The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

In my lifetime, my family has owned a cat (who died of old age last November :cry), two dogs (both of whom were fatally hit by cars), two Triops (tadpole shrimp), two or three ant farms, a short-lived colony of sea monkeys, and an indeterminate number of goldfish and tadpoles. Our present menagerie consists of a leopard gecko, a Roborovski hamster, and a kitten. :DD

My first cat died, so we got a second. Not as big as your little zoo, I know.  :lol

My favorite TV channels are Military History, Military and the History Channel.

Interestingly, the first 2 channels have proven to be useful in writing Twilight Valley.

I'm a fan of Halo and Half Life, despite never having played either game (I don't play video games.) I've read the official walkthrough books and the novel tie-ins for Halo, and watched the video walkthroughs on Youtube for Half Life 1 and 2.

I'm a fan of Comedy Central and Cartoon Network, mainly for the Adult Swim shows like Robot Chicken.

I recently realized that my body probably isn't suited well for being outside (at least not like it used to when I was a kid). Today and yesterday, I helped my family and grandparents at a yard sale. Yesterday, I think I was outside for about a total of five or six hours, but I got sunburn on the backs of my arms, hands, and neck. Today, I decided to spend less time outside and wear my jacket whenever I was outside to prevent my sunburn from getting worse. Even though I often wear my jacket whenever I'm outside, 75 degrees and sunny skies isn't exactly good weather to wear a jacket.

I once saw a B-1 Lancer Bomber at an air show. It was much larger than the pictures made it look.

I'm pretty susceptible to sunburns myself, probably because I have such pale skin. I don't usually get them, though, since no matter what the weather is, I always wear the same wardrobe of long pants and turtleneck shirts. :p

I don't sunburn that easily; I have an almost-Mediterranean complexion, darker than my mother, lighter than my father.

I REALLY don't like roller coasters. They scare the pants off me.

I'm the complete opposite :p.  The bigger, the better!

I've ridden several roller coasters... I can't say I like them all that much...

I've only been on one roller coaster in my whole lifeóa small one that was very mild in terms of speed and slopiness (it didn't loop at all)óand you still would have needed a crowbar to pry my eyelids open or my fingers off the bar in front of me during the biggest drop. :p

Of course, that was several years ago; I may not be quite so easily shaken by such an experience today (though I still wouldn't hesitate to classify myself as a "scaredy egg" :p). The next time I get an opportunity to ride one of those things, maybe I'll try it just to find out. Though you still probably won't see me on one of those giganzo roller coasters with the 90? slopes anytime soon.

Really, I am not made for them.

I have a bike, but have not used it for some years... it is a mountain bike. I admit that I forget the specifics of it...

I got a bicycle earlier this summer, but I don't use it everyday, or at least most days, like I should.  I ride with it set on the highest gears so I can truly get a workout :p.

I also used to do some skateboarding, but was never that good at it. I'm much better at bowling, soccer, basketball, tennis, and track.
