The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I have a habit of randomly making chicken noises. :lol …And occasionally flicking my tongue in and out of my mouth like a lizard. :p

I like listening to death metal whenever I write fight scenes in a story or RP.  It just gives me that rush :p.  One of my favorites while writing such scenes is Rammstein's "Du Hast" ;).

I listen to "epic" trailer music, electronic, heavy metal or hard rock when I write.

I have the most awesome umbrella imaginable; it has a handle that is that of a katana.

I sometimes use foreign language versions of profanities.  And no, I won't post 'em here for obvious reasons (underage visitors and non-English speakers :p).

Instead of swearing, I often spout nonsense words and strings of untranscribable gibberish. :p Other times I use real words that aren’t swear words, like “sheep!” :lol

I seem to be prone to coincidences. :p For instance, I was going to post my fact about substitute swear words even before CT and lbt/cty_lover posted theirs.

Adding on, I actually do that, to.

My alarm clock can get as loud as 113 decibels. To put that into perspective, a jackhammer is 100 decibels. That's right. My alarm clock is louder than a jackhammer.

Since I'll be going to college about a month from now for the first time, my dad bought me a new laptop for me to use while I'm there. I am currently using it right now, and I'm planning to do all of my web browsing on this laptop from now on. It has Windows 7 on it, a system that I have never used before.

Oh, nice. Same here for the college thing, except I got a desktop. By the way, where are you going again? You probably mentioned it, but I never saw the post(s).

I'm off to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in a month. I'm at the peak of excitement.

I wanted to stay local, so I'm going to Vermont Tech to study mechanical engineering. I originally wanted to go to a college that offered aerospace engineering, but there weren't any such options nearby enough to where I live.

WAIT!! You wanted to go into aerospace engineering? That is an awesome major. Personally, I'm going for a math/physics double major with a minor in computer science.

I've always had a fascination for astronomy, and I've always been very good in my math classes, so I figured that I should find a career that combined both of them, and aerospace engineering seemed like an ideal option for me.

One benefit I see for majoring in mechanical engineering is that (I hope) it'll give me more options of which career or job I might be able to get, and let's face it, in this economy people will take a job anywhere they can get one. (After all, I've failed to get a summer job this year for the second time in a row.)

I like donuts.

I'm guessing Canada makes better donuts than I've had in Europe :DD
