The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Meanwhile, Anna was busy looking around some woods not too far from the Rock Circle for things she could use as a bandage for her injury.  Anna felt terrible for having to leave her friends behind but knew she had to control her bleeding.  She continued to cry and tremor as she kept looking around.  Just then, she heard somebody call out from behind her.  She quickly turned around and saw a dinosaur was trying to catch up to her.  She did not know what the dinosaur wanted, but she decided to wait for him or her to catch up so she could find out what the dinosaur wanted.

At the same time, Ducky, Cera, and Tricia were still at the Rock Circle.

"We should go after her and see if she is okay, yep yep yep," Ducky said in a concerned manner.  Cera thought for a moment, and then nodded.

"Yeah, we should.  Let's get going then," Cera replied as she motioned for Tricia to come with them.  The trio quickly vanished from the Rock Circle without anybody noticing them as they followed after Anna and Mim.

A moment ago, Pangaea had been beyond nervous and experiencing full-fledged panic. It had seemed as if the whole valley had suddenly gone insane. First, Mr. Threehorn had gotten more upset than Pangaea had ever seen him, knocking down Sam and throwing an emotional fit. Then Anna had stepped in, looking and acting more outraged than Pangaea thought possible, and engaging in a struggle with Mr. Threehorn. Finally, just as Tria had attempted to break up the fight, some crazy GOF member, arriving late to the meeting, had shown up and hit Mr. Threehorn with a spear. Perhaps he had assumed that Mr. Threehorn had finally snapped and was attempting to save Sam and Anna, Pangaea supposed, but he couldn’t imagine that this was going to help the GOF members’ reputation in the Great Valley (especially in the eyes of Mr. Threehorn). All in all, it seemed that those in the valley were becoming a greater danger to each other than sharpteeth had ever been.

Then Amy had stepped up, and delivered the most inspiring impromptu speech Pangaea had ever heard. To heck with kicking her out, he thought with awe, she ought to be a Great Valley diplomat or something. Pangaea felt considerably calmer after Amy had spoken. A voice of reason had been sorely needed, and it had come from the very individual who had been accused as an enemy of the valley.

He looked at Mr. Threehorn, in the process of leaving the Rock Circle, looking hurt (both emotionally and physically) and dejected as he stood poised to leave the Rock Circle, and felt a pang of pity. Mr. Threehorn could be a major jerk, for sure, and his suggestion to exile Amy was utterly ridiculous, but Pangaea believed he truly meant well for the valley and his family. He just wasn’t very good at making the right choices, and approached problems too narrow-mindedly.

“I think I’m going to go talk to Mr. Threehorn,” he said to Guido, who had remained silent and inconspicuous throughout the entire meeting.

“What?!” Guido exclaimed, who had clearly been terrified by Mr. Threehorn’s earlier outburst, “Why would you want to even go near that guy?!”

“Well, for one thing, he’s got a spearhe–uh...a pointy rock stuck in his leg. I don’t know much about treating injuries, but that’ll have to come out. Also, I thought that maybe I could talk some sense into him. Or at least calm him down. He’s pretty upset right now.”

Guido scoffed nervously. “You think?”

“Guido,” Pangaea said, “I don’t blame you in the slightest if you don’t want to come with me. I’m pretty scared myself about going up to him, but I don’t know if anyone else here is going to do it. ...Well, besides Tria, and Cera, and Tricia, but they’re his family. I think he needs an outside voice. Y’know, someone else who can tell him he’s not a bad guy. Maybe if he has some help, he can clean up his act and redeem himself. In any case, don’t worry about me. I’ll meet up with you later.”

Guido nodded. “Okay,” he said, “Thanks, Pangaea.”

“The same to you,” Pangaea replied with a smile. He then parted ways with Guido and cautiously approached Mr. Threehorn.

"Hey, there.  Who are ya?"  Anna asked.  She had returned to sounding like her normal self.  Just then, she saw Cera, who was carrying Ducky, and Tricia quickly rush up to her from the same way Mim had come.

"Hey," was all Anna could muster.  She was still very embarrassed at how the meeting had gone.

"Hey, Anna.  Looks like you're injured," Cera panted.

"Yeah, and I need to find somethin' I can wrap around this gash.  Any ideas?" Anna asked.  Ducky looked around, and spotted some large, long blades of grass nearby.

