I’m not sure if anyone saw this idea I shared earlier, so I thought I’d repeat it, just in case:

Cancerian Tiger stated that she planned to have her characters battle some fast biters themselves; seeing as Thud and Screech will already be occupied, my idea to maintain continuity was this: some other (anonymous) fast biters either follow Screech, Thud, and Red Claw into the Great Valley, or are actively recruited by them to help divert the grownups’ attention. Unfortunately for the fast biters, the first characters they meet are CT, Cera, and Ducky...

Rat_lady7, CT, what are your thoughts?

I'm not going to completely dismiss this idea, but Red Claw, Screech, and Thud are usually just together and no one else.

I thought of the battle just coming in like "that" so then everyone can get back to their lives and we can try to get to know each other a bit more and more through this rp.

So I am with Panagea and Guido, and I end up getting really tired and stressed, so I just tell them I want to try to sleep soon, and I don't comment that I don't know how to fly because I feel ashamed and embarassed that I don't know how to.

Petrie's Mom and Petrie fly back to the nest and Petrie's mom (who I named Rebecca) notices that Pterano was around but she never had a chance to say "hi" to him. So she tries to find him.

Meanwhile, Mr. Three Horn is talking with Tria and Myrkin. He warns Myrkin not to come near him and his family and if he wants to find Chomper, he needs to find him himself.

Meanwhile, Red Claw first goes into the entrance of the Great Valley, smelling his way through. Screech and Thud come through the backway of the Great Valley to find the kids. Thud searches through one way and Screech searches the other.

When Red Claw roars, that's the signal for Thud and Screech to retreat and help him get out of the mess.

Me, despite being tired and weak, I am able to use some interesting moves to get Thud out of my way.

And Panagea, Chronicler, CT, and some others can fight as well to go along with what you guys planned earlier.

(One note I want to make, Emeraldstone hasn't been aviable in awhile, I actually wrote a pm later today and he hasn't responded, so I'm not sure if we should continue this without him or not.)

well I know at one point Red Claw and his lackeys are going to come into the valley as everyone wants I think its best if they stayed outside the valley and only attacked if we ventured into the mysterious beyond but what I wanted to do is have the Original Sharptooth appear in one form or another like a flashback.

Panagea sent me a pm about an idea he had and heck, I think it's good:

You join up with me and Guido. We talk for whatever length of time you had planned, and then Screech appears. I recognize him from the run-in I had with him on the Great Wall (way back in the second post I ever made in this RP ), and he likewise recognizes me. With you having told me by now that you are unable to fly, I distract Screech from going after you by provoking his temper to the point that he becomes intent on catching me instead. You are then free to encounter and outwit Thud on your own. Afterwards, Thud fights with F-22. Once F-22 is finished with Thud, I show up again, still being chased by Screech, at which point Chronicler intervenes and defeats both fast biters in whatever way he had planned. Then you can have Red Claw utter his call to retreat.

Seems just a few will be fighting sharpteeth, unless the noise attracts some others or someone raises an alarm, either of with, or both, I assume may eventually happen, but that is up to and between the involved players and the gm.

Seeing as this is my first RP, I am probably quite naÔve in many ways to the art of RPing, but from what I have seen, the amount of planning and RPer synchronization required to orchestrate a major plot device (especially one that is omnipresentói.e., affects all playersólike a natural disaster) is immensely painstaking and time-consuming, and in this case, it somewhat undermines what I perceived the intent of this RP as being: just for GOF members to visit the Land Before Time and have fun.

Of course, I can't speak for everyone (and as far as I'm concerned, everything major that happens in this RP is ultimately Rat Lady's decision), but my personal opinion is that we should have no more significant plot events for a while. Maybe when things start to get slow (I personally can see a lot of ways we can have a good time in this RP without any grand scheme), we can consider stirring up the plot pot again,

but for now, I think we should at least wait until after Red Claw's invasion before we consider any additional developments. If there's one thing I've learned since joining this RP, it's not to plan ahead too far, as things seldom go the way you expect them to.
