'ello mates! I've been scoring the 'net for DAYS looking for a good "The Land Before Time" group/forum and had all but given up when I stumbled upon this place. What luck! =D
I'm known as Artemis Panthar, but you can call me Artie, Arte, AP, or whatever you wish really (Although I'm not partial to 'Art'). I'm a 19-year old animation student (on hiatus) from sunny ol' Southern California. I graduated early from high school (at age 15), and bounced around a bit before going to college. I've been on the internet for ages and have been known by my alias for a long time so if you see another ArtemisPanthar out there, it's probably me!
I'm big into cartoons and grew up watching "The Land Before Time" series. Part way into it I kind of lost interest in the sequels but I really love the new TV series. Good stuff. My other favorite cartoons include: Rocko's Modern Life, Loonatics: Unleashed, Peep and the Big Wide World (it's just too cute XD), Tiny Toon Adventures, and on and on and on.
To note, I don't particularly care for anime as a whole. I don't dislike it, I'm just hard to please with that particular animation style.
Aside from animation, I'm a huge horror fan of all mediums. I'm OBSESSED with the Silent Hill series! I love horror movies, but I view them with a discerning eye: I hate the lackluster ones made just to make a buck because it perpetuates the idea that the horror genre is remedial and it really isn't. But I shall not rant about these things to you =D
My favorite movies are: Stay (you MUST see this movie), Jacob's Ladder, Silent Hill, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Se7en, 12 Monkeys, Brazil (and a lot of others...)
My favorite musicians are: Morrissey/The Smiths, Green Day, Colin Hay, and a whole bunch of songs by individual artists.
My favorite video games are: All the Silent Hills (although 2 is my favorite), Psychonauts, Skullmonkeys, the Sly Cooper series, the Ratchet and Clank series, and on...
My favorite book is: The Wainscott Weasel by Tor Seidler. A rare find but an absolutely fantastic book that deserves much more attention than it's gotten. I also like the Redwall Series and various horror books. Oh, also, Haruko Murakami.
This is really running long (although quite short for me XD), so I should wind down now. I do hope I didn't leave out anything but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I look forward to talking to ya'll in the forums!
