The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Three words that I just have not been able to keep out of my vocabulary lately (with the consequence that I randomly mutter them almost every time I am anxious, frustrated, or trying to think) are "bucket", "chicken", and "ham". :P:  :wacko :p :lol :confused

Pronounced "pan-JEE-uh". Spelled with three A's. Represented by a Lystrosaurus.

Whenever I order food, I hate keeping people in the dark about why I ordered the way I did. When I make an uncommon request, it comes with an explanation. Take when I eat at Wendy’s for example.

“I would like the number six, plain except for a tomato. I would like to large size the fries but keep the drink small. For that, I want a coke with no ice. The reason I want no ice is because I have very sensitive teeth. Drinking ice cold drinks feels like tiny daggers in my mouth.”

Or getting pizza from Dominoes’.

“I would like a medium hand-tossed pizza with pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, and roasted red peppers. I do not want the seasoning on the crust because I never eat the crust so your seasoning would only be wasted. I would like one box of breadsticks with extra seasoning because I have a weak sense of smell so I don’t taste things very well, having to dump salt all over my food to even taste it.”

I just have a desire to be understood by people. When people wonder about me, it just doesn’t feel very good. So whenever I can, I explain myself.

There are now two other members who share my starday instead of one: 2007excalibur2007 and one of our newcomers, Justin1993 :D.  Out of the three of us, I still remain the oldest :p.

While on the subject, I just now noticed there seems to be a lot of Cancers on the GOF :angel  :lol.

^Interesting you would talk about birthdays and horoscopes m'dear. More and more, I'm having a lot more faith in horoscopes then when I was younger. There's a lot more to the horoscope then what most know. :p

Petra is a variant of the Greek name "Petros" meaning "strong" or "rock." Andi is a variant of the Greek name "Andy" meaning "masculine" or "brave." Therefore, I am tremendously brave and strong! :lol

I've got a horrible bloodflow in my feet.. They're basically always near-frozen.

Ever since losing a lot of weight (yeah, forty pounds is a lot), I have found that I get cold really, really easy.  Even in the summertime around here when it's in the 90's at night with an equal number of humidity, and with the windows open and the air off, I still sleep under quilts with socks on.  I do not have any disorders (i.e. hypothyroidism, anemia, etc.) that cause me to feel like this.  It's just my new and improved physique :p.

I don't have a bed in my room. I instead drag a mattress out into the living room every night because out there there is a heater for winter, air conditioner for summer, and a huge tv :P:

At least you were inside a vehicle. I was outside. I wasn't thinking and I was trying to save a couple things from the storm. If it wasn't for the metal whachamacallit on the top of the house, it could have been me that got struck by lightning.

I regularly wear a wristband featuring Boober from Fraggle Rock :D

That's awesome! I wish I could I see it, since I like Boober a lot. :smile

I don't know if I said this before, but I have a plushie of Kermit, my favorite Muppets characters since I was a baby.

Random Fact: I actually used to have a larger plushie of him when I was a kid that my mother had given me when I was a baby, but I ended up losing him though. However, I still remember what it looked like. It was the same size as me at that time as well.  :DD  :D

I have pulled a knife on someone in self-defense. Although to be fair, it was actually directed towards his dog who lunged at me. Luckily the man understood my fear and apologized and hustled his dog away.

I have problems with occasional pounding in my ears.  It starts off quiet but then gets louder and louder and could last for up to several minutes at least.  It started when I was sixteen, and I was afraid I was developing some sort of psychosis.  However, as I learned, it turned out to be just a part of tinnitus.  Not sure which is more annoying: the pounding or when my ears start ringing :confused?

^I can relate with ear issues, though mine are more towards the whole thing of keeping them clean and what not....they tend to get waxy. :p

My music tastes vary all across the spectrum. You can find me listening to anything from Hip-hop/rap to Opera. :)

I get tinnitus occasionally…and my ears are real wax factories, too. :p It's embarrassing how often I need to ask people to repeat something because I didn't hear it clearly the first time they said it. <_<
