stone that Opaline had retrieved back in one of the Chapter 4 episodes is actually similar to the Unity Crystals in terms of how Twilight was able to keep Opaline from taking the magic of their respective groups. The part with Opaline hypnotizing those two dragons consisted of a song where Opaline pretty much brags about being evil and proud of it. Finally, while Spike doesn't make any specific references to his past from the G4 era (blame his fuzzy memory for now), you could tell from the way he speaks that he really could be a much older version of that same little dragon we remember (despite obviously having a much deeper voice), and it was certainly nice to see how excited Sunny was to finally meet someone who was actually there to experience all the legendary events that she had heard as stories from her late father. Overall, a great episode in my opinion, and with the action now about to really get underway, I'm eager to see what happens next.

2: Roots of All Evil (Part 1)
Spoiler: ShowHide
By the time the main six ponies return with the dragons, Opaline has already corrupted all three of the Together Trees and used them to rapidly steal cutie marks from the majority of the other ponies. With the dragons suddenly getting weaker, they learn from Misty how Opaline has been using the Dragon Stone, so Spike decides he and the other dragons will go to Opaline's castle to take it back, bringing Sparky with them since it was his special dragon fire that was taken by the stone first. Unfortunately, the dragons end up falling into Opaline's trap and she is able to enchant all of them, except Sparky who was able to stay hidden behind Spike. Meanwhile, as Hitch helps the Maretime Bay ponies by staying together near the Together Tree, the other main ponies check on the Unity Crystals, but while those artifacts are okay for now, Zipp is suddenly able to piece together the mystery and explains to her friends how the Together Trees act like portals between each other and that Opaline is able to use them to steal all the cutie marks so quickly, with Misty revealing that it was possible because there's a fourth Together Tree in Opaline's castle that was never able to grow well because Opaline absolutely refused to practice any unity, which is what really powers those trees. Now realizing the full scale of what's really going on, Hitch maintains his guard duty in Maretime Bay, Izzy speeds on her scooter to Bridlewood, Pipp and Zipp fly to Zephyr Heights, and Sunny and Misty remain at the Brighthouse to keep an eye on the Unity Crystals. Soon after, Opaline returns to Maretime Bay, now wearing an amulet with open slots for a very specific group of cutie marks. Hitch puts up a valiant fight on his own, but Opaline is eventually able to bring him down and take his cutie mark, causing one of the six colors of the Prisbeam magic of the Unity Crystals to disappear, a devastation that everyone all over Equestria immediately recognizes.

Okay, so some events from this episode (and the next one) were already spoiled by last week's Tell Your Tale episode, but I knew we would see those events extended out more in ways that would actually make sense (and probably make this two-part episode much better as a result). Specifically, now we know why Hitch was the first to fall and why Izzy went to Bridlewood while Zipp and Pipp went to Zephyr Heights (though it seems only the next episode will reveal how Misty ended up confronting Opaline in Zephyr Heights). While it was great to see the main ponies finally understand the full picture of what's really going on, it was quite a shame to see the dragons completely fail so quickly (though perhaps Sparky staying hidden might allow him to do something significant to help the heroes). Also, I just want to come out and say it; that amulet that Opaline made for herself with its open slots immediately made me think of the Infinity Gauntlet from the Marvel movies. Overall, I'm very excited at seeing how much the action has picked up to this point, and I now look forward to see how it all concludes in the next episode...

