The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Ask ze boss something.

This might be an odd question, but do you believe in the term "guilty pleasure" as in having "LBT as a guilty pleasure" due to certain circumstances of what seems to be socially acceptable in society, or do you kick out the labels and just like what you like even if other people would call them guilty pleasures?

^ Now that's a peculiar question.  I would answer to watch what you want, and enjoy every moment of it.  Its up to you to disclose or not what it is you're viewing, LBT or otherwise.  I don't see films as "guilty pleasures".  I think of things like chocolate as guilty pleasures because I typically don't eat much of it.  Even pizza can be a guilty pleasure for me come to think of it.

Next questions please. :wave

Any idea when voting for this year's member awards will begin? I noticed that, last year, we began in early May, but it's currently the middle of May and I've not heard any announcements regarding this year's member awards.

(Stole) the idea from a review of an LBT movie when they criticize Petrie's ability to use the English language in the sequels.

Forum question (sorry): If you have an artistic GOF member who does LBT fanart, but also makes a lot of non-LBT artwork, is it preferable that that artist posts his or her LBT art and non-LBT art in separate threads (in the LBT Fanart and Visual Art sections, respectively), or is there no problem with that artist posting all of his or her work in the Fanart and Fanfiction section, where it is more likely to be seen and commented on?

(Guess who’s thinking of starting an art thread. :p)

LBT fanart in the LBT fanart section.  Anything else in the Visual Arts section. ;)  Two totally different things.

From what I remember from your other posts, you said you were raised Catholic. (Funny enough, so was I. :yes ) So I'm just wondering, and it's okay if you don't want to answer this question:

What's your opinion on religion as a whole? Or I guess to explain it a bit more, do you think religion is essential to human beings? Or is it something that you think doesn't necessarily needs to be around in life? It's just a security thing for human beings?

Religion is private thing you have with your God(s).  In the end it is your soul at stake and it matters not what you have or have not done to get your fellow man to see the light.  You and you alone.  So, religion is a private matter and bringing religion into things like politics should be avoided.

Alrighty..

How did you stumble on Watership Down? What do you like most about it? Which version did you prefer: Novel, Movie or TV Series?

Sorry, three questions.. :(

Didn't even notice this.  Sorry.

1.)  Don't remember how I "stumbled on" WD.  Must've read somewhere that WD was an animal lovers book and picked it up.

2.)  Everything just kind of blends anymore...I'm not as interested in it as I once was.  I believe I liked it then because it was a story of honesty and courage and you got little tidbits of rabbit life. :p

3.)  Novel over everything...I'm a bookworm. :p  Movie then TV series.  If you seen my reviews, you know I'm not a fan of season 2 on that tv series.

Next questions please. :wave

Since you are a computer wiz (not to mention the founder of GOF) I, as a web designer in-training was wondering something. I know how to publish my own web page since it comes from my server but how do you publish a page for a customer? Someone walked up to me and asked if I could make and publish a page for them but I'm not sure how.

Would MSN be a good choice to host it, too?
