The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

"Goodnight Littlefoot." Grandpa Longneck said softly as he gently nuzzled Littlefoot and settled down to go to sleep.

The next morning, Little Foot awoke from a very disturbing and freaky sleep-story. His own mind couldn't even comprehend the dream.

So he shook, thinking over the details of the dream. He figured he would later ask his grandparents about it. They always told him to speak whatever was on his mind, if he ever needed help. So that what he wanted to do.

He streretched and and yawned. He saw his grandparents who were still sleeping, so he decided not to disturb them and just watch the bright circle rise a little higher, so it could be completely day.

That was some STRANGE dream...maybe I can get some help with it...

Meanwhile, Anna was busy having yet again another nightmare.

"Get away from them, ya b******!" Anna growled in her sleep as she swatted at the air.

"Psst!  Anna!" whispered a voice.

"Man, turn the lights on already!  No, don't go in there!  He's got a gun!" Anna yelled out.

"Anna," the voice called softly.

"Ya stupid idiot.  I told ya to not go in there, and now you're dead," Anna whispered.

"Anna, are you okay?" the voice called again.  Just then, Anna felt her abdomen get jumped on by someone very small.

"GAHHHH!" Anna screamed in alarm as she jumped out of her sleep.  CRACK!  Anna gently rubbed the back of her head as she glanced at the tree and cursed at it.

"Anna," she heard Ducky call as she saw Ducky approach her cautiously.  "Are you okay?"  Anna had to think for a minute in order to remember what had just happened.

"I'm sorry, Ducky.  Ya scared me out of my sleep, but I'm okay," Anna replied.

"Were you having scary sleep stories?  It sounded like you were, yep yep yep," Ducky said.

"Yeah, I was.  Anyhoo, whatcha doin' here so early?  Does your mother know you're here?" Anna asked.

"Oh, yes she does.  I ate early, yep yep yep.  I told Mama I was coming to see you, and she said it was okay.  She did, she did," Ducky answered.

"Well, now that I'm up, wanna go for a swim?" Anna asked.

"Are you going to eat breakfast first?" Ducky asked.

"Nah, I'm not a breakfast eater.  Well?  Are ya comin' or not?" Anna replied as she waded into the water.

"Oh, yes yes yes!  We do not have to go into the deep part if you do not want, no no no," Ducky said.

"Well, 'cuz it's daylight, I should be okay.  Let's go check it out," Anna said as the two ventured deeper into the water.

Meanwhile Belmont awoke from his sleep, he got up and walked out of the cave, staring in awe at the lush, green Valley around him " this is how I like to start my day" Belmont thought then he walked out into the valley and headed for the Thundering Falls because there was something he wanted to do there...

Cera was the first in her family to wake up that morning.  She glanced at her father, then Tria, and then Tricia.  Cera smiled to herself as she rested her head back down but did not go back to sleep.  The newcomers were on her mind, and all she could think about was how the day was going to turn out.

Mim awoke and went to the nearby water to get some water and wash her face as well, which she found would help her awaken more, and also felt nice, as long as it was warm enough to enjoy it and not to cold.

Petrie still slept in his family's nest, though a bit apart from the others as he often did.

Tria woke up next. She was still tired, and feeling a bit sore. Stretching the toes on her back left foot, she got up, eyes still half closed. Turning around, she saw her stepdaughter was awake too...

"Hello Cera? Did you have a nice night?" She queried, while lying back down on her pale white belly.

Rebecca woke up first in her family, so she slowly and carefully rose up, careful not to wake her children. She then took off to find food for her children.

Oh the kids will love these! She flew down to a bunch of berry bushes and took as much as she could carry in a leaf for them. She also saw a bunch of other dinosaurs snoozing away and she was careful not to distrub them.

She flew back to find her children still asleep and placed the food in a pile beside them.

She decided to wait for them to wake up, so she rested for a bit, thinking over what happened last night and what was going to happen today.

We ought to have a meeting about it...our valley is supposed to be sharptooth proof. Not able for them to get in. I wonder if the new comers came in a way and loosened a few rocks...

She knew if this was the case, they didn't mean it, but they would have to be told this later, so it wouldn't happen again.
------------------
Amy had a hard time sleeping, she kept waking up and then going back to sleep again. Her dreams were strange and uncomfortable. The valley persecuted her and exhiled her and killed Pterano to make her suffer more. So she awoke with tears in her eyes. So slowly got herself up and crawled to the water, she made soft crying sounds, trying not to wake anyone else. She splashed water in her face, and she cried even harder. So she rose herself up to go to the other side of the thundering falls so she could cry all she wanted to without disturbing anyone else.

That's probably what they are going to do...minus killing Pterano...unless Mr. Three Horn does something... Then she froze in her tracks thinking about him. She was filled with rage and anger against him. He had to be put in his place. And she wanted to do it, even if it killed her.

