The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I strongly dislike it that the History channel has so many reality tv shows now.

My beliefs tend to be eclectic, meaning mixed, for those of you that don't know what eclectic means, if any of you are curious about my beliefs go ahead and pm me if you want.

I love cheese, but I can only eat it in certain doses, otherwise I get pretty sick.

Many of the TV shows I enjoy watching are on either the History channel or the Discovery channel. I think I would probably also watch shows on the Science channel and the National Geographic channel, but I don't get those two channels at my house. :neutral

Whenever I do watch TV, I mostly watch shows that are on Animal Planet, National Geographic, A&E, Discovery Health, and sometimes Comedy Central (Comedy Central Presents :lol).  I also watch "The Biggest Loser".  It reminds me to keep myself in shape :p.

One of my recent favorite tv shows is "Worst Cooks in America". It is hilarious! :lol Sometimes I just wonder what exactly is it in their dishes that these people put in! :x

Really?  I should check that out :p.

I like "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares".  That one really does make me wonder what nasty secrets some restaurants hide behind closed doors :x.

I like kart racing games more than realistic racing games.

One of my all-time favorite series, Case Closed/Detective Conan, the 1st time I saw it, it was for a lark but I grew to be addicted to it!  :DD

I used to watch A LOT of television (mainly science and nature shows on National Geographic, Animal Planet, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, and PBS), usually taping them so I could watch them later (which I would then never get around to doing :rolleyes), but in late spring of last year (2009), I became largely apathetic to most of the shows I used to obsessively record, and virtually ceased watching television altogether. If I remember correctly, this was partly because the VCR was a pain to record things with, partly because I just got tired of taping shows when it seemed like I never had time to watch them, and partly because videotapes were accumulating in mountains around the TV set. :p I still try to record programs of interest, but the only series I nowadays make any effort to keep up with are MythBusters andóto a somewhat lesser extentóDirty Jobs (both Discovery Channel programs).

I know how to induce powerful adrenaline rushes in myself.  All I have to do is think of something that pisses me off (usually from something that I read).  I can make myself go from calm and easy-going to hyper and in a rage within a minute.  It came in handy when I used to be on the track team, and now I use it whenever I run and I start to feel tired.  It's also useful for other sports ;).

^Interesting you would talk about that, because I had some adrenaline ruch today myself.

People usually don't realize how I strong physically I can be. I'm about 5.4", but I am able to hold someone much heavier and taller then me back if I need to.

Believe it or not, I can do the same exact thing. But usually it happens by accident. There are some things that get me worked up very quickly if I think about them, so I usually avoid doing it if I can.

I also like CNN international. It's got reports one would never see on other channels.

I love horror movies, something others in my family don't seem to like, my mum doesn't like them, my younger sister, well, too young to watch them and my older sister doesn't really like them either.

I’ve always been too much of a scaredy egg to watch horror films. :p I’m incredibly high-strung (practically any sudden noise is enough to make me jump) and have never enjoyed the adrenaline rush that comes from being scared. On top of that, most horror genres hold little interest to me, excepting for the ones with creatures or monsters in them (and even that’s a fairly recent development, dating back to my high school years). I remember the first time I watched Alien, I kept fast-forwarding and rewinding so that I knew when the jump scenes would be. I've probably gotten better since then, but horror movies still aren't my thing.
