The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

“It’s Pangaea,” Pangaea corrected Mr. Threehorn, “Terrible name, I know.” He paused awkwardly. “Uh...anyway, I’ll be back as soon as I can.” He turned and glided into the forest, traveling in as straight a line as possible so as to not get lost.

Alternating between gliding between trees and scrambling trough their branches, his eyes scanning the forest floor, Pangaea soon spotted a seedling treestar tree growing beneath a much larger tree. He parachuted to the ground on spread wings, alighting next to the small tree. He found that its leaves were soft to the touch, and a lighter shade of green than the older trees; sure signs that they were recently sprouted. Pangaea collected all of the leaves; normally he didn’t like to damage trees, but wasn’t sure how many tree stars Mr. Threehorn needed, and figured that the seedling probably wouldn’t survive long anyway in the shadow of its parent tree.

Finding a spiderweb wasn’t much harder. Pangaea spotted a big one, stretched between the bough and trunk of another large tree. “Sorry, little guy,” he said to the spider as he carefully removed it, before tearing its web off of the tree.

Having found what he needed, Pangaea walked back to where Mr. Threehorn was, the loosely balled up spiderweb in one hand and the leaves in the other.

“Got ëem,” he said to Mr. Threehorn. He walked around to the huge leafeater’s left front leg (the one that had been speared), and carefully pressed the tree stars onto and around the wound. If the TV episode he had seen was to be believed, that was all it took for the anesthetic properties of the leaves to take effect. “Tell me when your leg feels numb,” he said.

Grandpa Longneck slowly raised his head up, being sure he went extra slow so as to not knock off Amy.  "Shall we be off?" he asked Amy and those around him.

"Better sooner then later." Mim said.

Longtail was searching the sky for his friends hoping he could find someone who could explain what happened earlier.

Rick however wasn't having much better luck.
"Ya know, with such a longneck you would think finding another dinosaur would be rather easy." He the stopped and peered through a pair of trees and smiled slightly. He'd found Pangaea, but he was also with Mr.Threehorn, and chances were high that if anyone interrupted whatever it was Pangaea was doing Mr.Threehorn might start yelling again, and that was the last thing Rick wanted.

Spike smiled and licked Ducky again signaling that he was alright. He then turned his attention to Anna and looked concerned for her wounded arm, even though he could see it was properly bandaged with several leaves.

Grandma Longneck walked along side her mate and looked up at Amy as she asked, "Are you doing alright little one? You seem rather quiet." She then heard Sam's request and smiled. "Of course dear." She then lowered her tail to allow Sam to climb on. "Just be careful Sam." she said with an air of caution.

Chronicler and Ruby arrived just in time to see everyone leaving the rock circle and heading in one direction, presumably towards the hole in the wall. "Hey! Wait for us!" called Chronicler as he and Ruby ran towards them.

As soon as they caught up to them, Chronicler said to Littlefoot's grandparents, "I changed my mind. I would like to put my skills to good use and help fix that hole in the wall in the most effective way I can."

"He has a great plan, a great plan he has," said Ruby.

"I have a right to collect anything I want. It's just junk anyway."

"You want to tell us your idea along the way or once we get there?" Mim asked The Chronicler.

"Do you want a ride to Littlefoot or will you walk?" He asked Littlefoot, guessing he'd still want to come along since no other grown ups seemed to have any thing to say against some of the young ones coming along to help patch and fill the hole.

Petrie and Flapper decided to go along.  Petrie flew over close to where Littlefoot was while Flapper decided to walk along with the others, not trusting his ability to try to take off from the ground or try to land, especially with others who may find it odd that a flyer was so clumsy at taking off or landing, not to mention being clumsy in the air, with his inexperience.

Amy almost didn't hear Grandma Longneck, so said, "Uh-yeah..I'm fine." She looked at Grandma Longneck relieved that she was as tall as Grandpa Longneck. So she could look at her instead of looking down.

"Okay...um...I came in here that way..." She pointed to the east of the Great Valley. She tried to look over the trees and somehow she could see it.

"Right over there! That way!"

Little Foot heard Ruby say Chronicler had a plan, so he asked, "What? What's the plan?"

Amy tried to keep her balance as she was on the VERY tall longneck's head. She was amazed by the length of the old sauropod's neck.
----------------
Mr. Three Horn felt the sting of the tree star on his wound, "It's definitely nowhere near numb..." He said through gritted teeth.
------------------
"I'm going to be alone for awhile." Red Claw said to his comrades. "Don't worry about me either, I'll just be over here." He pointed his nose to where some more water was near.