In her extreme emotions, she also realized that she didn't have her medicine with her, and she was NOT in anyway going to take any chances using strange plants as a substitute for her depression.

"Hi, Tria," Cera yawned.  "Yeah, I slept pretty well.  How about yourself?"

Meanwhile, Tricia woke up.  She let out a cute baby yawn as she stretched out.

Mr. Three Horn groaned as he woke up, feeling sore in his back and he stretched. Or at least tried to.

Gah...I'm getting old...it won't be long before I'm like Longneck... He cringed at the thought of being like the elderly longneck.

"Morning girls, how did you all sleep?" He asked his mate and daughters.

Tricia giggled as she ran over to her father and nuzzled his snout with her own tiny snout.

"Good," Cera answered as she stretched out.

Opening his eyes dozily, Pangaea gradually awakened from what had been a surprisingly restful slumber of only half a night. For a split second he was startled to see trees and vegetation in front of him, and to realize that he was sleeping inside a pile of leaves. Then, in an instant, it all came back to him. Oh, right, he thought, feeling foolish, I’m in The Land Before Time.

Pangaea had been sleeping in his usual position inside the leaf pile, lying on his belly and resting his head on its side. Now that he was awake, he tucked his limbs beneath him and used his hands to push himself to his feet, breaching the roof of his leafy bed as he did so. He then stepped forward out of the leaf pile, brushing off whatever leaves clung to his feathers.

He then proceeded to stretch his sleep-cramped jointsóarms, legs, back, and tail. It was only at the last moment that Pangaea realized how interesting it was to have this last, additional appendage to stretch upon waking; though it protruded from his body in the manner of an arm or leg, the multiple vertebral joints it contained made stretching it feel more like he was flexing an extension of his backbone (which, he reminded himself, was what a tail basically was).

It was strangeóa little frightening, evenóhow quickly he was becoming accustomed to this; being away from his family, living in an alien (though familiar) land where the only humans were fellow LBT fans who had been similarly transported there, andóweirdest of allóthe fact that he was now a feathered dinosaur (though he was enjoying this particular experience immensely).

Pronounced "pan-JEE-uh". Spelled with three A's. Represented by a Lystrosaurus.

Grandpa Longneck opened his eyes.  He slowly raised his head and looked around when he noticed Littlefoot was a short distance away so he slowly started to get up, being careful to not awaken his mate, as well as being normally slower to get up then when he was younger.

---

Flapper awoke from where he was and stretched while laying on the ground before he got up.  He then went in search of some water or leaves, not yet fully awake.  He walked over near a tree and sat down a bit to lean against it for a bit before continuing.

"Oh, my night was okay, Topsy... I'm a little sore, it's not too bad..." As she got up, her back acted up too. "Oww! Well... more than a little sore." Tria told her mate. She was quite a bit younger than he was, but the stress the past days and of taking care of the kids gave her a lot of tension... and with tension came knots in her back muscles... not nice for her body. Tria knew about this well... females were, by nature, the primary caregivers of children, and this meant that they had to form very strong emotional bonds with them... which accounted for all the worries about Cera and Tricia... and the subsequent stress... oh well.

"Are you okay, Anna?" Ducky asked as the two finally reached the deep water.

"Yeah.  I'm fine, thanks," Anna replied with a smile.  She may have been older than Ducky, but to see how maternal Ducky was for her age was touching.  She put others' needs before her own and was very selfless, which was admirable.

"There is very yummy green food at the bottom of this water, yes there is.  Would you like to swim down with me and get some of the green food?" Ducky asked.

"Sure, why not?" Anna replied.  With that, she took a deep breath, and dove beneath the surface.  Ducky followed her as close as she safely could, considering Anna was the size of an adolescent swimmer.  Ducky had noticed Anna was short for the species by a couple of feet, and the thought bothered her.  However, she decided to put those thoughts away for the moment as the two swam down roughly twenty feet to the bottom.  Ducky then noticed Anna was near the water-dwelling plants.  She swam over to the plants that were in front of Anna, pointed at the plants, pointed at Anna, and then pointed at the plants again.  Anna nodded, and began to pull at the plants.  Ducky worked on smaller plants.  Once the two had their hands full, they swam back up to the surface.  When Anna surfaced, she realized she had held her breath much longer than she would've been able to as a human.  Perhaps her lung capacity was even stronger in her swimmer form.  She also noticed her ears did not hurt from the pressure change.

Interesting, Anna thought to herself as she and Ducky swam for the shore.  Once they reached Anna's sleeping space and sat down, Ducky looked up at Anna as she took a bite of the green food.  Anna then took a bite of the green food.

"That is good," Anna said as she took another bite.

"I am glad to hear it, yep yep yep.  Anna, may I ask you a question?" Ducky asked.

"Anything," Anna replied after she swallowed her bite of green food.

