It is yet again time for another solar eclipse.  I am so lucky to live near where it'll be happening tomorrow.  I won't be able to see a full eclipse though, only a partial one.  Still, it's a rare event that I'm not willing to miss.

To see if you are close enough to see it, go to the link below.

See ya later! :)

It's actually an annular eclipse. It's like a total eclipse in that the moon and sun are directly in line, but the moon appears smaller and the sun appears as a ring behind it. I, too, won't be able to see it.

Live stream for those who can't see it!  It's happening now!

I sadly have too many clouds to see it, so I have to settle for this. -_-

See ya later!

Still, nice to have this option.  At least we can see the eclipse and not miss it.

Well, that's that!  It's officially over!  Quite a beautiful thing to see.

If you watched it, give out your thoughts on it!

See ya later!

I missed most of it, but I did get to see it on the ustream link.  It was an interesting & amazing thing to see, what I did see of it.  I guess I saw something like between the last 30 minutes and hour.

I had forgotten about the solar eclipse, to be honest.

It wasn't visible on the eastern seaboard, but I did see some nice photos on FB :).

Boy, this is a big year for big astronomical events, isn't it?
I'm looking forward to the Venus one...probably because there's a chance that I'll be able to see it, unlike the eclipses and the Super Moon...which I sort of did

I didn't even bother following this eclipse, since I knew I wasn't going to be able to see it from where I live (one of the eastern U.S. states). The Venus transit, on the other hand, is something I'm certainly looking forward to. :yes

Interestingly, I read in an online article that this eclipse passed over much of Japan (which is incredible, considering that it's such a long and narrow country), and that Tokyo hasn't seen this kind of an eclipse since the year 1839.
