Should we approach Screech and Thud now?

I'd really like it if we could finish the negotiation scene this weekend, so yes, let's start it immediately if possible.

By the way, just an idea I thought I'd throw out there: Myrkin, if you aren't going to be able to post in the RP that frequently, maybe Chronicler could temporarily take partial control of Chomper, just so he won't need to wait for you to post just to do something really minor involving Chomper (like saying “Chomper translated…”).

By the way... I've almost forgotten that Claw is still poisoned by fruit he was forced to eat by Sierra and Rinkus. Chomper, Chronicler, Ruby and me were supposed to go the place, where the cure can be found. I guess it has to wait till after the battle, right?

I see. Well I can introduce my characters just after the fight since they where watching from a distance and chose to secretly follow the group. Fang my OC want's to follow because he saw other sharpteeth with the GV dinosaurs and is a bit inquisitive, me as a Sharpbeak urges him to follow because I saw other humans.
Then they can actually interact with the others come morning. That sound good?

I think you should first introduce your RP persona arriving in the LBT world and reacting, then maybe meeting your OCs. You've seen the ways other players have made their entrances, right? (If not, just check the first few pages of the RP.) Some of them start out in our universe and describe their transportation to the LBT world; others just wake up in the LBT world, having already been transported.

Thank you, Pangaea for providing a nearly accurate summary. However, there's a few details I mentioned that I think you might have forgotten.

- Redclaw or Screech and Thud mentions why they are even bothering with the worthless negotiations, which Chomper translates. This causes Chronicler to say a few things in anger, ending with the "inferior" insult, all of which is also translated by Chomper.

- When Ruby and Chronicler reach the top of the cliff, they start by throwing small rocks. They then decide to throw larger rocks, some of which might seriously injure a few Fast-Biters. Then Chronicler decides to take down Redclaw, and that's when he notices the massive rock at the edge of the cliff.

I think that's all that you missed from what I planned. Anyway, it looks like I now have every reason to continue my part in the RP right now. I'll go do that right now.

And Redtooth, while Pangaea is right that other members have made the experience to turn from human to dinosaur, your first post doesn't have to start with you being at home or anything of the sort, or a dramatic change, post about how your "dinosona" comes into the rp anyway you would like, but just remember to put how you would react into your post when you realize that you are a dinosaur.

Chronicler, I don't know how long you were planning for the negotiations to last, so just let me know when you're ready for me to have Screech express his frustration with them.

Myrkin, I'm assuming you can still have Claw speak during the negotiations (Just wondering: can he only speak Leafeater?).

Rat_lady, are you going to have Red Claw be the one who is enraged by the insult and initiates the battle by charging at Chronicler's group? (Personally I think that's the best option. )

As of where we currently are, here's how I thought it would go: Chronicler's group eventually realizes the Flyer that Screech and Thud want is Amy. Chronicler shouts towards the group of leafeaters, asking if anyone knows where Amy is. When everyone says no, Chronicler tells the two Fast-Biters that they'll need to choose someone else. Screech states that Redclaw wants only Amy and nothing else. Due to Pangaea frequently struggling, Screech questions why he is even bothering with the negotiation, as he sees it as nothing but a waste of time. When Chomper translates this, Chronicler tells the Fast-Biters a few things about what humans have been able to do, ending his rant by calling them inferior compared to humans. Chomper translates the entire rant, unintentionally insulting Redclaw or Screech and Thud, causing the battle to start.

Does this sound good enough to you?

He can only speak leafeater for now, but I plan on asking Chomper later, if he can teach me/Claw sharpteeth.

Of course, he's sensitive about those things, especially now that he is blind. Though I am thinking of him going on some psychopathic episode, such as when he first hears the response, he's frightfully calm at first, but then when he finally comes to the group, he raises his voice and tells the others to attack.

I realize this response was more directed at Pangaea, but I just wanted to say that I like that idea. Again, I'm going to try to have Red Claw have a more calm demeanor at first, but then after a sentence or two of him in this episode, he then tells the fastbiters to attack.

Personally, I think this adds a much more ominous and psychological character trait in Red Claw. I mean he's already portrayed as insane as it is in this rp.

Well, to be honest, I'd expected that the insult would be delivered less dramatically; that your character would be frustratedly saying a few words to himself and the others in his group, and Chomper thinks he's supposed to translate it. However, it sounds like you're thinking that in the midst of a rant directed at the fast biters (one that he WANTED Chomper to translate), your character is the one who makes the mistake of saying something insulting, which Chomper then translates because he had been told to.

I suppose I don't have any actual problem with it (notwithstanding my personal view that no speciesónot even humansóis superior to another), though I prefer the scenario of a mistaken translation to one of speaking without thinking. The whole thing seems like less of an accident to me, almost like your character is deliberately trying to irritate the fast biters.

I just thought of a way to explain the reason behind Chronicler giving such a rant. You see, I always want to get a good night's sleep, and if anything interrupts my sleep or prevents me from going to sleep as early as I'd like to, I get a little cranky and frustrated. I already had Chronicler say that he originally didn't want to go with the rescue party because he wanted a good night's rest before helping Claw's situation the next morning. Basically, Chronicler is now acting without thinking due to the fact that he's not getting as much sleep as he would like.

I'm not sure if you'll like this idea or not, but I find it the most plausible reason for the things Chronicler is about to do. Especially since I really do have an obsession with maintaining a perfect sleep schedule.

Hey, Pangaea, do you still want us to finish the fight before you leave on Friday? I'm just asking because for my most recent post in the RP, I had originally planned all of it for two separate posts, but I decided to save some time by putting the two planned posts into the one that you see.