"Are you really a grown-up?" Ducky asked.

"Of course I am, Ducky.  By human standards, I am an adult," Anna chuckled.  "Why?  Is it 'cuz I'm a kid at heart or somethin' like that?"

"Well, I am sorry if I make you mad, but are you not small for a grown-up?" Ducky asked, almost embarrassed to ask.

"Oh, I see why ya think I'm not a grown-up.  I'm just small for my race, or species if ya will.  I guess it reflects in my dinosaur form, too," Anna said.  "Am I right?"  Ducky quietly nodded.

"See, humans come in all different shapes and sizes.  We have what are known as different statures and builds, and it is said that the reason for this is based on where our ancestors lived.  This also reflects what kind of things we're built for.  Running, swimming, farming...ya get the idea," Anna explained.  She could see the little swimmer was trying to comprehend what Anna was telling her.

"So, what are you built for?" Ducky asked.

"Well, my ancestors came from a mountainous area, meaning they were mountain dwellers.  This bein' the case, I'm built for climbing more than anything else," Anna said.  "See, I'm short, I have short arms and legs, my bones are on the smaller side, I'm strong for my size, and I don't feel any changes in the air when I climb.  Air thins out higher up, makin' it harder to breathe, but I don't notice anything different.  I'm also a fast climber."

"That is neat!  It is, it is.  Maybe you can tell me what the other newcomers are built for," Ducky suggested.

"Sure, but let's finish eating first," Anna giggled before she returned to her snack.

"Oh, I am sorry!  I guess my big mouth got the best of me again," Ducky giggled before she continued to eat her snack.

Chronicler slowly woke up. As usual, he didn't get up or even open his eyes. This allowed him some time to think. Noticing the hard rocky ground he laid on, he was quickly reminded that he was still in the Land Before Time universe. He then remembered the events that had happened yesterday, especially last night. Although his attempt at stopping the Fast-Biters was successful, it was now obvious that it wasn't a really smart thing to do.

Ruby woke up and could tell Chronicler was awake by now, even though his eyes were still closed. "Good morning, Chronicler," she said.

Chronicler slowly raised his head and opened his eyes. "What time is it?" he mumbled.

Ruby stood up. "It's time to wake up, time to wake up it is."

"No, I mean... ah never mind."

"What? Were you expecting me to give you a different answer from the answer I gave you?"

Chronicler stood up. "Actually... yes. I'm just used to waking up at a very specific time. Call me obsessed with perfection, but I often try to wake up precisely at a certain minute in the morning."

"How do you know exactly when to wake up?"

"I'll explain that concept later. Right now, I could use some breakfast. What would you recommend?"

"I think you might like some sweet bubbles from a bush I found two days ago. They're really good. Let me show you where they are so you know where to find them."

"That's a good idea." Ruby and Chronicler then walked out of the cave.

"I have a right to collect anything I want. It's just junk anyway."

Little Foot say his Grandpa and gloomily looked over to him.

"Morning Grandpa." He said in a soft, melancholy tone.

He sighed and looked to where the bright circle was setting.
--------------------
After she cried as long as she needed to, Amy got out of the Thundering Falls and walked away to find food. Then she saw something jump out of the water. It was a fish! Normally at home, she didn't like fish very much, unless it was smoked salmon or something like that. But looking at the fish now, she licked her "lips" and lowered herself to the ground to see if she could get the fish. Trying to remember how a cat would hunt, she lunged at the fish when it jumped, but she only fell face first in the water, making a loud splash. It awoke a few Great Valley members near by the thundering falls and they groaned as they saw what was going on.

Embarrassed, Amy turned around and saw the grim faces starring at her. She smiled and backed away. She softly mumbled, "Sorry." And jumped out of the water to jog away else where to find food.
--------------
"Well good morning Tricia!" Mr. Three Horn replied to his daughter in a sweet voice. He nuzzled his daughter and playfully nudged her, which made Tricia fall on her back with a little "oof!". Mr. Three Horn then replied, "Awww someone went down and go boom!" So he helped his daughter get up and then he turned to Tria.

"I'm sore too, maybe you can go in that nice mud hole thing you like to go in. I think I just need to do some strecthes and I'll be okay."

Then he turned to his daughters and said, "Alright kids, let's go eat!"

As Belmont approched the Thundering Falls, he saw that some of the residents were sleeping in apprantly since they were awake but now they're falling asleep again, Belmont walked quietly, trying not to wake them , when he got to the calm waters of the Thundering Falls he morphed into brachiosaur form and drank since he was thirsty when he woke up.

Near the meadows where the migrating apatosaurus herd stayed, Ali awoke and she looked at the peaceful valley around her, Ali smiled, knowing today was going to be good.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not far from the Valley Enterance where Bron's herd slept, Shorty awoke and then Bron they were amazed at the lush vagatation in the valley just as the GOF members were.
