On each is the entire repository of knowledge from the embryo lab computers. There's enough on them to shut down Dragonstorm and everybody involved, so long as we can get out of the base with at least one."

Alfred nodded and showed Aisha and Dr. Landon a large refrigerator in the office. "Help yourselves." he said.

Zachary and Dr. Zanasiu followed. "Got anything in there?" Zachary asked.

"Shelton! Want some food? The fridge's in the back!" Dr. Zanasiu called.

"I'll keep an eye out." Dr. Kerzach said. He then quickly sealed the door.

Aisha and Dr Landon grabbed food from the fridge. Aisha groabned she saw there was no meatball sub, but instead she found a pair of baloney sadnwiches.."Better nothing " She complained, taking a bite out of the first one. "anyone hre like baloney

Dr. Zanasiu swallowed a large bowl of cold vegetarian curry. "Ugh. I never want to eat that again but it's better than fighting on an empty stomach."

Zachary quickly gulped down a large head of lettuce.

"Should we simply kill Delta squad or just run? I mean we've got one of their experiments on our side?" Alfred asked.

"Let's avoid bloodshed if possible. If we kill Delta squad, it is possible that even more squads will come after us." Dr. Kerzach said, munching on a granola bar he had in his pocket.

Shelton checked the chip rack. "Typical. Still out of salt and vinegar chips."

He used his quarter to buy a gumball instead.

Delta squad by this time was converging on the lab where the group was hiding.

"Open up!" Delta leader shouted. A heavy thud shook the door.

"Damn it! They must have gotten one of those portable rams. And from how hard it's being swung, they must have a draft horse swinging it." Dr. Zanasiu said.

"Let's move. We can't risk a shootout." Alfred said.

"The emergency exit!" Zachary said, pointing to the a door in the back of the lab.

Alfred, Dr. Zanasiu, Dr. Kerzach and Zachary sprinted into the emergency exit.

"Do these guys stop?" Alfred asked.

At the same time, Delta squad had breached the lab only to find out that they had escaped.

Delta leader swore. "They must be heading down the emergency corridors. We'll cut them off."

"Um, I'm not armed." Dr. Kerzach said.

Alfred, Dr. Zanasiu and Zachary readied their weapons as Aisha spoke.

"If only we were running through the maintainence hallways." Dr. Bailey said.

"Why's that?" Dr. Zanasiu asked.

"Sometimes, 55 gallon drums of lubricants for machinery are stored there and..."

"We can open one of those drums and create a huge slick of oil." Alfred finished.

"Exactly."

Hawkeye turned to face the door, then briefly nodded at Ridley.
"Nice to see another avian on the team. Pleasure."
He said, locking his cannons on the door...

Kagetora spun, unholstering his gun and facing the door.
"Sounds like they're close to breaching it..."
He said, unafraid...

Ridley beeped in response.

Dr. Kerzach thought a moment. "Something like grease? Wait a minute, my last project required the use of high temperature grease!" He then reached inside his lab coat and pulled out a half full tube of high temperature grease. "And I've still got some! If I can cover even part of the hallway in grease we should have enough time to escape." He then turned to the group. "Aisha, Dr. Landon, James cover me!. He then opened the tube and began squeezing the grease in a zig-zagging pattern across the floor.

The door finally caved inwards as a heavily built Percheron battered the door down. The Percheron tossed the ram aside and readied his SMG. Two shotgun wielding troopers filed in after him and began sweeping the room.

Delta leader and her remaining troopers were outside.

Dr. Kerzach tossed the tube of grease away. "We've got it. Run!"

The Percheron immediately opened fire on the group. Two other troopers tossed grenades towards the group.

Dr. Zanasiu, Zachary and Alfred killed the two troopers, then bolted down the hallway.

Delta leader and her remaining troopers waited outside the lab.

"I hear gunfire. Move in! Head for the emergency exit." She ordered.

The 5 remaining troopers filed into the room and ran for the exit, completely ignoring Hawkeye, Kagetora and Ridley.

Aisha and Dr KlAndon turned and began running after the others, aisha periodically returning fire. the grenades exploded behind them and ignited the hgrease, creating an inforno of several thousand degrees. the floor began to crack.. "Hurry, the floors going to collaspse from the heat!'Dt Landon shouted..

Shelton was at the head of those getting out of there. He realized Ridley had flown off his shoulder at the sight of Delta force. "Take care of Ridley!" he yelled back to Hawkeye. "His lasers for eyes might be useful!"