3: Roots of All Evil (Part 2)
Spoiler: ShowHide
Opaline's next move is to try breaking through the magic shield protecting the Brighthouse, but after Opaline drops her amulet in the process, Misty takes it as a diversion, distracting Opaline by admitting that she had turned against her after finding true friends. Opaline is unable to find Misty, but does manage to retrieve her amulet, so she decides to go to Zephyr Heights next, unaware that Misty has followed her through the tree portal. When Opaline confronts Pipp and Zipp, Pipp tries to distract Opaline by showing how her cutie mark becomes especially powerful while she's singing, and with the "better acoustics" of the old hangar room, Zipp uses the diversion to trap Opaline under one of the deflated hot air balloons lying around, but Opaline quickly breaks free and takes their cutie marks. Just as Opaline prepares to leave for Bridlewood, Misty stands up to her, finally revealing her newly acquired cutie mark and explaining how she got it by embracing true friendship, but Opaline just brushes her off and takes her cutie mark before departing. In Bridlewood, the unicorns attempt to fight off Opaline by pelting her with rotten food, and while Izzy is able to get away thanks to briefly fooling her with a fake cutie mark she had crafted, the enslaved dragons quickly stop her, allowing Opaline to take her cutie mark. Meanwhile Sunny has watched helplessly as all but one of the Prisbeam colors vanish, but Zipp calls to inform her that she has realized the Together Trees are really powered by the unity expressed by ponies, so with the message out for all ponies to gather close to their local Together Tree, Sunny decides to take the fight directly to Opaline and confronts her at her castle, taking with her the ruby heart locket she had been gifted from the Breezies. Sunny puts up a good fight, but ultimately falls and Opaline is able to take the last remaining cutie mark, allowing her to break every single protective spell all over Equestria. However, it was right after that moment when all the ponies all over Equestria begin singing together, spreading unity magic to remove Opaline's corruption from the Together Trees, which inspires Sunny so much that the locket opens to release a rainbow that ensnares Opaline. At the same time, Sparky is able to break Spike out of Opaline's enchantment, allowing him to use his teleportation dragon fire to help Sparky grab the Dragon Stone and release all the dragon fire magic back to the dragons. This then causes the fourth Together Tree to release all of the stolen cutie marks back to the ponies they belong to and it also starts absorbing the unity magic from the other tress, allowing it to come alive by taking away Opaline's cutie mark and entrapping her within its roots. Spike is able to get everyone outside just in time to watch that Together Tree grow so much that it completely engulfs Opaline's castle. After Spike then brings the rest of the main ponies to join Sunny, he lets Sparky decide where he wants to live, and the baby dragon chooses to stay with Hitch. After Spike and the other dragons begin flying back home, a portal opens at the newly grown together tree, releasing some snowflakes, one of which somehow turns Izzy into some kind of crystal pony.

Just like the previous episode, I knew last week's Tell Your tale episode gave hints to the events of this episode, such as why Pipp was singing to Opaline down in the old hangar, how Misty came to confront Opaline at the Together Tree in Zephyr Heights, the part where Izzy briefly fooled Opaline with a fake cutie mark, what drove Sunny to go alone to Opaline's castle, and how the unity magic from everypony turned the fourth Together Tree against Opaline. Perhaps the most glaring difference from the TYT episode was the complete absence of any dragons, especially the decisive part Sparky played. Also strangely absent was the contribution of that magical ruby heart locket, which (from the rumors I've heard) is based on something similar from G1 of MLP. Anyway, some other things of note in this episode was near the end where Spike makes significant use of his special dragon fire power to teleport things. Especially adorable was Sparky choosing to stay with Hitch while speaking his first word "home". I also look forward to the possibility of seeing Spike again in whatever series continues the G5 storyline. However, with the way this episode ended, it seems we're immediately going straight into the Secrets of Starlight special, though with the epic conclusion I felt from this episode, I don't have high hopes for that special being able to really stand out in comparison. Overall, an absolutely epic way to conclude the main story arc of Make Your Mark, making the entire series worth watching. Now to see what this apparently bonus special can contribute...

4: Secrets of Starlight
Spoiler: ShowHide
The main six ponies wonder why a new portal has opened at the giant tree where Opaline's castle used to be, and after some magical snowflakes turn them all into sparkly versions of themselves, they decide to go through and investigate. They find themselves in a winter wonderland, and despite the gradually shrinking portal, they decide to visit the nearby town. The place looks deserted at first, but they soon find all the residents celebrating inside the main hall. Once the main six make their presence known, the locals are startled and hide, but after some friendly assurance, two of them (a mare named Violet Frost and a stallion named Comet) open up to them and explain that they are "auroricorns" who live in the town of Starlight Ridge, and while they love their home very much, they have never been able to find out anything about other places. The auroricorns then cautiously agree to share some fun activities with them such as ice skating, sledding, and making ice sculptures. As they complete each fun activity, an aurora bursts in the sky, but the auroricorns become suspiciously apprehensive every time it happens. Even stranger is when a town bell rings and all the auroricorns suddenly insist on going to sleep and tell the main six to go home.