"You guys I guess can just do what you want." He walked away from his comrades and to the other waters behind a rock.

“Well then,” Pangaea replied to Mr. Threehorn, “Just let me know when it gets numb.”

He thought for a moment. If it took time for the painkiller tree stars to take effect, then this might be a good chance for him to talk to Mr. Threehorn. He didn’t want to aggravate him (not any more than he already was, anyway), so he decided to start off cautiously. With luck, he could get Mr. Threehorn to understand that he was trying to be helpful, and wouldn’t end up getting stomped flat or impaled on a horn.

“You know, Mr. Threehorn, I honestly don’t believe you’re a bad guy. A little misguided, maybe, but I’m sure you mean well. At any rate, I'm trying to be nice to you here, so please don't get angry with me if I offend you by accident."

"I'll be glad to have this wall fixed," Cera said as she, Tricia, Anna, and Ducky all kept up with the others.

"Me too, yep yep yep," Ducky agreed as she rode on Cera's back.  Ducky did not want Anna carrying her for fear she would worsen her new friend's injury somehow.

"Y'all can say that again.  If those bas--, uh, I mean morons get in the valley again, who knows what could happen?  Besides, it ain't easy fightin' with one arm," Anna chuckled.  "I could always use my arm, but I don't wanna aggravate the gash if I can help it."  Just then, they heard a baby dinosaur cry out from somewhere behind them.  They quickly turned around, and saw it was Tricia.  The baby threehorn was crying as she was obviously trying to keep up with the others but could not.

"Oh, Tricia!  I'm sorry," Cera said compassionately as the trio waited for Tricia to catch up.  As soon as Tricia caught up, she nuzzled Cera's left front leg as she still cried.

"It's okay, Tricia.  There's no need to be upset anymore," Cera whispered as she gently nuzzled Tricia.  Anna then noticed Tricia was panting heavily.

"Cera, I think she's exhausted.  May I carry her?"  Anna asked.

"But, your arm..."

"It's okay, Cera," Anna gently interrupted Cera.  "I can carry her with my good arm."

"Are you sure, Anna?  I do not want you to get hurt more, oh no no no," Ducky said in a concerned fashion.

"I really appreciate your concerns, but I'll be fine.  Watch," Anna said before she bent down, gently scooped her hand under Tricia so her hand rested on Tricia's sternum, and carefully lifted Tricia.  Tricia giggled as Anna brought her up and carried her in her left arm like the way humans carry their babies in one arm.  Anna was surprised at how light Tricia actually was.  Cera and Ducky just stared in amazement.

"I've never seen a baby held like that before," Cera said.

"Even Mama does not hold babies like that, no no no!" Ducky added.

"Well, this is how humans carry their babies," Anna replied.

"That is interesting.  It is, it is," Ducky said.

"It really is," Cera said.  "Well, let's get moving."  Not more than a minute had passed since they started walking again that Anna heard a very cute yawn.  She looked down in time to see Tricia rest her head on Anna's shoulder and fall asleep.

Cera chuckled when she looked up at a sleeping Tricia.

"Hehe, I think she's got a new babysitter," Cera giggled.

"What gave ya that idea?" Anna asked.

"Just look at her.  She's so calm when she's around you," Cera answered.

"I can see that, but she's a calm little girl in general.  Besides, Guido is good with her," Anna said.

"True, but if you're ever interested in looking after her, I don't think my family would mind," Cera said.  "Besides, there's something about you and kids.  It almost seems like you've got a way of communicating with them on a higher level than what's normal."

"Maybe you're right.  A lot of humans have told me that I have a way with children and living things other than humans," Anna replied.  Anna wanted to explain more about why she has a way with children and animals but felt it was too long a story to tell at the time.  One of the reasons was her zodiac sign.  Cancerians are described as being especially good with children and animals.  The other reason was her being an aspie.  She had stumbled upon a book in Barnes and Noble, one of her favorite stores, a while back that was written by a middle-aged aspie male.  The book focused on the possibility that autistic people have a deeper connection to the spiritual realm than their neurotypical counterparts, and that they get along so well with animals because they can somehow communicate with them on a higher level.  As far as babies and children were concerned, Anna started babysitting at the age of ten, when she would watch over a younger relative and her next door neighbors' three year-old daughter.  Then, when she was eleven and legally able to become a certified babysitter, she became certified through the Red Cross and continued to babysit, along with petsitting for her neighbors.  Something Anna had found strange but interesting was how she was able to quickly calm a crying baby down whenever she picked the baby up.  This had first been observed when she was still being babysat, which she was up to the age of ten.  That being the case, the babysitter allowed her to help with the younger children, especially at meal times.  Anna would hold and feed an infant while the babysitter would prepare lunch for the other children.  Anna was uncertain about whether or not she would ever want to have kids, but she knew for sure that she liked them.

