The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

How's the Weather?

Well, after a series of lows crossing Europe that has lasted for 4! months there is finally a change in the weather pattern. A strong high has built up over central Europe, bringing us sunny weather and temperatures that may exceed 70 degrees F tomorrow. Spring has arrived :)

The weather is finally warming up after a rather cold and active winter.  The forecasted highs for tomorrow is in the mid 60s, whereas the high temperatures for Tuesday may actually reach 70 degrees.  Needless to say, I am glad to see the beginning of spring.  :yes

The first storms of spring have finally arrived.  My region is now under a Tornado Watch and a line of sever storms is forecast to enter the area later tonight.  We have already received two inches of rain and several more is forecast in the next 24 hours.

This evening is overcast, which is unusual for the area I live in.  We are supposedly having a "cold front" come through, although the temperature only dropped from the low 90s to the mid-80s :lol.

We are currently being hit by some Saharian dust... It's unusually warm (temperatures reaching mid-70's) and (due to said dust) the sky was covered in clouds all day.

It stormed this morning. It didn't last long, but it poured a lot of rain in its duration. Right now, it is sunny and cool.

The temperature have been holding steady in the lower 70s today.  Although there are a few storms forecast over the next few days, the overall forecast looks like nice.  :yes

It's been beautiful the past 2 days, and the weekend's looking nice, too. I may just go out and sit in it.

Daily high temperature of 60F today. Looks like spring has finally arrived here in Vermont.

The weather has been exceptionally nice for the last week, with highs in the 70s and mostly sunny skies.  It appears, however, that my area is forecast to have heavy rain and strong storms on Monday.  Oh well, it is Spring after all.

There have been some thunderstorms at all days of the week with temps in the 70's. Though none of them made it to my location yet. Well, two more days of tstorms and the likelihood for a hit increases by today (Saturday). Some parts of Germany are experiencing quite a draught lately... though that's going to change after the weekend, luckily :)
Another fact: Since Nov 2013, the average temp has been 3?C above normal... and april's going to continue that streak

Cold, cold cold cold cold cold cold cold.

It' like 3 degrees and wil only get as warm as 5 today. Ironic thing when I live in one of the hottest and driest countries on earth.

And it's only Autumn and there was ice on my mailbox and it was snowing.

Yeah,it actually snows in Australia hush xD.

It gonna be -2 tonight, gah save me.

After some more days of warm and thunderstormy condition (been hit once quite hard... some flashflooding only a few kilometres away from my home), some colder airmass is dominating the weather. Frost is likely tonight and highs shouldn't overcome 60F for the net two days... At least it should be sunny most of the time :)

Sorry for doubleposting :angel

We have cool and showery weather for some days now and an occasional thunderstorm can't be ruled out (though, so far, I've been spared from them as opposed to Rocking Scorpion :DD)

It's been an exceptionally cold and rainy May. In neighbouring Serbia and Bosnia there are disastrous floods, some people have drowned, the entire countries are in a state of emergency and have requested aid from abroad. Parts of Croatia could possibly to be flooded too, as the Sava river, being the destination of most Bosnian rivers, is reaching record-breaking volume. Though Croatia has fairly good dikes on its rivers compared to other European countries, the water level is on the way to go beyond anything the designers in the 1960s envisioned.

I've heard about the carastrophy over there :( Even bridges were destroyed (I've seen a very scary video showing how a destroyed bridge floating on the muddy river rammed another bridge... It also took down a really old, big tree as if it was a stick... scary...). Let's all hope the dikes are going to withstand the water masses :goodluck

Over here, the showery weather has turned into a sun-cloud mixture at moderate temperatures... In the middle of the week, temperatures are forecasted to exceed 30?C/86?F at some locations... Also, conditions for severe storms are given later next week.

I hope for the best, jansenov.  Hopefully the well-built dikes will be able to handle the massive amount of water flowing that way.   :yes

Over here the weather has been quite nice.  We have had temperatures ranging from the upper 50s to 60s (?F of course, 60 degrees ?C would not be pleasant  :lol) for highs.  The temperatures should rise into the 70s and 80s by the middle of next week.

The dike breached at one spot in Croatia, but dikes in Serbia and Bosnia, which are of poorer quality, suffered larger breaches and they got most of the flooding. Two villages have been flooded in Croatia, and one city with its surroundings in Bosnia and one city in Serbia too. Here less than a hundred people had to evacuated, in Bosnia over ten thousand had to be evacuated. There are no dead in this most recent flooding.

Glad to hear no dead in Croatia, but all the same, my condolences to your corner of the world. Not good. :(

And in just one month, spring turns to summer. The last few days have been so warm that I decided it was time to put in the air conditioner, even though it's expected to cool off for the next week.

I like being able to have some control over the temperature in my room. I find myself most comfortable between 72 and 75. The last few days, it was 80 to 82 in my room, and opening all the doors and windows did little to cool it down much. I prefer to leave the door to my room closed, so putting in the air conditioner will allow me to return to what I'm comfortable with.
