Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Oh dear, I have several names now! :lol Whoop, looks like my real name is out, too. :! Ah, I don't care anymore. :p

I'm happy to say that I had a fantastic birthday. One of my brothers who's taking an internship out of state sent me a wonderful hand-drawn card, which we retrieved from the mailbox just as he was talking to us on the phone. For dinner we cooked marinated chicken and watermelon on the grill (I'd seen a magazine article about "things you didn't know you could grill" and was curious to try it :P:). I got some wonderful gifts, including Season 7 of MythBusters on DVD and a complete set (150 count) of Prismacolor colored pencils (so the next time I do artwork, I'll have the entire rainbow and then some at my disposal :D). The cake was Duncan Hines triple chocolate with triple chocolate fudge chip frosting offset with vanilla ice cream (that much chocolate on its own is almost too much to handle!), and blew out all twenty-four candles in one breath, embers and all. :D Finally my youngest brother and I went to see Ice Age: Continental Drift (which was epic). And tomorrow we're driving out to Nevis, Minnesota to tour an emu ranch, which I'm very excited for. So yes, it was a good birthday. :DD
