The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Chronicler thought for a moment. Clearly, the only way he was going to get answers from this person in a Fast-Biter's body would be to gain his trust. Ultimately, he reluctantly admitted that the only it could be done would be to reveal a dark secret of his own.

Chronicler sighed in defeat. "How about this, what if I told you a secret of my own? One so deep and so dark that I would never ever want Ruby to know about. Would that be enough for me to gain your trust so that you can give me the answers I want?" He then added, "Don't worry, even though I often want all the answers I can get, I rarely give them to anyone."

"Bron" Bron told Rocky, Shorty still remained silent.
"Nice to meet you Bron." Rocky told the long neck. "You know I meet a long neck who looked a lot like you, I think he said his name was littlefoot." Rocky said, anticipating Bron's response would be that was his son. Rocky turned to Shorty. "So what's your name?" He asked the green long neck.

"So, what were we gonna talk about again?' Anna asked her friends.

-----------------------

Meanwhile, Ducky and her mother stopped on the way to their living area when Ducky's mother noticed the green food she had mentioned about before.

"Here, Ducky.  These should help you feel better soon," Ms. Swimmer reassured her daughter as she handed Ducky several green leaves.

Claw and Chronicler arrived finnaly at the shore of small stream, which would be (hopefully) a good place to practice using the harpoon...

"You rarely give the answers?" fastbiter repeated "Is that a reassurance, that you can keep secrets?" he asked, before trying Chronicler's tool for the first time, but unsuccessfully. He turned to fastrunner and said:

"Here is a piece of advice, Chronicler. When you see, that someone is behaving suspiciously you don't say anything about it, but you wait till you can speak with him in private. It is more easy then to convince him, that you can keep a secret. It doesn't work, if you point out to everybody else how strange my questions are. If you couldn't keep silence at that time, then how can I trust you will keep it after I give you the answer you want, hmm?"

"To tell you the truth, I thought it was the best way to let the others know why I wanted to speak to you in private," replied Chronicler. He then sighed in frustration and mumbled, "Why do I always have to explain everything?" He then looked back at Claw. "Alright, I'll be honest with you, when I suspected that you were hiding something from me, I immediately wanted to know what it was that you were hiding. I guess you can say that I've got a curiosity that rivals Littlefoot's, but I handle my knowledge far more differently than he does. When I want answers, I will do anything it takes to get those answers, and I don't seek answers to help others, I seek answers because I want those answers. Even though I often will never use such knowledge or even bother telling it to anyone, I still want answers."

"I see..." Claw just said, since he was too caught up in trying to hunt fish. After several more tries, he eventually caught one small fish. It wasn't much, but since he just begun practice with harpoon it was definitely something and was enough to feed his stomach for a moment. However, before he started feasting on this fish he said to Chronicler:

"I assume, that you won't let me rest until I say what you want to hear, right? Since you offered to reveal your secret, I would like to hear it first and after that I will give you answer. Would that satisfy you?"

Pterano asked his sister, "Rebecca, I hope that you don't mind...but I would like to see how Petrie and the others are doing."

Rebecca turned to him and smiled, "Alright, I'm sure Petrie will be happy to see you."

Pterano smiled back and flew into the air to find his nephew. He noticed Mr. Three Horn over drinking by the Thundering Falls, he made sure to steer clear of him so he looked over the other side and saw Petrie along with Cera and Little Foot. He wasn't sure how to approach them. On one hand he didn't want to scare them, but he wanted to see his nephew. So he gently rested in one of the trees and waited for the right moment to come in.
----------
Amy then spoke, "Well we asked if you know if Cera and Ducky knew about how you came here to the valley. At least...that's how I understood it." She had her head down and fiddled with her hands.
---------
Little Foot stayed with Petrie and Cera. He was still wondering about Anna and the others about what they are talking about.

"So...what do you two think those three are talking about?"

Petrie shrugged looking at Littlefoot.  "Maybe how scary Cera's dad is.  Me find him scary." Petrie said as he shivered at the memory of what Cera's dad looked like.  "Maybe they talk how neat valley is here." he said trying to think of a happier thought.

Screech’s eyebrows rose as Red Claw described his plan. It was certainly an ambitious one, but the fact that it offered Screech an opportunity to exact revenge on that loathsome red glider made it an attractive prospect.

I have to say I’m taken with that plan,” he said, nodding, a wicked smile growing on his face. “I can start searching for an entrance right away, or as soon as Thud’s ready. When we find one, do you want us to come back and tell you, or just head straight in as soon as the time is right?

--------------------------------------------------

“Uh, I could go ask them, maybe,” Guido offered to Cera and Littlefoot. He gestured to Anna’s pile of fish. “Anna did say that those things would start to smell bad if she let them lie there for too long, didn’t she?”

"I don't know, but I'm getting sick of older folks not talking around us!" Cera snorted as she stomped her right front foot on the ground.  Just then, as soon as Guido had mentioned the fish, a full-grown flyer swooped down and picked up the spear that held the fish.  Cera happened to notice while the flyer was still on the ground.

