First of all, my apologies for not posting here for this week. I'm getting back to my schedule of being on the forums at least twice a week or less, just a self made thing I am doing for myself, but anyway, I believe I can answer your questions and comments.

Also, Red Claw isn't exactly a sane character in this rp due to his obsession with revenge, so he might not be "there" with these characters. I plan to have him turn against some of these characters eventually while on his journey to madness.

That's definitely an idea, and as far as other characters leaving the valley towards big water, I had this idea about how some of these characters could get to "Big Water". One of the characters, Claw, is poisoned with some vegetation that Rinkus and Sierra lodged in his throat, and I was thinking maybe, JUST maybe the character comes to find out that the cure for it is not in the Great Valley, but near the ocean. Some characters want to go along with him. (Including me, since I would be missing the ocean quite a bit.) Then they meet Mo, the liopleurdon, and other characters that live in the ocean.

That's if Myrkin would take to that idea, Claw IS HIS character anyway.

So what about Chronicler? Are he and Ruby still helping Claw? (I know they've gone back to the valley at this point.) Ruby had mentioned that the cure was in the Mysterious Beyond, should Claw maybe just get it while he's still there?

Just two cents from me: I personally don't think we need a dire situation to get a group of characters to travel to the Big Water. Some characters might want to leave the valley, or just go to see the Big Water as long as they're in the LBT world. This would make it more “optional” for players to send their characters there, anyway; no need to send a huge posse or escort along with them. Not that I'm trying to discourage anyone from sending their characters along, but I don't think we have much reason for ALL of them to come.

To be honest, I'd really like it for my characters to do some more interacting with other players' characters, and I think it would be a lot easier with a smaller group of characters (especially when they share a common objective). I hope this doesn't sound selfish or anything, but I'd rather not have the entire cast of the RP go off again on a dramatic mission, at least in this instance.

I agree with Pangaea on this one. I think we are all still getting over the fight scene that we don't need another large incident or event to occur that would require everybody to go and partake in. That's mostly the reason why I agree with Amy's decision to scale the idea I had for my character to be isolated under the grown ups eyes down. I think maybe later on when everybody has gotten back into the casual form of the RP, we could implement something on a larger scale plot wise, but for the time being I say we take it slower.

Pangaea, if you would like I would be more than happy to have my characters interact with yours. I think they could come up with some interesting dialogue together, and I haven't really gotten the chance to interact with you in the RP yet.

No, it's not selfish and I don't mean it like THIS instance, I'm just giving that idea up as an option.

Again, it was just an idea, I'm not saying that's what we should do.

I'd be willing to contribute to this idea. Maybe I could end up at the Big Water or something since I have not made my first post on the RP yet, so for me, anything's possible. And I don't believe that Rat lady said ALL the characters were going, just a group of them, but not all. So, once again, I'll contribute to this, and maybe end up near the big water, meet some other characters of the RP, then journey back to the great valley with them, or something like that... <_<

I never said you did. I was just bringing it up for…I guess you could say preventative reasons.

To tell you the truth, back when you first shared your idea that my character would be captured by Red Claw and need rescuing, I didn't expect that everyone in the RP would get involved. Not that I'm complaining, but I found that, despite my character temporarily becoming a major plot point, I was able to do a lot less interacting with other players than I'd expected. I think a big part of the reason is because virtually the entire cast was together in one place, with everyone interacting with one another. I guess it’s really my fault, but I’m just lousy at approaching other players to interact with them, so in a smaller group, there’s better chances that someone else will prompt me. I figured it was better to mention this before a lot of people volunteered to send their characters to the Big Water just so the group isn’t too small, to let them know that that might not be necessary. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

If we end up going on the trip to the Big Water, though (provided the group is small as I am hoping), it should be okay for you to focus your characters on the subplot involving your dinosona.

Sorry if I'm pestering you guy's, I just like being in the discussion and contributing to this RP. Yeah, a small group sounds reasonable, and a lot more things could happen because you wouldn't have to wait for too may people to post what happens. So, I like it, and once again am willing to contribute my character. Any problems with me maybe ending up near the big water, get stuck in the battle with the magical liopluerodon, interact with the characters, and journey back to the great valley with you guy's? How does that sound?

I like that idea!! The magical liopleurodon battle sounds epic!!! And a group traveling to Big Water together gives my dinosona a chance to meet the giant swimming sharptooth too!! I'll be bringing lotsa confusion for the big guy with my talk of how he'll guide us to candy mountain!!

Pangaea, were you planning on having your characters go to the Big Water? I hadn't decided yet on whether or not I was going to have my characters go on the trip, but if you are and would like to interact with my characters then I could certainly follow through with that.

I don't see any further problems with this, just stick to the rules, treat other players with respect and have fun.

Yes, I was. However, you don't need to worry about sending your own characters along just to give mine someone to interact with; from the looks of the post by FlipperBoidSkua that I quoted above, that won't be a problem.

That's certainly not to say that I wouldn't like to interact with your characters given the opportunity (and believe me when I tell you I am very grateful for your offer

), but don't let me be a factor in influencing your decision of what to do with your characters. Just come if you want to.

Any rpers of all types are welcome in this rp. I'm a newb when it comes to rping myself, with two years of practice. So don't worry about feeling awkward about posting.

Another note, not that I AM against interacting with anyone's characters, I'm quite the opposite, I just wanted to keep a plot up and running without it getting run down or boring for anyone, but if most people just want the interaction for now, that's all fine and good. Maybe I'm expecting too much too fast.

Just click the “Quote” button on the upper right-hand corner of whatever post you want to quote; you'll get a screen with two boxes: one containing the text of the post (which allows you the option of deleting all but the specific part of the post you want to quote), and one above it in which you can type your message.

Alternatively, you can just copy the text you want to quote and frame it with the [QUOTE ] [ /QUOTE] tags. (Make sure the one with the slash comes last, and don't actually use spaces when writing the tags.)
