"Understood" Stern said to Zachary. "Might I ask what your position is in this installation?" he asked Zack.

(OOC - Yes, Clyco is the only survivor of an attack in the sublevels.)

"I'm an assistant to Dr. James Zanasiu." Zachary replied.

Dr. Zanasiu spotted a plate that read level 6. "We're here."

He then opened the door. The lights were off. He quickly turned on the light at the end of his shotgun. "There's no light."

Zachary did the same with his rifle.

Dr. Zanasiu and Zachary carefully entered the floor. It was eerily silent.

Alfred and Dr. Kerzach were still destroying the lab.

Alfred activated a hydraluic press and quickly drained the hydroluic fluid.

Dr. Kerzach drained the water from a water jet cutter and ran the pump until it seized.

Corporal Stern drew his rifle, which was his main firearm... and kept those he was escorting in his sight... not only was it too quiet... it was as if the room was cleared to give ambushers a clear shot at whoever entered... had they stepped right into a trap?

"It's quiet, too quiet." Zachary muttered.

Dr. Zanasiu swept the room with his light. It showed the remnants of an intense battle: bullet casings strewn about, bodies of both experiments and Pelvanida guards.

"Hmm. Didn't Feral say he was taking a team down to the fusion reactor?" Zachary asked out loud.

Dr. Zanasiu nodded. "He did. These must be the troopers sent to kill him. And looking at this place it looks like they must have sent more than one."

Shelton smashed a Bunsen burner on his fifth swing, then watched Alfred take down the entire hydraulic press. "Show off..." he panted.

Dr. Kerzach drained the water from a laser cutter's cooling system and ran the pump until it seized. He unplugged the laser cutter, removed the laser assembly, opened the casing and removed the flash lamp which he promptly tossed into another hydraulic press. He then turned the press on and let run. He then turned it off, depressurized the system and cut the hydraulic lines with his knife. He watched as the fluid began to leak out.

Alfred then proceeded to destroy the last remaining piece of equipment, a rockwell hardness tester by shooting it several times. He quickly reloaded his shotgun and shot out all but one light. "I think we're done here."

"Shelton, I disconnected the pipes. If you want me to do so, I can flood the lab." Dr. Kerzach said.

Suddenly, Snow's ears twitched and her gaze turned away from Neku down the halls. Something has just entered the sub-levels...

Vic looked up to notice her expression change and shouldered his submachine gun. Quietly, he moved to where Dr Joe is at and tapped her on the shoulder. Dr Joe knew this and slipped inside the room for shielding. The young experiment looked over at Dr Joe with fearful yellow eyes...

As Snow moved Neku behind a pile of crates, Vic moved forward and stared down the hall, waiting...

"Fire, or I guess water, away." said Shelton, setting the hammer down and massaging his cramped hand. " What now? I think we should try to find some way to get into that lab behind the cafeteria freezer."

Clyco could see why this gun needed such an elaborate cooling system, it was quite the monster.

Overall it was about the same size as an ordinary rifle, but it sported a futuristic sighting system and non-conventional ammunition packs. The Srgt. couldn't help but feel the power as he hefted the experimental rifle to his shoulder and took aim at a nearby storage crate for practice. He wondered what it fired.

Loading one of the ammo cartrages and clicking the sight bar into place Clyco readied the weapon for use, but was only halfway through his normal checklist when he heard footsteps outside the door...

they sounded human.

Zachary with Dr. Zanasiu behind him opened one of the closets only to come face to face with Sgt. Clyco.

"Sgt. Clyco? What happened?" Zachary asked.

"Corporal Stern, we've found our victim." Dr. Zanasiu called.

Alfred held up a key card. "This what you need? I found it taped inside the maintainence panel of the hydraulic press. I don't know why anyone would place a key card in a place you need a screwdriver to get at."

Dr. Kerzach turned the water on and a rapidly growing puddle formed under the sink. "Now we leave." He then turned to Alfred. "Nice find!"

"Hey guys! A squad's heading towards us and..." Hans began. Two gunshots were heard then silence.

At this point, Delta squad entered the room. One of the troopers spotted Alfred and fired a net at him. Alfred was entangled in the net and he tried to rip the net apart to no avail.

Two troopers immediately handcuffed Alfred and dragged him to his feet.

Delta Leader walked in, SMG at the ready.