While the portal still remains barely open, the main six soon come to a consensus that they have been brought here for a good reason and decide to return to the town to find out what's going on. When they arrive, they discover all the auroricorns entranced with forced smiles and wandering around with some crystals plucked from the aurora bursts in the sky, with the monster causing it being some leopard creature named Allura (hope I spelled that right) with a bratty rabbit assistant name Twitch. The main ponies are able to break Violet Frost and Comet out of their trances by dragging them far enough away from town, so the two auroricorns explain how Allura had taken over control of Starlight Ridge by taking possession of some sacred relic (I can't remember what it was called) and has been enchanting them with some persuasion magic to force them to be happy enough to make aurora bursts and try finding the one star crystal that can open portals to other realms. With this information, the group of ponies decide the best way to stop Allura is to take back the stolen relic. They come very close to succeeding, but the plan falls apart at the last second, so Allura responds by enchanting the other ponies until only Sunny and Violet are left. However, when a mishap causes one of the enchanted ponies to break free just from slipping and falling into some snow, Sunny remembers an earlier remark that the snow of this realm has special healing properties, so they simply throw snowballs at their friends and they all do the same for all the auroricorns, overwhelming Allura so much that they're able to take the relic from her and she is forced to leave for now.

After letting Violet have the relic and thus become the new leader of Starlight Ridge, the main ponies are dismayed to discover the portal has vanished. However, another mishap breaks open the relic, revealing a star crystal that is able to open a portal, meaning Allura had what she wanted the whole time and never even realized it. As the main ponies prepare to return home, Comet declares that he wants to go with them and explore Equestria, so they agree to let him join them, with Izzy keeping that crystal so they can reopen the portal back to Starlight Ridge whenever they want to. Later, as the auroricorns celebrate, Twitch overhears them talking about how the outsider ponies were able to open a portal, so he shares the information with Allura, and with that portal still open, she and Twitch do not hesitate to go through.

Well, with the rumors that Make Your Mark was being discontinued at the end of this chapter, I was hoping for a final conclusion, like we pretty much got in the previous episode. Instead, it finishes off with a special that seems to set the stage for the next story arc, much like the special from Chapter 1 had done. However G5 is able to continue the story arc from here (especially with the introduction of Comet as apparently a seventh member of the main group of friends), one thing I anticipate from fan content would be shipping between Izzy and Comet, based on how those two frequently interacted with each other. I do at least appreciate how a one point during the battle that the main six ponies identify themselves by their supposed elements (Hope for Sunny, Kindness for Hitch, Courage for Zipp, Confidence for Pipp, Creativity for Izzy, and Empathy for Misty). I honestly don't have much more to say here (I guess my lack of sleep is really catching up to me now, and I'm pretty sure I might already be forgetting some details), so I'll just say that, overall, this special was rather average in comparison, with the current uncertainty of how the story will continue from here making it very difficult to really appreciate what it did manage to accomplish.

And that's it for Chapter 6 of Make Your Mark. Personally, I think it would've been best to have the final chapter of Make Your Mark consist of just the three regular episodes and make the Secrets of Starlight special be the first part of some entirely separate series. I don't know what will be next as far as G5 content goes. I do remember that Tell Your Tale was initially made with a total of 70 episodes, so there will definitely be at least three more yet to come. After that? Well, we'll just have to wait and find out.

For those of you who have not yet watched Chapter 6 of Make Your Mark, here are some preview clips that came out in the days leading up to its release:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/11/another-music-video-released-from-mlp.html

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5nE56L-pi8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2H3cmIeUDI

Among the comics, a synopsis for part 2 of the Kenbucky Roller Derby miniseries has released:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/11/full-synopsis-cover-writers-and-artists.html

Now here's something pretty neat. Among the items sold in a massive auction in a recent MLP convention are original scripts from every FiM episode from seasons 2-9, including handwritten notes:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/11/scripts-with-notes-from-my-little-pony.html

And regardless of whatever holiday is happening, it's Thursday, which means it's time for the next new episode of Tell Your Tale:

Spoiler: ShowHide
This episode obviously follows the events of the Secrets of Starlight special at the end of Chapter 6 of Make Your Mark. An invitation to attend a fancy celebration in Starlight Ridge provides us with an opportunity to see the realm and its auroricorns in the TYT animation style. Aside from various gags, pretty much the only thing that really happens in this episode is Sunny getting paranoid over hearing what she believes might be the sound of the evil snow leopard Allura. While Sunny's friends are ultimately able to help her get over her supposedly irrational fears, we do see that Allura and her rabbit minion Twitch have indeed followed the ponies into Equestria. Overall, a rather modest episode that does little more than prepare this series for the next story arc.