"Oof!" Anna yelped as she tripped over a rock and nearly fell down.  She had let herself become distracted by her deep thinking and had not noticed the rock on the ground.

"Are you okay?" Ducky asked as the group kept walking.

"Oh, yeah.  I'm fine thanks," Anna replied as she felt Tricia move.  She looked down to see Tricia smiling up at her in a sleepy manner.

"Aww, did I wake ya up, little one?" Anna giggled.  Tricia simply giggled as she wagged her tail.

"You're such a cute lil' whippersnapper," Anna gushed.  "I'll be more careful, so dontcha worry 'bout anything, sweetie."  Not much time passed before Tricia rested her head again and fell asleep.

Grandpa Longneck nodded slightly to what Chronicler said, not wanting to have any chance of his rider falling off, "We should be there soon." He said.

"Me hope damage no bad." Petrie said.

"I'm sure we can repair the damage working together." Mim said.

"Quite right." Grandpa Longneck said.

Belmont knew now that somehow if anyone got into danger while patching up the wall,he and the other GOF members be blamed if Threehorn still had a bone to pick with them hopefully that would never happen.....

 Don’t lose your way
With each passing day
You’ve come so far
Don’t throw it away
Live believing
Dreams are for weaving
Wonders are waiting to start
Live your story
Faith, hope & glory
Hold to the truth in your heart

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I

Souls in the wind
Must learn how to bend
Seek out a star
Hold on to the end
Valley, mountain
There is a fountain
Washes our tears all away
Words are swaying
Somebody is praying
Please let us come home to stay

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I

When we are out there in the dark
We’ll dream about the sun
In the dark we’ll feel the light
Warm our hearts, everyone

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
As high as souls can fly
The clouds roll by
For you and I....

...these words echoed in the breeze.

(OOC: Could we GET any more sappy than that?  :lol )

"Thomas" was now at the hole in the great wall, along with a large group of other dinosaurs. Using his spear as a lever, he was able to dislodge a boulder from the upper most part of the sides of the cliffs nearest to the hole, which made the stone fall down, and push a few other rocks. The cumulative effect of this was not much, but it was a start.

(OOC: Maybe it is sappy, but Noname, if he wants to type that, then just let him.)

Amy saw Vincent's action and said to Grandpa Longneck, "Well, it's right there..." She also realized because Red Claw came in, the hole was MUCH bigger then last time she came out.

Great... She thought sarcastically.

Little Foot ran up to the side of the wall and tried to climb up. He slipped a bit, but was able to climb unto an edge. He examined the hole and the side.
-------------------
Mr. Three Horn raised a brow and said, "Well, you're one of the first that actually said that to my face." He let out a half smile and chuckled, "Those weaklings wouldn't stand a chance against me...and what do you mean I'm misguided? What? Because I care about my family? The valley? Because I'm fighter? I fight for WHAT I love. I don't love those that want to hurt my family. And fools should have no mercy whatsoever..." He trailed off thinking about Grandpa Longneck and the others. He grumbled and rambled on about how bad of a leader the old longneck was for letting so many others come in. Like Pterano, he COULDN'T BELIEVE that the Great Valley would break an oath like that. He wondered if the valley even took themselves seriously anymore.

Pangaea rolled his eyes at Mr. Threehorn’s ranting. When the larger dinosaur paused for breath, he took the opportunity to speak.

“Sorry,” he said, “perhaps ëmisguided’ was an imperfect word choice. What I meant to say is that the causes you work for are good, but your methods aren’t always the best. With all due respect, some of your decisions would have caused more harm than good if they’d been carried out. For instance, what would exiling Amy have accomplished? There’d still be a hole in the wall, and she wouldn’t be enough of a meal to keep Red Claw and his pack out of the valley, even if he did have a grudge against her for blinding him. Besides, now that Red Claw can’t see, doesn’t that mean he’s less of a threat now? If you ask me, I’d say Amy did you all a favor.”
