Okay, here's the rundown of what's going on right now, and the plans so far for what's coming up:
The group of Great Valley dinosaurs and GOF members who are on their way to rescue Pangaea is approaching Red Claw’s location. It consists of:

Also following, at a greater distance, are Amy (Rat_lady7) and Tria.
Red Claw, Screech, and Thud have gathered a large number of fast biters to surround and attack the rescue party at Red Claw’s signal (when they see him attack, they are to do so as well). The rescue party is not aware of this, though they do suspect something. At the moment, the fast biters are still getting into position, so Red Claw has sent Screech and Thud ahead to stall the rescue party (At the moment they are within visual range).
Chronicler has suggested to Mr. Threehorn that he, Ruby, Claw, and Chomper attempt to negotiate with Screech, Thud, and Red Claw to get Pangaea back.
The following is what is currently planned for the fight. There is still some uncertainty on the exact details of some events; I have highlighted these in orange, and also included my personal ideas and opinions.
ï Screech and Thud are given the offer to negotiate (Chomper translating for both sides). They agree, secretly deciding that this would be an ideal way to keep the group busy until the ambush is ready. My suggestion is that both Red Claw and the rest of the rescue party remain at a distance during the negotiating scene; close enough to overhear the discussion, but not close enough to be an immediate threat to the opposing side.
ï When one of the sharpteeth (either Screech or Red Claw, depending on whether Red Claw remains at a distance or approaches the negotiating party) expresses his frustration with the negotiations, Chronicler and/or Claw mutters an insult, which Chomper mistakenly translates. Chronicler thought that calling Red Claw “inferior” would be a good choice, as Chomper wouldn’t be familiar enough with the word to know that it was insulting. An insult referencing Red Claw’s blindness might also work. Personally I don’t think both should be used.
ï Red Claw is enraged by the insult, and gives the signal to attack. As I said before, my idea was that he would be a distance from the group, but close enough to hear the insult, and that he signals the fast biters through the action of charging towards the group, rather than through any spoken command.
ï The fast biter “army” attacks from all sides, and the characters battle them in whatever way their respective players decide. As I envisioned it, there is no specific number of attacking fast biters. Players have the choice of defeating them by scaring or driving them away, knocking them out, or even killing them. No named characters may be killed.
ï Rob and Thud fight, until Thud manages to bite Rob (I was thinking that he would be bitten in the arm). The wound is not severe, but it nonetheless incapacitates Rob and, for some reason, causes him to change into a fast biter form (from which he is subsequently unable to change back).
ï Anna sees Rob get injured, and becomes so enraged that she thoroughly pounds Thud and knocks him out.
ï Longtail joins the fray, facing off against Screech. He manages to knock Screech unconscious and free Pangaea. Both Screech and Thud remain unconscious until morning comes to the RP.
ï At some point during the fight, Amy and Tria arrive.
ï Pterano also appears, saving Mr. Threehorn from a group of the fast biters (which gains him enough respect that he decides to stay in the Great Valley after all).
ï With too many fast biters to fight, Chronicler and Ruby try to escape by scaling a nearby cliff. At the top, they meet the gang (and whoever is with them at the moment), who are attempting to aid in the battle by dropping and throwing rocks at the fast biters. They too begin throwing rocks at the fast biters.
ï Chronicler decides to attempt to take out Red Claw. He sees an enormous boulder on the edge of the cliff, which he and the others attempt to push down. The rock turns out to be too big for them to budge, but Chronicler digs away at the cliff edge in front of it, enabling them to push it over.
ï The boulder rolls down and hits Red Claw in the leg, bruising it so severely that he collapses and is unable to stand. At this point, most of the “hired” fast biters have been defeated or driven off, and those that remain flee the scene.
ï Amy attempts to talk to Red Claw in the hopes of reconciling things. I had suggested that Chomper translate for her, but Rat_lady has not yet indicated whether she would prefer it to be one-on-one.
ï With the battle over, Chronicler, Claw. Ruby, and Chomper leave the main group to find an antidote for Claw (whom Rinkus and Sierra had earlier force-fed a poisonous fruit).
ï The group returns to the Great Valley. However, some of the dinosaurs (including Mr. Threehorn) are suspicious of Rob after seeing him turn into a fast biter, and isolate him in order to keep an eye on him.
ï I had suggested earlier that everyone’s characters go to sleep shortly after returning home, so that when they wake up it will be morning again in the RP. Another member (Blitz) has expressed interest in joining the RP, and stated his preference to enter when it is morning.
ï Also, I thought that Red Claw could go to sleep where he fell, and when he wakes up in the morning, he finds the pain in his leg to have gone down enough that he can stand again.
ï Redtooth101's character(s) may enter the RP at some point following the battle.