"I think this will work, yep yep yep," Ducky said as she leaped off of Cera and headed over to the grass.

"Thanks," Anna said as she headed over to the grass.  She picked as many as she felt she needed.  She then noticed a water-filled footprint nearby.  As she scrubbed her hands and then her injured arm off, she realized there was something missing.

"How 'bout somethin' sticky I can use to hold these grass blades together?" Anna asked.  This time, Cera pointed out a nearby tree that had a lot of sap running out of the side of it.

"I'm sure glad y'all followed me.  Who knows how much longer I would've been here tryin' to figure out what to use," Anna said as she tightly wrapped her upper arm, using some of the sap to connect the bandage together.  She then applied a layer of sap on each end of the bandage to make her injury more waterproof.  Just then, almost as if her mind was being read, Anna looked up to find a vine that was in her reach.

"This is really workin' out in my favor," Anna chuckled as she reached up with her left hand, yanked the vine down, bit off only the right amount of vine length she needed, and made a sling for her injured arm.

"There, that's better," Anna said.  "Now, what was said after I left?"

"Amy and the others are going to fix where the sharpteeth came in, yes they are," Ducky replied.

"Well, then, I say let's go help 'em.  I can at least use my left arm," Anna said.  As the group turned to head beack to Amy and the others, Anna turned to Mim.

"Sorry I did not catch your name before.  Name's Anna," Anna introduced herself with a smile.

Meanwhile...

Pterano had finally woken up. Not sure why he had slept so long or so silently, he turned to his sister, Rebecca....

Thomas, for his part, came down into the rock circle and addressed the crowds.

"Now, what was that all about? I came in when I heard Topsy blow a gasket..."

Grandpa Longneck nodded, "Well said, & perhaps some others can help you fix the hole in the wall."  he smiled a bit before continuing, " It wouldn't be a hole needed to be re patched or blocked.

"I will help with fixing the hole!" Claw proclaimed, coming closer "The more of us, the quicker we will get it done."

"I want to help too, even if I am small..." Chomper said, following fastbiter.

"Listen, Chomper. This might be a very hard work, so maybe it will be better if you..." Claw started saying, but he didn't finish as other sharptooth exclaimed firmly:

"No, Claw. If you were going to say, that I should stay out of this, then I won't listen. I have the same right as you to help and I will."

Claw just nodded, acknowledging Chomper's decision. He was right and after all it wasn't the situation, where he would have to risk his life or something, so there was no restriction for him to join in. Besides... They were almost total strangers to each other. Well... At least Claw was to Chomper. Therefore, Claw was absolutely the last person, whom the little sharptooth needed to ask permission to do anything...

"I will help fix the wall too... even if I am not as big as most of you dinosaurs, I can still help move things. These opposable thumbs are good for something..." 'Thomas' told the group presently gathered.

"I would like to help fix the hole in the wall, too," said Ruby.

"I'd like to help too, but I've got other work to do," said Chronicler, as he picked up his rock. He then said to Ruby, "Uh... do you think you could show me the way back to the cave?"

"Sure, Chronicler. You're still new here, so it is a good idea to ask for help to go to where you need to go." She then said to the others, "Once Chronicler is where he wants to be, I'll come back to help you all fix the hole."

Chronicler and Ruby then left and headed back to Ruby's cave.

Little Foot approached Amy and said, "That was brave of you Amy! Speaking out like that! And to him..." He eyed Mr. Three Horn who was walking away, with Panagea close behind him.

"Hey...why is that glider going near him?"

Amy smiled at the others, but lost her smile when she saw Panagea.

Wow...no offense...but you just did a REALLY stupid thing...

Amy quickly turned to the others and said, "Thank you guys, just do what you can alright?" And then Amy turned to Grandpa Longneck and said, "Thank you."

She then landed from her boulder and looked to Panagea's direction, wondering if maybe someone should help him just in case Mr. Three Horn became all riled up again.
----------------
Mr. Three Horn waked a little away, not realizing that a feathered glider was behind him, so he kept limping away.

So many vulgar and raging thoughts swirled in his mind as he limped away.
-----------------
Rebecca said, "Hi sleepyhead...I hope you had a good sleep because now from what I hear, everyone else is going to fix the holes that the sharpteeth came in."

