The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

"Okay, Daddy," Cera said with a giggle.  If there was anybody who could break through the gruff front she was accustomed to putting up, it was Tricia.

"C'mon, silly," Cera said with a smile as she joined her sister in following their father.

Grandpa Longneck smiled to Littlefoto, "Good morning, and how are you on this fine looking morning?" He asked his grandson, speaking quietly.

He finished quietly getting up and walked over loser to where Littlefoot was.

---

Flapper get back up and got some leaves to eat from a bush as he headed towards where he could hear some water running.

---

Mim sat down to eat a breakfast from some bits of an underwater plant she had torn some parts of leaves from when she had gotten some water for herself.

--

Petrie continued to sleep till he started to awaken around the same time as some of is siblings started to awaken.

"Yes, some food sounds good... and maybe the mud pools later" Tria replied to her mate. "So, Topsy, what is on your agenda for today?" she asked, hoping that it would not involve singling out some other species of dinosaur to blame for all their problems... <_<

Mr. Three Horn's mood suddenly changed from being a bit playful to stern. His smile disappeared when he looked at Tria.

"I think I might be speaking with the Longneck about what happened last night. I find it strange that suddenly sharpteeth were able to get in. It's very rare for something like that to happen to our valley...." He seemed to trail off as if thinking some thoughts unknown to his mate.

"Besides, when these things happen we have meetings as full herd about them."
-----------------
Red Claw shifted and snorted, having strange dreams about himself becoming something so ugly, so terrible, and so able for destruction that his own dinosaur mind could not comprehend it. He saw fire, people screaming, and then he saw that flyer...her....that took his vision away. And then the flyer turned into an ugly creature with long dark strands coming from her head. She grew suddenly, much bigger then him and took over him. He screamed, which made him scream in his real life as well.

He woke up and realized that he would see only black no matter what he did. Everytime he walked, everytime he would do anything in the awakening, he would see only black. Everywhere he turned. Black. Every time he drank. Black. However, he remembered color, he remembered what it was like to see.
-----------------
Little Foot simply shrugged and said, "Okay I guess...I'm just hungry right now."

Grandpa Longneck nodded, "That is ok, plenty of time to eat later when you are." He said to Littlefoot in a quiet warm voice an sat down.  "For now we can just sit and relax."

Claw was sleeping and he had a nice dream about flying, but everything has to end as they say. The ending of his sleep had been caused by one purple sharptooth...

"Wake up, Claw. Wake up! It is morning already and Bright Circle is shining." Chompre said shaking fast-biter. The latter groaned and opened his eyes.

"Uhh... I am awake, I am awake. See? I am getting up." Claw said, standing up. Then he begun stretching his limbs to get rid off sleepines he still felt. After he finished, he glanced at Chomper and asked:

"You said it is morning already, but what exactly the tim..." he started, but then he remembered that in this world nobody had a watch, so he asked instead: "How high the Bright Circle is?"

"Oh... It is just a bit higher than a Great Wall, but the day only just started. We have a lot time to gett some food, before meeting with others." Chomper answered, walking out of the cave with Claw following him.

"Food? What kind of food you mean?" Claw inquired "It would be more buzzers?" Chomper shook his head.

"No. I thought that we could catch some fish." They were now outside of their home and they were walking towards the centre of the Valley or at least Claw had thought it was that where they were going to.

"Fish? I don't think I am expert in fishing, Chomper. Honestly, I've never done this before, so it might be quite difficult for me to catch anything..." fastbiter said, but the other sharptooth dismissed his doubts about this plan.

"It is not hard to learn, Claw. I can teach you how to do it and I am sure that with a little practice you will do fine" he said enthusiasticly, but then he tilted his head and looked at Claw with curiosity "You've really never try fishing before?" It was obvious that he was surprised that any adult fastbiter would not know how to catch fish, since outside of the Valley you had to be able to use any source of food, especially if you didn't have a pack of other sharpteeth to hunt with.

"Well... Yes. There are not so many rivers or streams in Mysterious Beyond, so I didn't have much occasion to practice that kind of hunting." Claw answered. Chomper nodded, acknowledging Claw's answer, but he didn't look very convinced.

Then they saw Chronicler and Ruby, standing beside some bush.

"Hi, Ruby! Hi Chronicler!" Chomper shouted, waving to them and coming closer. Claw did the same "How are you doing?" little sharptooth asked.

Once Anna finished her snack, she stood up and stretched out.

"Ducky, if ya don't mind, I'd like to walk around and see more of the valley," Anna said.

"That is okay, yep yep yep.  Maybe we can find the others along the way.  That is, if I am allowed to come with you," Ducky replied.

"I don't see why not," Anna chuckled.

"Oh, thank you very much.  I will behave, yes I will," Ducky chirped as she got up and then grabbed onto Anna's tail.  Anna lifted her tail so she could scoop Ducky up with her hands, and then she placed Ducky on her shoulder.

