There's a tortoise on my bed and it burrowed under my blankets and now I can't find it.
What?!  :wow Is it a pet? How big is is it? What species of tortoise (if you know)? Tell us more, please! :yes

Nah, it wasn't a pet. My mom just came bangin' in my room when I was almost asleep and threw a tortoise on my bed and said "Check this out". He was pretty small. Easily palmed. It was a Gopherus Polyphemus, or, Gopher tortoise. They're all over the place. Even though their conservation status is listed as Vulnerable.

^ That is so cool! :wow What did you end up doing with it? (Seeing as it's a wild tortoise, you should probably release it close to where your mom originally found it.)

She found it in our yard. Since that's not a very safe place for a land turtle, we walked it up our driveway and put him out there.

Anyway! No more turtle talk! Back to the subject at hand!

I'm thinking abbbbbout...when I'm going to start feeling better. :[

I'm thinking about the things that have happened last week in DC, the things I saw and the experiences I had. I have to tell ya, DC is a great place for an ultimate change of yourself, how you look at things, and what not. One place I highly recommend all people that go to DC, is to go to the Holoucaust memorial Museum. Very interactive and powerful. :yes

By my standards, the weather outside right now is about as close to perfect as it's possible to be: 74 degrees Fahrenheit, sunny, and breezy...but for the most part I'm stuck inside calculating chi-square equations for a college lab report. :rolleyes

I'm still thinking I'll sneak some time outside later today, though. :p

Does survival of the fittest play a role in whether or not humans allow themselves to be killed by a human predator (home invaders, serial killers, etc.)?

I'm thinking about a lot of random things right now:

ï Why did I roll up my left sleeve? :confused (I think my arm was itchy.)

ï I have a song from the cartoon “Goofy's Glider” stuck in my head. :lol

ï That pizza in one of the photos from Iris's visit to Rome looked so good... I'm hungry for pizza now... (*salivates*)

ï Hmm...I'm thirsty, too. :p Maybe I'll grab a root beer when I'm done writing this.

ï Now my right arm itches!

ï Gaaahh! Now my right shin!

ï No one else has posted in this thread since I last did?

ï WHY...COULDN'T...I...GET...THAT...ESSAY...DONE...THIS...WEEKEND?!?! :bang :bang :bang

Huh, now this is a interesting article I just read. Apparently, sitting in a chair is unhealthy.

^ Great. Even when I'm literally just sitting there, I'm being unhealthy. <_<

I could kneel in front of my computer, I suppose, but I'll bet dollars to donuts there's an article out there someplace that says kneeling is bad for you, too. :bang

A lot of things:

*Whether my response to a certain letter made sense. :unsure

*I need to clean my desk and my room again, it's getting all cluttered again. :P:

*How I want my visit to the doc's to be like

*The play I am in.

*Wondering when a certain friend on FB is going to respond.

*How is it that I have so many friends and aquantinces when I hardly EVER hang out with them? o.O

*I still can't stand the fact I spell certain words wrong and say certain words wrong. I really don't know what that's about. <_<

*Why does there need to be suffering to know peace? Why does there need to be starvation to know about being full? Why does there need to be bad to know good?

Why is it that I so often have nightmares about myself or others drowning?  This has been going on for years now, and I suspect it's influenced by my fear and past experience with dark water <_<.