"Well, if it isn't Shelton and his friends. Enjoying some vandalism?" she said. The remaining troopers filed in and leveled their weapons and Shelton and Dr. Kerzach.

"Well, aren't you the looker?" Dr. Kerzach said. He was staring at her face, hidden by the combat helmet.

"Silence." Delta leader replied.

Two troopers then handcuffed Dr. Kerzach and Shelton. "You and all your friends are coming with us."

Hans and Werner were outside the door, their weapons had been confiscated and they were handcuffed.

Delta leader picked up Alfred's shotgun. She along with the rest of the troopers lead the group out of the lab at gunpoint.

Two of the guards rifled through Shelton and Kerzach's pockets, taking any equipment they found.

Shelton's guard came away with an aspirator and a flash drive. "What's on this flash drive?" the guard demanded.

Shelton glared back. "My grandma's secret recipes. They're a family heirloom."

"Don't make me hit you," snarled the guard. He took the flash drive to Delta Leader. "Found this on the human one. He won't say what's on it."

What is taking those guys so long' Aisha grumbled as she and dr landon waited, unaware that many of their team had just been captured.. this was a bad break for them, as it put pressure on aisham dr landon, zaniusu and the others not to suffer the sane fate..

"We'll find out when we take them to the prison." Delta Leader replied, pocketing the flash drive.

Dr. Kerzach's guard pocketed the knife and Leatherman tool he found on him.

The guards of Alfred, Werner, and Hans stripped them of their weapons and ammunition.

After a few minutes, Delta leader marched the group over to a utility closet in the male's restroom.

"A bathroom closet?" Dr. Kerzach spat. "Real secure."

Delta Leader put her SMG to Dr. Kerzach's head. "Shut up or I kill you."

She then headed over to the utility sink and turned the hot and cold water faucets on in a pattern, the sound of water striking the sink produced a distinct rhythm. Soon a beep was heard and the wall next to the sink, which was blank save for a binder containing the MSDS of the cleaning solutions, swung outwards. The short well-lit hallway lead to a large freight elevator.

"Go in." Delta Leader said coldly.

"Holy [censored]." Alfred said. "I knew about this."

"Shut up and move!" Delta leader shouted.

The guards then forced the entire group into the freight elevator, which was the size of a small room.

Delta leader pushed a button and the elevator door closed and it began to descend.

Dr. Bailey shook his head. "I don't know. They don't have radios. Or if they took them from a lab, I don't know which scientist the radios are assigned to."

Corporal Stern continued escorting his group... when suddenly, he saw a flash of light... the reflection of the sun against... a firearm?!

"Everyone, get down!" he yelled.

"Back off... I've got a big gun and I'm not afraid to use it," called out Clyco as a group of stranged barged into his closet. They could be friendly, but with all the crap he'd seen so far it paid to be careful.

"Primary Target set," called out a computerized voice from his gun, "secondary targets assimilated and compensated," on the tac screen he could see crosshairs appeared on all three of the strangers, and two of them were on the ground behind the wall... all he had to do was pull the trigger to get all three of them,

"Idenify yourselves!" Srgt. Clyco added.

"I am Dr. James Zanasiu." James called out. He was still prone.

"I am Zachary Johnson." Zachary replied. "Is this Sgt. Clyco?" He too was still prone.

Dr. Bailey gulped. "If they've been caught... I don't know what to say. They're on their own if that happens. Luckily, Hans, Werner and Alfred are quite tough characters. I'm sure they'll make it out alive."

The elevator stopped and Delta squad marched the group to a cell block. There she placed Shelton and Kerzach in one cell, Hans and Werner in another and Alfred in another.

"Have a nice day." Delta leader said sarcastically. She took her squad and left.

There were only two guards in the cell block and both appeared to be unarmed.

Dr. Kerzach examined the prison. It was solid stainless steel with just a simple metal toilet and sink installed. The locks were a simple key mechanism.

"At least they didn't torture us this time," Shelton muttered to Kerzach under his breath. He looked around. "I got out of one of these before. Problem is, I was in a laboratory. Not much to work with this time."

"This is Srgt Clyco,my escort force is KIA and my mission is compromised," the soldier lowered his weapon, and like that the targetting device disengaged. This gun was pretty high tech - he was sure to get bashed back home if they found out he was using it.

"Protocol doesn't cover situations like this, so I am inclined to offer my aid to you people, provided you tell me more about what the hell is going on here,"