Thank goodness we no longer have to be concerned with spoilers in these upcoming TYT episodes, now that Chapter 6 of MYM is finally available to watch.

Issue 19 of the main comic series was released last week:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/11/my-little-pony-generation-5-19-released.html

The fifth and final part of the Camp Bighoof miniseries was this week's new comic release:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/12/my-little-pony-camp-bighoof-5-released.html

And it seems Tell Your Tale episodes are now back to the bi-weekly release schedule, so here's this week's new episode:

Spoiler: ShowHide
Everyone is preparing to put on a holiday themed talent show, but Sunny puts a lot of pressure on all of her friends to perform excellently due to a renowned critic attending among the audience. The acts fall apart at first under the pressure, but once Sunny recognizes her mistake and allows everyone to relax and just be themselves, the rest of the show goes great. After the show, the critic turns out to not be the pony Sunny had assumed, but was actually Windy disguised as one of the chairs, who gives a very positive review. Overall, a pretty average episode with not much to make it really stand out at all.

As far as the comics go, it seems the main series is ending on the upcoming Issue 20, and what we'll see after that will instead be a bunch of mini series and one-offs, so while the comics remain ongoing, it seems they will no longer be connected in a single long-running series. For example, one of these upcoming one-offs was recently revealed:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/12/my-little-pony-mane-event-one-shot.html

And as usual, here's this week's new episode of Tell Your Tale:

The main ponies are attempting to tell the rest of Equestria about the events of Secrets of Starlight by making a movie about it (presumably making use of the Canterlove Studio they had renovated back in Chapter 4 of Make Your Mark). However, Pipp has such a huge desire for drama and action that it frequently comes at the expense of historical accuracy, which frustrates Sunny several times until things reach a breaking point, at which point Pipp finally notices that the other ponies involved in making the movie are not enjoying all of her ridiculous additions to the script and she eventually agrees with Sunny that the real story on its own is already exciting enough. For me, much of this episode was a little difficult to watch, as I completely agreed with Sunny that much of Pipp's deviations from the real story became increasingly ridiculous, especially once Comet was brought in near the end. Overall, while not really a terrible episode, it's also not exactly a very good episode either in my opinion, so I guess I'd call this a rather mediocre way to end the first full season of Tell Your Tale.

And apparently, Episode 70 marks the end of Season 1 of Tell Your Tale. A second season is definitely coming up early next year, though it's currently unknown when exactly the first episode of the new season will become available to watch.

With no official date yet on when Season 2 of Tell Your Tale will begin, I'm not going to wait around while there's some recent news regarding the comics.

The fourth and final part of the Classics Reimagined miniseries The Unicorn of Odd just released:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/12/my-little-pony-classics-reimagined.html

Also just released is Issue 20 of the main G5 comic series, the final issue in that series:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/12/my-little-pony-generation-5-20-series.html

I'll be sure to let you know when I find out more about Season 2 of Tell Your Tale. Until then, I'll just continue to share further releases of upcoming comics.

Well, looks like Season 2 of Tell Your Tale has just begun. From what I've heard, it seems these episodes will be coming out once a week, with the first 22-minute special due to come out sometime in March. Anyway, here's this week's new episode:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEHdrD2NKBw

Spoiler: ShowHide
A fairly typical day in Maretime Bay is interrupted when Zipp discovers a mysteriously icy area in the forest (despite presumably warm weather) and decides to send a message to Hitch to inform him, but a slip on the ice causes her to accidentally send that message to literally every pony in Equestria. With everyone suddenly panicking, Zipp quickly assures them all that she'll figure out the mystery, and with help from Sunny, they discover that Allura and Twitch have somehow left Starlight Ridge and arrived in Equestria. Sunny and Zipp are able to sneak away unnoticed and inform their friends. After the six of them reassure themselves with their cutie mark magic, Zipp informs every pony that Allura really is in Equestria, but assures them that things will be okay as long as they all stick together.

Not much really happened in this episode, but I do appreciate that they're not going to leave the main ponies completely unaware of their greatest threat like they were with Opaline for much of the previous story arc. This time, they will definitely know right from the first episode that Allura really is going to be someone they must watch out for. They may not know how she came to Equestria or why, but at least for now she doesn't know that they know about her, so that gives the ponies an early advantage. Overall, a rather mediocre episode, but nicely informative enough to serve as a decent first episode of the new story arc.