"You're quite the little extrovert," Anna giggled.

"Quite the little what?" Ducky asked.

"In other words, you're very social and talkative, but that's alright.  It balances out my more quiet nature.  In fact, I become more social when I'm around those I know who are social, and in turn I make for a great listener.  Both sides benefit," Anna said as she walked on.

"I am not being a pain in the tail, am I?" Ducky asked.

"Never!  You're always a pleasure to have around, Ducky.  You're a sweet kid," Anna replied.  Ducky giggled in response as they traveled around the valley.

Belmont had left the Thundering falls and instead headed to Littlefoot's home, he wondered about last night, it wasn't common for Red Claw and his lackeys to get inside the valley let alone a random raptor as well.

As per their daily arrangement Longtail had gotten up as the bright circle had started to rise and was now flying around the valley simply keeping an eye out for any trouble, but he was still tired from the previous nights events. As such he began to fall asleep on the wing and began to free fall out of the sky.

Grandma Longneck yawned aloud and opened her eyes to see Littlefoot and Grandpa Longneck already awake. She grinned as she stood up and spoke, "Good morning you two. Watching the bright circle rise again?"

Spike never to be one far from Ducky simply walked along side Anna silently when he suddenly looked up and mumbled something along the lines 'what is that up there?' pointing his nose into the sky.

Rick yawned and stretched his legs and yawned as he squinted in the bright sunlight. He gazed around for a moment and smiled brightly as he turned his head now realizing he was hungry, reaching for the nearest tree grabbing several treestars.

Grandpa longneck smiled and turned at the sound of Grandma Longneck's voice.  "Good morning dear." he said and went over to where she was nuzzling her once he got near.  "You want to come and watch it with us?" He asked.

---

Flapper finished eating his leaves as he got to the water he heard and started to get himself a drink.

--

Mim finished and got up to stretch a bit, wondering what she would do next.

--

Petrie started to yawn as he started to wake up.  He rubbed his eyes a bit as he sat up and yawned again.  "Morning already?" He asked.

Tria thought about this "Much as I would love a dip in the mud pools, I should talk with Mr. Longneck as well. I don't want this getting out of hand..." she replied. The threehorn was sick of being left out of these sort of meetings... and she was also tired of learning about a problem in the valley when it got out of hand. Her mate had encouraged her to stick with "the female sphere", that of children and family. While Tria was certainly happy to spend time with Cera and Tricia, she also had to keep them safe... and part of doing that meant knowing about the dangers that faced the valley. Topsy had kept Tria and the kids safe so far, but he couldn't be everywhere at once... Tria would have to take matters into her own hands if her mate couldn't be there.

Ruby and Chronicler continued to talk as they went to get breakfast.

"So tell me, did everything that happened last night really happen? Even how I knocked out those Fast-Biters?" asked Chronicler.

"Yes, all of it really did happen, really happen it did," replied Ruby, who sounded quite proud of such a fact.

"In that case, I only have one word to say." Chronicler then slapped himself on the forehead and shouted, "Idiot!"

"What was that for?" asked Ruby, now a little confused.

"I wasn't thinking straight last night. If that fight was happening right now, I would have stayed on the sidelines and let the real fighters deal with it. Besides, I knew that stick wouldn't last long. If I get caught in another Fast-Biter attack, I'll need something much tougher." Chronicler then got an idea. I wonder if bamboo grows in the Great Valley, he thought to himself.

Ruby then told Chronicler that they were now at the sweet bubble bush. Like always for everything, Chronicler was slightly hesitant at first, but Ruby insisted that they were really good. He then tried one. "Not bad," he said.

They then saw Chomper and Claw arrive. When Chomper asked how they were, Chronicler shrugged and simply said, "Eh, fine. What are you guys up to today?"

Rebecca smiled as she saw her son wake up and a few of her children waking up.

She nudged the food toward them and said, "I think you'll like these berries."

Being a pterosaur, she preferred fish herself, she prefered fish and seafood. She figured that she would introduce her children to fish someday once they were out of their sweet tooth stage.

"Kids, I have a surprise for you. Someone came to visit the valley, and it's not anyone you don't know."

She hoped she could excite the kids, especially Petrie, who she knew that he loved his uncle very much.
---------------
Mr. Three Horn turned to his children and said, "Narrow leaves, perfect for a growing three horn." He tore some greens apart and gave them to his daughters. Then he chewed on some himself thinking about what to do for that day.
--------------
Red Claw was up and ready to go. So he sniffed around looking for the three horn remains. He swallowed some parts, but he unfortunately could not contain his hunger, so almost all that was left was bones with bits of meat on them. Of course he wasn't aware of this, he was just content to have his breakfast and not starve to death.
------------
Little Foot saw his grandmother wake up and said, "Morning Gramdma."
------------
Amy limped away to see if there were other places she could find food. She went to a watering hole and looked to see if there was food at all. She saw some mussels on the sides of the pools and then she caught the sight of a small reptile leaping next to her. She jumped a bit from the sudden movement and then looked down at the creature. It was frozen, as if waiting for the bigger creature to do something.

