The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Who am I?

Annubis (spelling) the Egyptian God of Death? I'm afraid I'm not very familiar with Egyptian mythology, but he brings the souls where they belong (separated by good and evil) on board of a ship.

Neither, but you're getting close.  The mythology on the creation of day and night will tell you the character I'm talking about, who has been attacking a very important ship to keep it from rising back into the sky, therefore sparking the never-ending battle between light and darkness, and created day and night.

Anyone want to continue guessing or should I let the mic go to someone else?  The answer to this Who Am I is found in the Egyptian mythology on the creation of day and night.

Ok then.  The answer is Apep, a monster that daily battles the sun god Re in his ship.  As Re steers his ship to the underworld to check on those in the afterlife, Apep tries to keep Re's ship from returning to the sky, therefore starting the neverending battle between light and darkness.  And Re wins the battle every time and returns to the sky, creating the continuous cycle of day and night.

Anyone now has the next question.

I don't know, but a Villainess being mentioned in Shakespeare and also in a series called "Merlin"... I guess it might be Morgause, the sister of king Arthur and mother to his son Mordred?

Morgause and Morgan le Fay are not the same. I thought so too, but in fact they are two sisters. I have not seen that series so it was just a guess. In which Shakespeare play is the character mentioned?

Hippolyta? I am not sure whether or not another possibility that came to my mind is mentioned in Midsummer Night's dream. That other possibility would be Ariadne.

No Ariande was the maiden in Greek Myth was was famous from her weaving skill. She became famous and boasted that she could outweave the gods. This enraged Aprodite, who challenged her to a weaving contest. Aprodite, being a god, outwove Ariadne, Ariadne , crushed that she lost, hanged herself. Aprodite then changed Ariadne into a spider. The creature i was lookoking for was Queen mab.

Certainly. mab , in case you are wondering, is mentioned in a forest scene where Titania and Oberon(The King and Queen of the forest faeries) are talking. i can't recall who mentioned her exactly(I think Titania) but I know she is mentioned. Shakespeare was a great researcher of myth and history, and used them often in his plays. In the miniseries Mab was played by Miranda Richardson. anyway,  I accompanied Emilia Earhart on her last flight.

Who is Emilia Earhart? I can't find her at Wikipedia and google only provides me with lots of schools named after her and song lyriks that mention the name. I never heart of her.