First of all, I forgot last week that I don't need to summarize these episodes before I state my thoughts since anyone can watch them on YouTube, so I won't bother wasting my time on that going forward. Anyway, I found this episode just got more and more ridiculous as it progressed. The carnival theme seemed okay at first. Misty being unfamiliar with it was understandable, but her unprepared status being spontaneously resolved by magic was a little absurd. Pipp's costume being too oversized and Misty and Izzy solving the problem with a little unicycling ingenuity was actually not that bad in my view. Then just when I think the episode will end on a standard high as yet another mediocre episode, there's suddenly some random tradition that only Izzy among the main ponies remembers about being pelted by fruit, which of course ruins everything for Pipp once again. The final solution? The main ponies calling out their special talents to magically resolve everything. I now feel like G5 is falling into the same deux ex machina trap that G4 had with their Elements of Harmony (albeit without the more blatant necessity of any physical objects), and now that we've seen it being applied strongly in both of the first two episodes, I honestly do not like it. Overall, it's not looking like a good start to the new season, in my opinion.

Not much new this week, so I'll just get right into this week's new episode of Tell Your Tale:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BmxSavWXII

Spoiler: ShowHide
It's Sparky's birthday (though it's not specified how old he is), and as you might expect, his transforming dragon fire causes trouble, this time by turning the cake into a giant destructive dragon. Much of the episode was okay as we saw several failed efforts to stop that cake dragon, ultimately ending with Hitch using his earth pony magic to catch it in a giant flower. Hitch then compromises with Sparky's birthday wish for a sibling by using his earth pony magic to convert the cake dragon into a plush dragon, which Sparky is happy with. As weird as that ending seemed, I was more dismayed by once again hearing the main characters specifically declare their element before unleashing their magically convenient solution (though this time it was just Hitch rather than all six of them, so at least that's somewhat of an improvement). I feel as if these new episodes are being written as if we had never seen any other episode before, which seems kind of pointless in my opinion. I guess the rumors that G5 going forward would be catered to a much younger audience might be proving somewhat accurate, so while I'll continue watch for the sake of awareness, I now don't have high hopes for the rest of Season 2.

If you happen to play the mobile game Mane Merge, that game recently received an update:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2024/01/gameloft-updates-my-little-pony-mane.html

Apparently, it has been confirmed that Chapter 6 was the final chapter of Make Your Mark (whether that means we'll eventually see a new G5 series or if we'll be stuck with TYT for the foreseeable future remains unknown):
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2024/02/make-your-mark-chapter-6-was-final.html

With how often we've seen Jazz and Rocky enjoy being together, I'm surprised it took this long for a romantic attraction between them to be confirmed. What does not surprise me is the majority of this episode has the main six trying to help Jazz with asking out Rocky, with all efforts predictably failing spectacularly (I'm not a fan of cringe humor, so that's a big negative for me). Not much else to this episode, but at least I'm glad there's no power call-out this time like the last three episodes had, so that gives me a little hope for future episodes. Overall, a rather mediocre episode that I feel like should've been made much earlier.

This week's official comic release is Part 1 of the next Classics Reimagined G4 miniseries: Romeo & Juliet, featuring Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich:

Okay, finally an episode that actually caught my interest. Misty follows a flying magic book and stumbles into a secret room inside the Brighthouse, but her main concern is making the door out of the room reappear so she can escape. She eventually succeeds (though not without a few mishaps) after she realizes the book she followed is a magic spell book that'll teach her all kinds of magic spells, with the first such spell she learns being how to make the door appear whenever she wants to visit the secret room again. This is very significant for G5, as virtually all unicorns have done little more with their magic than basic levitation, with none of the complex spells we remember from G4's unicorns, so this really opens the door (no pun intended) to possibly seeing these G5 unicorns relearn some of those lost spells, with Misty being the one to rediscover them and possibly even share some of those spells with her fellow unicorns. In addition, it was hard to miss the stained glass windows in the secret room depicting the G4 ponies, and unless I'm mistaken, this might be the first time ever in TYT that any direct reference to G4 has been made, albeit as merely background images. Even so, this episode had its lesser moments in my opinion, such as that spell book just spontaneously show up at the beginning, along with Misty reciting her power-up call-out to cast her spell to escape the secret room. Overall, easily my favorite episode of Season 2 thus far, though that's honestly not saying much.