"Hey little guy." She said softly to the reptile. The reptile just blinked.

Now that Pangaea was awake, he became aware of how hungry he was. The only things he’d eaten since arriving in the Land Before Time universe had been those tree sweets from the previous evening. Fortunately for him, it seemed that his Microraptor body required less food than his human one. Still, he was famished, and moreover, very thirsty.

He looked over at Guido, who had not moved from his sleeping spot on the side of Pangaea’s leaf-pile bed. Clearly he had not sleepwalked during the night, and the anchoring vine around his foot had been unnecessary (though it was good to have taken the precaution anyway).

“Hey, Guido,” he said, “Wake up!”

The glider didn’t stir. Apparently he was a pretty heavy sleeper. He’d have to be, Pangaea thought, remembering how it had taken a crash landing into a Spinosaurus’s back to wake him from his sleep-flight in LBT XII.

Walking up to the teal glider, Pangaea lightly rapped on Guido’s snout with his knuckles. “Guido!” he shouted, “It’s morning!”

Still Guido didn’t wake. Pangaea shrugged and turned to leave, hoping that he could find some food and return before Guido woke up.

Suddenly, Pangaea felt his foot catch on something. “AWK!” he screeched as he toppled forward. Pangaea tended to stumble so often that he instinctively caught himself most of the time, but this was not one of those times. A moment later he was sprawled on his front on the ground. Had he been in his human form, it probably would have been a faceplant, but as it was, his flexible dinosaurian neck meant that his head had been thrown far back as he fell, and as it swung forward, his chin had hit the ground instead of his snout.

“Ow,” he grunted, more out of absentminded force of habit than actual pain. Twisting his neck around, he discovered the reason for his fall: he had tripped over the vine tying Guido’s ankle to the nearby tree. In the process, however, he had dragged the smaller glider from his sleeping position, inadvertently waking him up.

“Ugh,” Guido groaned tiredly as he sat up, “what happened?”

“Uh, I tripped on your sleepwalking lifeline,” Pangaea explained as he dazedly rose to his feet, “I’m okay though. Actually, I succeeded in waking you up, so it’s all good.”

Brushing himself off, Pangaea turned to Guido. “I was just going to get some breakfast,” he said, “You can go back to sleep if you’re too tired to join me.”

Guido seemed to instantly snap wide awake. “What?!” he squawked, “And let you go off all by yourself? Never!”

Pangaea grinned. “Not gonna get rid of you that easy, huh?”

“No, sir!” Guido confirmed. Then he paused, and in that moment seemed to return to his usual shyer, more sheepish demeanor. “Well...if–if–if that’s okay with you, that is.” He chuckled nervously.

“Ah, don’t worry about it,” Pangaea said, smiling. “I enjoy the company. Though if I decide I need some time alone, you’ll understand, right?”

“Sure,” Guido nodded.

“All right then,” Pangaea said, “How ëbout you take me to the Thundering Falls? I’m dyin’ of thirst.”

“No problem,” Guido replied, “Right this way.”

Grandma Longneck nodded her head at her grandson and mate. She returned Grandpa longnecks nuzzle and replied, "Yes watching the bright circle rise sounds wonderful. And good morning to you as well Littlefoot. How are you feeling this morning?"

~~~
Rick gathered another mouthful of treestars and began chewing when he felt something collide with his head forcing him to spit out some of his green food. He looked around for a moment and then checked the ground just in case and was glad he did when he noticed Longtail on the ground apparently asleep. Rick just laughed quietly as he nudged the flyer with his nose.
Longtail however continued to sleep silently even as Rick tried to wake him.
~~~

Spike continued to walk alongside Ducky and Anna eating green food and leaves as he went.

"We are going to have a breakfast." Chomper said with a smile "We want to catch some fish, but first Claw needs some learning in that... Do you want to join us?" he asked.

"Oh, please do. I am sure that my unsuccesful attemts will be quite an entertainment for you." Claw said jocularly, hoping concurrently that Chomper will prove himself as a very good teacher. Fastbiter didn't want to spend whole day on trying to catch fish. He was hungry and feeding on insects might not be enough to satisfy that need...

"No thank you," said Chronicler. "I'm not interested."

Ruby was unsure about this decision. "Are you sure about that, Chronicler? Maybe you could help him if he needs help."

"In case if you haven't noticed, Claw and I aren't exactly the best of friends. I think it's best that I do him a favor and save him some humiliation." Chronicler thought for a second and got an idea. "Speaking of favors, Claw, do you think you can do one for me?"

"Well... Maybe I could." Claw said, wondering what the white fastrunner might want from him "Tell me what it is and then I will tell you if I do it."
