Hi, GVG!

I got your PM; writing my response has just been going a little slow due to continuous real-life distractions.

I'll just post it here.
I have to say, I was so convinced that you had permanently left the RP that I put Spike and Grandma Longneck up on a list of unplayed characters for other RPers to pick up.

The good news is, no one did, so you're free to go back to playing them if you want.

Here's the recap you wanted, along with an overview of the upcoming plans for the Great Valley storyline:

Ozzy and Strut, who had entered the valley last night, ran into Pangaea after a series of unsuccessful nest raids (the last of which resulted in a hollowhorn announcing their presence to the entire valley). Not wanting the egg stealers to be hunted down and attacked by the valley dinosaurs (or to remain in the valley and continue to be a threat to the valleyers' eggs), Pangaea offered to take them out of the Great Valley and lead them to the Big Water, where he hopes they will be content eating the eggs of turtles and other reptiles that do not form strong parental bonds with their offspring. The egg stealers agreed, just before several other GOF members and Great Valley residents arrived at the scene. Pangaea and the other Ozzy and Strut fans in the group managed to convince the native dinosaurs present (namely Mr. Threehorn) to let the egg stealers leave the valley without any further hassle. Blindfolding Ozzy and Strut with leaves and leading them by a vine (ostensibly to make them look like they had been captured and restrained so that no other valley residents who saw them on their way out would attack them out of panic, but in reality as extra insurance that they would not try to run away if surprised, and to disorient them so that they would have trouble finding their way back into the Great Valley), the group that would accompany the egg stealers to the Big Water began making their way out of the valley, escorted by Rob and Mr. Threehorn, with Littlefoot leading them to the beginning of the route that he and his friends took in LBT IX. Hopefully LBTFan13's next post will have them arriving at their departure point, after which Pangaea, Ozzy, Strut, Guido, Sparky (FlipperBoidSkua), Nana (LBTDiclonius), Daniel (Redtooth101), and Miles (Fyn16) will proceed on their own.
Meanwhile, Red Claw (whose deteriorating sanity has led to him branding all of the valley dinosaurs who were present at the previous night's battle as "enemies" whom he must kill in order to protect his reputation as the most fearsome of sharpteeth) has assigned Screech and Thud a new task: to enter the Great Valley undetected and identify the sleeping spots of the dinosaurs on his "hit list", so that he will be able to sneak into the valley himself and kill them as they sleep. Screech and Thud have agreed, out of fear for what Red Claw might do to them if they didn't, but have privately begun to debate whether or not it is worth it for them to continue putting their lives at risk by following Red Claw's orders. (As of this point, they have not yet entered the Great Valley.)
My plan for the fast biters is that they will succeed in avoiding detection for a while once inside the valley, but as time goes by, some of the more observant characters will begin to become suspicious, finding footprints, detecting faint whiffs of fast biter scent, hearing the occasional snapped twig, rustling bush, and whispered fast biter vocalization, and perhaps catching one or two extremely brief glimpses of them. Eventually a small meeting is held, discussing the evidence of fast bitersópossibly Screech and Thudóin the valley, and asking the question of what they are doing. Rob, whom Screech and Thud have not yet seen in his fast biter form, offers to find Screech and Thud and become a double agent of sorts, posing as one of the other fast biters involved in the mass ambush from earlier who wants to help them (claiming a head injury as the reason for his less-than-perfect grasp of sharptooth language and behavior

), when of course in reality he is acquiring information on what they are up to, and providing his friends and the valley dinosaurs with a means of tracking Screech and Thud's whereabouts, ultimately leading them into a trap. Since I want to give everyone who is interested a part to play in this story arc, I'd like to leave further details up to the other players.
The Big Water subplot is probably not a relevant, being largely disconnected from the central story, but you can read
this post for further information on it.
On another note, GVG, what were you planning on doing with those other OCs you had brought into the RP before? I suppose you could bring them back if you really wanted to (and if it would still work for LBTFan13), though if you decided to do so, could you please tell me (by PM if you prefer) what you had in mind for them? I remember being completely confused last time about who your characters were and what they were doing in the Great Valley.
Sorry, that recap might not have been nearly as quick as you wanted. I hope it was helpful, at least.
