"Delta squad has been following us but we lost them for a while." Zachary said.

"I wouldn't count on losing them again." Alfred said, readying his shotgun.

Dr. Zanasiu did the same shotguns and Dr. Kerzach flipped open his knife.

"Aisha and Dr. Landon, are you all prepared to fight if we need to?" Zachary asked.

Dr. Branston nodded "I'll send Gamma squad as reinforcements. And I'll send over Metal Storm." He then radioed gamma squad and the scientists in charge of Metal Storm.

Deeper in the hidden base Gamma squad, a large squad of 10 troopers, suited up for battle.

Aiko had finally tapped into the security guarding the main reactors, knocking out the cameras, sensors, and the defense turrets. "I hacked into the room," he said. "But it won't hold up forever, at least until we manually take the system down."

"Then we can't wait forever for our friend to get better," Feral replied. "Aiko and I will move in and take out the reactor. Vic, stay here and keep him stabilized."

At that, Feral and Aiko headed for the vents mapped to lead to the fusion reactor room...

Meanwhile, Dr Joe cautiously looked into the room at the experiment. "Hello?" No reply. "Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you. I'm Dr Joe. Are you known as X-278, or do you have another name?"

Several more moments of silence, when...

"...I...don't have a name..."

Two of Ariol's trained assassins, one a cobra and the other a human female, began their way to the cafeteria from the other direction...

(OOC - Metal Storm is not a Dragonstorm experiment. He's an ordinary Dragonstorm aligned cyber experiment.)

The hidden door in the freezer slid open as the 10 heavily armed troopers filed through it. They immediately fanned out.

Inside one of the secret base's lab, Metal Storm and his scientists were preparing him for battle.

Metal Storm, a powerfully built humanoid nodded as he heard the orders. Metal Storm looked like an ordinary Human, but he stood nearly 9 feet tall and was composed not of flesh, but gleaming metal. Indeed, the only organic part of him was his brain. He was once a Dragonstorm scientist who was fatally injured when one of his fellow scientists, who had discovered that his son had been kidnapped and later killed for Dragonstorm, hacked him to death with a fire ax.

He detached his left arm, a simple metallic Human configured arm with 5 fingers and swapped it for an arm that was nothing but custom built belt fed M249.

"Hey, Metal, aren't you going to use the arm I made for you?" one of his scientists asked.

"I think using the 30 mm round indoors is a bad idea." Metal Storm replied.

The scientist shrugged. "Suit yourself."

Metal Storm nodded. "Wait, do we have the so called Minigun here?"

The scientist nodded.

Metal Storm swapped out his new arm for his previous arm and he headed to the armory, there he grabbed his minigun and draped nearly 6000 rounds of ammunition in the form of disintegrating link belts over his shoulders.

He then headed out of the secret base.

Dr. Bailey's eyes fell out of his head as he saw 12 red dots appear out of nowhere in the cafeteria. He hastily radioed Dr. Zanasiu. "Doc Z, there are 12 new hostiles in the cafeteria. Add that to the 7 of Delta squad and you've got 19 hostiles coming at you."

Wayne shook his head. "This was an office. Offices only have one door."

"This one has two!" Shelton crossed to the wall where the original door used to be. "This used to be hollow, so it's weaker. We might have a chance to bust it down."

"It's better than running the gauntlet outside." Alfred said. "Does anyone have anything to break the weaker wall down?"

Dr. Kerzach held up his knife. "This is it."

"Wait, we have our out weapons! We can use them like hammers, just keep pounding the butts of our rifles and shotguns at the weak spot." Dr. Zanasiu said.

Alfred shook his head. "With so many in a confined space, an accidental discharge can have deadly effects."

Dr. Kerzach sighed. "Well, here goes!" He then slammed his knife into the thin sheet metal of the wall that Shelton indicated. The knife easily pierced the metal.

Dr. Kerzach said nothing as he began cutting the metal with a rather loud tearing sound. After several minutes he had cut away the metal, which Alfred and Zachary carefully placed aside.

Dr. Kerzach then swore softly as he realized that he had encountered a layer of drywall.

"Well, I guess we have to smash our way through." Dr. Zanasiu said.

"With what?" Zachary asked.

Dr. Zanasiu, Dr. Kerzach and Zachary looked at Alfred.

Metal Storm had now entered the cafeteria. He encountered Gamma squad and paired up with them.

Dr. Bailey noticed another dot appear on the radar but it registered very weak life signs. He quickly radioed Dr. Zanasiu. "Doc Z, I've got another life sign in the cafeteria. It's very weak, so it's probably a cyber experiment." He then activated the camera in the cafeteria and zoomed in on Metal Storm.

"Doc Z, I have a visual. It is a cyber experiment. It's armed with a M134 Minigun. You'll need heavy weaponry to take it down. Doc B out."

Dr. Zanasiu sighed as he listened to the transmission. "Well, we've now got a cyber experiment after us. And we'd better hope it passes over us or we can get away."

"If Alfred doesn't want to beat the door down I can," offered Bradley, flexing his biceps.

Wayne looked at the door. "Seriously, anyone have a spare weapon? At all?"

Alfred nodded. "All right, I'll try."

He then delivered a powerful kick to the drywall, his workboot shod feet propelled by his inhumanly strong muscles shattered the drywall like it was made of paper. "That was easy."

Zachary also joined in, the metallic clanging of his horseshoe shod feet battering down the drywall echoed around the room.

Dr. Zanasiu looked at Wayne. "Sorry, we only have one weapon. WE can get you another one soon."

Clyco and his charge, along with the other bodyguard were making their way into the deeper parts of the base when suddenly the wall in front of them caved open.

In panic the VIP hid, while Clyco and the other guard drew their side arms. He made sure he was using his free arm, as the other was bound by the case he was carrying.

"Who is it...identify yourselves!" hollered the other guard, while Clyco checked his clip to make sure he had ammo in case of a confrontation.

Shelton flattened himself against the wall. "They've got us! Hide!"

"We'd all be dead by now if they were the enemy!" retorted Wayne. "Quiet!"

He stepped forward, hands in the air. "I'm unarmed," he said. "We're just scientists. We were trapped in the room and just wanted to leave. I'm Wayne Anthony, assistant to Dr. Kyle. Who are you?"

Dr. Zanasiu and Dr. Kerzach, hidden in the back kept their weapons at the ready.

"It says here that Professor Wong was the scientist who was taking care of you."

"He...put me down here to be safe..."

"From who?"

"I don't know..."

"Stand down... their friendlies," said the other guard. Clyco obeyed, and the VIP they had been escorting stood up to address the newcomers.

"We were told to deliver our cargo to Section 482-b in the subliminals of the base, but apart from the front guards this place has been nearly deserted. If I may ask what is going on here?" The nameless VIP asked.
