Scarface was glad that Longtail and Cera found some of their family members. But still he was hungry. But then he recognized a voice he knew from somewhere. He turned around and saw Cyrix. "Cyrix", he gasped as he walked over and bowed. "I am glad that you are alive sir."

Ecco also recognized Cyrix and walked over to him. "Hey, it¥s good to see you again mate."

Even as Kit smiled, happy as well that Cyrix was ok, she couldn't help shaking her head a bit, "Somehow...it doesn't surprise me as much as it should that Mr. Cyrix made it" she said, still unable to drop the formal title they'd called him as kids.

Cyrix smiled at the group of dinos before him glad to see that so many survived.
"hello Ecco, glad to see you made it. Although all things considered, I'm not too surprised that all of you made it...as a group you seem to defy danger. Good thing I suppose." he said with a small laugh.

Pearl finally let go of Longtail with a smile of her own and sighed.
"Yes, we seem to have a great deal of luck when we are together like this."

Longtail however looked to the sky, and replied at a whisper,
"Then why does it feel like our luck is about to run out?"

Cyrix then asked a question.
"Do we know if anyone in the Mysterious Beyond has survived?"

Cera took a step back but then whispered in Tricia's ear. "Daddy? Tria?" she said so quietly that no body else could hear.

(OCC: Just so you guys know GVG has given me control of Tricia)

Tricia shook her head slowly and watched as Cera looked down at her paws. The little threehorn looked desperately around for a way to take Cera's mind off their parents. "Cyrix kept me all nice and safe Cera!" she in an upbeat tone.

"Other than us?" Twiz indicated those present, half or so of which were from the Mysterious Beyond, then thought on Cyrix's question. "Well...I didn't see many others, but then I guess we've just proven that doesn't always mean the worst"

Ducky went over to Cera and embraced her in an effort to comfort her.

"Do not be sad, Cera. No matter what, you still have Tricia, and you still have us, yep yep yep," soothed Ducky.

Cyrix nodded his head.
"I suspected as much, but we may not know who survived until we actually get out of the valley.

Azure gasped for a moment as she thought about what Cyrix had just said. "You can't be serious?! Leave, the Great Valley? That would be dooming us!"

Longtail turned to Ducky and replied,
"It just feels...like this...may be our last adventure, or at least mine."

"Not...with the big group we are" Twiz said. Azure's slight shelterdness was off course part of her charm, but Twiz wasn't sure if the Valley was really any safer than anywhere else at this time.

He did ponder if there was somewhere safer than with the moving group for Flip as well as Longtail's hatchlings to stay, but couldn't think of one.

Longtail looked down at the ground as he heard Chompers response, and although he knew the sharptooth was right...he still felt bad. He also heard Azure and Twiz's conversation and he looked over at them as well. He sighed aloud and said "Azure...if we stay here we're doomed. If we leave, we might just have a chance...however slim but I'll take that chance to survive over dying here in the valley."

Cyrix nodded with his nephew.
"Longtail is right. But first, we need to find as many more survivors as we can. I'm sure Longtail has already sent members of his herd looking for others. I just hope they have good news for us."

Longtail then turned to Kit and Petrie.
"I need you two to fly over the valley and find my herd members along with Ruby who moved to the south of the valley...and if at all possible, try to find Dante and Zaine...they have a habit of getting themselves into trouble when I'm not around. And don't worry, I'll make sure Azure and Twiz stay out of trouble too." he said with a laugh.

"Yes" Cera responded to Itchy's question before Longtail had the chance. The three horn's entire demeanor had changed. The sadness was gone and her face showed how serious she had just become. "Cyrix is right, we can't stay here. We've all been through alot of crazy stuff in the past and we've managed that just fine. If this is our last adventure, well, lets make it one to remember" Cera said with complete assertion.

Kit and Petrie both nodded, Petrie giving a small smile, "I think you got the hard job" he said to Longtail saying he'd keep Twiz and Azure out of trouble.

"and which one were you thinking would be the trouble maker?" Kit couldn't help asking.

"I'm not telling" Petrie grinned before flapping up. He heard Cera's last statement though, and had to flinch, "Why'd she have to say that, about this maybe being our last adventure" he said with a frown as he and Kit flew off.

"Oh don't worry Petrie, I still think Longtail and Cera are exaggerating" she said as she flapped on.

"Hmm...ok, Longtails' herd...now where might they have got to" she said half to herself as she flew on looking for any other flyers to start with, and then she'd see if they were any of the one's she was looking for.

"Well, I don't give a rotten treesweet if anyone wants to talk 'bout doom and gloom. I dunno 'bout y'all, but I'm stayin' positive and I feel we'll get through this together," declared Aurelia.

"I agree, yep yep yep. We must all work as a team. We must, we must," added Ducky.

"Yeah, man. Let's look for survivors while we're at it," Renn spoke up.

"Alright, you three. Let's do a search party," said Spike before the foursome headed out to look for survivors.

Longtail was surprised at how everyones demeanor had changed so suddenly...and he was glad to see that even now, the others were able to put aside their sorrow and help those they could. Longtail then stepped towards (What was left of) the Tree of Life and indeed the flyer was impressed that after all that had happened the tree itself had survived.

Pearl was still standing where she had embraced Longtail and she was proud to see her friends and family being so strong. She then wiped a tear from her eye and smiled as she thanked the Guardians for watching over those she cared about.

Ruby meanwhile had gotten separated from Zaine, but she wasn't worried, she knew it was most likely safe where she was. As she continued to walk she thought she heard a cry for help, but she couldn't figure out where it was coming from.
"Hello?" she called out hoping the sound would give her a definite walking path to follow.
