The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I talk to myself almost constantly; mostly muttering my own thoughts under my breath, or uttering random words or noises that I like the sound of. Paradoxically, while I like things quiet, it seems that I can't abide total silence. :p
One more thing we share in common ;).

I also randomly quote film quotes, video game quotes, and (occasionally) song lyric quotes :p.
I also have this trait.

Again, it seems that the 3 of us seem to mirror each other...

Mostly, I quote lyrics and movies, rarely video games.

I'm quite good at making various sounds.  Just tonight, something about "One Missed Call" reminded me of "The Grudge".  A friend was with me, and they hated the noises made in that series.  So, just to mess with 'em, I did both the cat meow and the loud groaning sounds :p.  Needless to say, I'm the only one that found it funny .

Isn't that just like singing to yourself?

(I do that also, death metal growls at random)

I have a recorder-like memory, and can probably play a song on the violin after hearing it once, and sing the lyrics after about four times...

For someone who can remember enormous quantities of detailed facts about dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, my short-term memory can be pretty pathetic. :rolleyes For instance, on regular occasions I am downstairs (at my computer, watching a movie, or what have you) and I need to go upstairs to get something; I run upstairs, and as soon as I get there, I think, “Now what did I come up here to do?” :slap :bang :wacko

I remember vast amounts of random stuff (like the fact that France gets over 50% of its power from nuclear and the French Superphenix reactor, an advanced liquid metal fast breeder reactor, was shut down sometime between 1997-2006) but I occasionally forget important things.

Another ironic fact about me; I'm capable of noticing tiny details (it's remembering them that's the trouble :p) in film, in writing, and on physical objects, but it appears I'm almost equally proficient at missing enormous, blatantly obvious things right in front of me. For instance, I'm very bad at noticing address numbers on buildings, and signposts on roads (one reason I don't drive :p). I also seem to have developed a habit of not noticing where my younger brother is; looking around for him; then realizing that he's standing right behind me. :slap

I have a habit of wearing a particular t-shirt for each day of the week. For example, if it's Thursday, I'll wear the blue t-shirt. If it's Monday, I'll wear the black t-shirt that has a yellow stripe across the front. Now that I don't have a school schedule to follow, this habit is actually one of the best ways of telling me what day it is. I'm currently wearing a red t-shirt that has a blue stripe across the front, so that tells me today is Friday.

What happens if a T-shirt for that particular day is in the wash?

I have something similar to that as well. I have five shirts that I have labelled as "week-day" shirts. One of those shirts has a set day of the week, and I make sure it never is in the wash on that day of the week.
