2011 Awards

Hey guys!

We have a slight dilemma. We need a clear cut winner for the Appreciated member award peeps! At the end of first round voting, the following members all have 3 votes each:

brekclub85
campion1
vonboy

So, the votes for these three members is open again but only for the next 3 days!! Please would you cast another vote for either one of these three members so we can have a clear winner. Voting which close on Thursday 14th July 2011 at 12midnight (forum standard time)

Yes

The same rules apply as to with the earlier award voting (so the limit is that in case anyone voted for one award on himself already he would not be permitted to vote for himself on this one, but I daresay most would feel awkward voting for themselves on the "Appreciated Member Award" anyway

My vote goes to vonboy. Not only is he a very polite, friendly, and understanding person, but from what I have seen, he is extremely committed to the goals he sets for himself, and is quite the proactive member, especially when it comes to fanfictions. I also have enormous respect for how he handles critique; when I agreed to review his fanfic, he apparently expected that I would tear it apart (constructively, of course

), and seemed downright enthusiastic about it!

I too vote for vonboy. He's a very great guy, who took it upon himself a very difficult challenge (reading EVERY fanfic that was a candidate for the award), and has done his best to make sure he can. He gives good, constructive criticism, and is always fun to talk to and he remains positive.

Vonboy has been very active on the GOF and I appreciate his activity a lot. I also enjoy our chats a lot Brekclup85. As I said with the first vote already this is one of the most arbitrary and therefore difficult votes to cast. In the end however my vote for the Appreciated member award goes to Campion1 whom I appreciate a lot for posts, MSN chats and his part in the RPG I participated in.

Of our three tiebreaker candidates all of them have shown their dedication to the forum and all enhanced the community in there own ways. It's tough trying to pick one of them since they are all great members but I'm am going to vote for brekclub85. His contributions are often very engaging and thought provoking and above all, has fun on the forum which is what it is all about.

If it is still tied it goes to the admins. at that point there is no more public voting, the admins meet in the staff room and cast their votes. this has only happened once in the history of the awards,, in 2009 the Roleplaying award runner-up vote had to be broken by the admins.