"Did I miss something?" Pterano asked, knowing the answer... "Never mind the obvious. Where is this hole, and how do the others intend to go about fixing it?"

Meanwhile...

Ducky's mother looked around, nervous. She hadn't spoken up much... nor had she been able to act in a decisive manner during the recent problems that were affecting the valley. Still, she couldn't stay silent forever...

"EXCUSE ME!" She exclaimed, getting the rest of the dinosaurs' attention. "I don't normally say much at these meetings, but... isn't it dangerous to go to the broken part of the Great Wall? Until we can fix it, there will be sharpteeth nearby, and they might be tempted to attack such a large amount of... food."

Amy turned to Ducky's Mom and recognized her.

"Maybe, but the sharpteeth that raided our valley are probably exhausted from last night. We can try to fill the hole, with greater numbers, so no sharptooth can get in." She smiled, hoping this would assure the mother swimmer.

"Besides, the kids can stay inside, the stronger ones can fill up the hole." She smiled knowing that was probably Mamma Swimmer's main concern.

Little Foot then pipped up, "But Amy, I wanted to help and so did my friends, please can we help?"

Amy replied, "Well that's up to your folks." She smiled back at Little Foot.

Little Foot looked up at his grandfather. "Please Grandpa, can I help?"

Rebecca shrugged, "I don't know, it's where ever Amy came through, we're just going to fill that hole. C'mon, they're probably waiting for more help." She took off and waited for her brother to follow her.

Ducky's mom looked around. "Alright. I'll help. If I see any sharpteeth I'll... call for help. Really. I'm not good at fighting. All I seem to do is to eat, sleep, make kids, raise kids, and swim around..."

The recent fighting left Ducky's mother feeling helpless. She had been utterly unable to DO anything about it.

As for 'Thomas'...

"If I see even one of those fast-biters, I'm going to kill 'em with my spear and eat THEM!"

As he said this, the human realized that he had given away his status as an omnivore... wait... he had never told them that he could eat plant matter... and eggs! He would keep quiet on the latter, but the former...

"I mostly eat plants, don't worry!" 'Thomas' quickly added.

"Good Thinking" Belmont told "Thomas" "but still me and Littlefoot wanted to help" Shorty said agreeing with his "brother" that they should be part of those who fill the breach in the Great Wall "its a bit dangerous Shorty so its best if you and Littlefoot stay inside the valley" Bron replied "fine" Shorty muttered "c'mon Shorty, I'm pretty sure it'll only take about ten minutes to fill the hole in the wall" Belmont told him "yeah, I bet it'll go real smooth" Shorty replied sarcasticly.

(OOC: Don't tell my characters about what to say.)

"Ten minutes?! No. Surely you overestimate your abilities." Thomas replied.

Ducky's mother followed the rest of the group. She was still a fairly large dinosaur, and was stronger than a human, even if she was far weaker pound-for-pound.

Truth be told, Pangaea really didn’t know what to do at this point. Almost everyone he had been hoping to talk to seemed interested in fixing the hole in the Great Wallóa task he doubted he would be any help withóand he didn’t want to distract them from it. He hadn’t been able to contribute much to the meeting either, and was feeling rather useless at the moment. He figured he had nothing to lose from offering assistance and sympathy to the wounded (both emotionally and physically) Mr. Threehorn, nervous as he was about it.

As he had begun following Mr. Threehorn, Pangaea’s sensitive hearing had picked up Littlefoot’s remark. Yeah, go figure, he thought, The only way I can get anybody to notice me is to do something stupid. His other choice would have been to follow Anna, but Ducky, Cera, and Tricia were already going after her, and Pangaea figured that they would be much better at cheering her up than him (though he very much wanted to speak with all of them later). Mr. Threehorn, however, had nobody helping him with his injury, and it seemed to Pangaea that offering him some was the right thing to do.

Just in case Mr. Threehorn was still in a violent mood, Pangaea scurried up a tree trunk and began leaping from branch to branch, tree to tree, alongside the path the larger dinosaur was taking. Once he was in a tree that was roughly parallel toóand slightly ahead ofóMr. Threehorn’s present position, Pangaea called down to him.

“Mr. Threehorn, stop! I’m here to help you with that rock stuck in your foot!”