"Hey!  Those are not yours!  Beat it!" Cera shouted as she charged at the flyer.  The flyer, however, was faster and took off with the fish before Cera could catch it.

"Hmph!  Lousy thief!" Cera insulted the mysterious flyer.  She then slowly returned to the others.

"I can't believe I just lost my friend's dinner," Cera sighed as she let herself drop to the ground and curled up.

"Well, seeing as I proposed to do that, I suppose I must," replied Chronicler. He then sighed. "Alright, I'm about to tell you my honest feelings about something I've noticed these past two days, and I would really appreciate it if you don't tell anyone, alright? Okay, in case if you didn't know, Ruby is my favorite Land Before Time character, but after these last two days here in this universe, she's... starting to creep me out a little. Ever since we first met, just seconds after I arrived, she has always stayed close to me. She absolutely refuses to be anywhere away from me, even the few times when I had insisted that she do something else. For example, when that storm stopped, I suggested that she and Chomper look for you while I stayed at the cave to work on a tool that would allow me to make the tool you're now using. Even though I clearly told her this, she either wanted me to come with her, or wanted to stay at the cave with me. Naturally, I chose to stay, so she decided to stay, leaving poor Chomper to look for you on his own. I don't know why she's acting like this, but my best guess at the moment is that I'm the first 'Fast Runner' outside of her family that she's ever met." Chronicler sighed again. "Alright, there's my secret, now let's hear yours."

Through all Chronicler's speech, Claw remained silent, listening. After fastrunner finished telling about him and Ruby, sharptooth didn't say anything for a moment or two, thinking about what he had heard. Ruby had let Chomper go alone to look for him? It didn't sound like a thing she would do, it was out of character for her, Claw thought. After all, she was always the one to look after Chomper and she had never left him alone for long before. Then another thought filled his mind, as he looked at Chronicler.

"You thought it was wrong to let Chomper go alone on searching, but you didn't come with him when Ruby decided to stay with you..." he pointed out "Why?"

"Um... well... I guess the thought never occurred to me," replied Chronicler. "You do bring up a good point, though. When we're done here, I'll have to talk to Ruby about that. Remind her about her real duty. Alright, now will you tell me what I want to hear?"

"Yes. I told you I will give you an answer, so here it is: when I was going back to the cave in that storm, I met Rinkus and Sierra or to be more precise I was knocked out by them. After I regained my consciousness we had a small conversation. Long story short: I was made to eat poisonous fruit, so I had no choice but to spy for them till they leave the Great Valley. That's why I asked Ruby about dangerous plants and so on, cause I wanted to find the cure for the sickness caused by that fruit." Claw said almost on one breath, then he added "The End."

Pterano saw the flyers stealing the food and he shook his head in disgust. Why would a bunch of flyers go so low to do that and steal another's food? So he decided to go out of his safe haven and investigate.

"Excuse me...uh...you two...what have you got there?" He tried to sound a bit more friendly and less threatening when he arose from the tree to fly over the flyers.
--------
Amy was about to say something else until she heard Pterano's voice and saw him fly else where around where the kids were. She also noticed that two other flyers were having some fish.
--------
Little Foot shook his head and ran to the flyers, "Hey! You can't steal someone else's food like that!" But then he quieted himself and skidded to a halt, noticing Pterano over them.
-----
Red Claw looked as though he was thinking intently over Screech's question, but then he finally responded, "No..I don't want you to come to me about it, wasting time on coming back to me is not worth it. What's important is that you get that glider and lure them out here...and then she will be mine..." His mouth began salivating just thinking of the flyer's scent, of her flesh ripped apart, and swallowed whole. No...what's too merciful of a death...knocked and beaten down first and torn from the insideout was the key. The key for Red Claw to be at peace.

"Interesting..." said Chronicler. He then thought about what he had just heard. After what seemed like a very tense minute, he finally spoke up. "Well, good news is that I just thought of a cover-up story that I think might work. Basically, we'll tell Ruby that you were being careless and, for some reason that you can't seem to remember, managed to swallow that poisonous fruit. You'll describe it to her and, hopefully, she'll know the cure. If this works, you can stop worrying about this no time. How does that sound?"

"It's fine with me" Claw said "Hopefully, she knows the cure and after getting it I will warn everybody, that those two flyers are in the Great Valley."

"Alright, good to see we've come to an agreement," said Chronicler. "Why don't you continue fishing with that tool, I'll head back to the cave to check on the others and see how they're doing." Bamboo pole in hand, he turned around and began heading back to the cave.

It was likely only ten seconds later when Chronicler pushed aside some vegetation and found himself face-to-face with Ruby. They were both quite startled to see each other. "Ruby? What are you doing here?" he asked.

"I, uh-" replied Ruby.

"I thought I told you to not follow me this time." As he said this, he looked around Ruby's feet and noticed the absence of a certain young Sharptooth. He looked back up at her and asked, "And where's Chomper?"
