The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Same, except with 5 other dudes. Small elevator. My boss ripped the doors open.

I also was trapped in an elevator. with 13 PEOPLE. In NEW ORLEANS. WITH NO EMERGENCY thing in it. o.O It was a miracle we all got our alive.

It's funny too, because I still remember I had a funny feeling going inside the elevator with my parents, but I was also nervous being a large group of people I didn't know. So I really should have followed my instincts, and possibly try to get my parents not to go in.

Just once? Amateur! :p I've hit my head on the lower sections of stairs, slanted attic ceilings, the corner of a cupboard (several times), open cupboard doors (also several times), a low living room ceiling (I was jumping up and down), a chandelier, my brother's head (he's got a skull like a Pachycephalosaurus), the headstand of my bed, the wall of my room (since I got rid of the headstand, that's what I've been hitting my head on when I wake up in the morning :p), and the inside of an inverted glass bubble looking into a fish tank at an aquarium, just to name a few things. (No wonder I have memory problems today...)

Pronounced "pan-JEE-uh". Spelled with three A's. Represented by a Lystrosaurus.

^ Yes, I'm a regular klutz. :lol Not only do I have the depth perception of a myopic rhinoceros, :p but my feet suffer from such a bad case of high arches that I can lose my balance even if I'm standing still. Tripping, slipping, stumbling, fumbling, and falling are frequent problems for me (though I've gotten better at breaking my falls lately), but, as my signature maintains, they are still vastly eclipsed by my vocal clumsiness. :p

I once played pac-man on an original arcade machine... in my grandparent's basement! I also got a job on craigslist with the advice of a friend, and I used to chase pigeons with another friend when I was a child...

Ok, well, this doesn't have to do with injuries, in fact, it's something I've had when I was a kiddie and it was the reason for my LDs and who I am today:

I've had seizures when I was a kid like from a baby to 9 years old. Once I had my tegrotol, they stopped and I never had them again.

Hehe, here's somethin' we share in common.  Also, I've hit my head on a hanging flower basket (my mother happened to be with me and laughed her a** off, especially when I said, "I just took a geranium to the cranium!" :lol), an iron plant hook sticking out from the fence (I was running by the fence and not paying attention :p), an alarm clock, a coffee table, a sofa (I have a dent in my skull where I hit my head.  Good thing it's not visible), a window, the pavement, ice, a locker door, and many more things than I can keep track of :lol.  A funny one was when I jumped to get into a Ford Expedition (I'm short) and I jumped a little too high and smacked my head :lol.  Oh, and I once got pegged in the head with a glass cieling light cover.  A relative tossed it to me when I was not paying attention, thinking I knew it was coming :lol.

I once turned around to respond to a relative while walking through a parking lot and tripped on one of those yellow barriers.  I cleaned pretty much all the skin off my right elbow :x.  Thankfully, I did not need stitches, but I have a lovely scar to remind me of my mishap...

I was alternating between laughing and wincing sympathetically the whole time I was reading that post. :lol

Your story about the Ford reminded me to add the ceilings, doors, and door frames of cars to the list of things I have hit my head on (along with tree branches, fridge and freezer doors, and the undersides of tables ). Most of the cranial impacts I have received occurred while I was either rising from a sitting, crouching, crawling, or lying position (striking my head on something above me), or while I was walking with my line of vision directed at the ground (to avoid slipping or tripping on things), not noticing that I was approaching the ticket booth to Ouch City. (I'm about 6' 1", which unfortunately appears to be an ideal height for receiving head injuries around my house.) :p

Hopefully no one minds me making one more post on the subject of personal experiences with head injuries. :lol It's sort of birthday related, so I could say that it ties in with Cancerian Tiger's last post. :p

My skull was the unintentional recipient of a blow meant for a piÒata at my 8th birthday party (lucky for me the bat was hollow and plastic). It was somewhat ironic (some might even say karmatic), seeing as I myself had decapitated the piÒata a few minutes earlier.

At age 3 / 4 I got electric shocks from a power socket no less than three times!
One should expect a kid to have learned the lesson after the first stroke (obtained by pricking it with bare fingers), but no I was too inquisitive and stupid for that and had to give pricking power sockets with a needle respectively a straw a try as well. Is it not a marvel that I ever reached my current age? :lol
