The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

"If Littlefoot dad here Shorty here too." Petrie said looking around a bit.

"Feel free to stay as long as you wish, or to remain if you wish." Grandpa Longneck said.

"Thanks. " Flapper said.

'You hungry or thirsty?" Grandpa Longneck said.

"Just a little." Flapper said.

“Cera’s sleeping place is right through here,” Guido said as he led Pangaea through a dense clump of bushes. As he pushed aside a leafy branch, it swung back and struck the larger glider in the face. Pangaea let out a squawk, more out of surprise than in pain, which in turn caused Guido to jump.

“You okay?” he asked, turning to look at Pangaea.

“Uhh...y–y–yeah, I’m fine,” Pangaea replied as he brushed the leaves out of his head feathers. He had always been accident-prone, and tended to produce alarming vocal expulsions even when he wasn’t actually hurt. But he was also feeling exceptionally jumpy at the moment, not just because of the anticipation he feltóknowing that he would soon meet someone he had effectively known his whole life, but never actually seen personallyóbut out of the knowledge that it would probably also mean an encounter with a particular dinosaur whose bad side he definitely did NOT want to get on...

“Um...Guido? I have to ask you something. How well do you get along with Cera’s dad?”

“Well, uh, he seems to trust me,” Guido said, “ever since I helped save his daughter Tricia from going over a waterfall. He even asks me to babysit her sometimes, and I’ve never said no. You’d have to be crazy to answer no to that guy’s face.”

“Yeah,” Pangaea nodded, smirking nervously, “I know.”

Guido turned his head to stare at him. “You do?”

“Erm...eh...er...uh...gah!” Pangaea cursed himself. He had done it again; had hinted at the fact that he already knew about everybody in the LBT world. Hastily he tried to cover his mistake. “Uh...I mean...I know ëcause I’ve heard stories about him. How never to make him mad.”

Guido nodded and laughed softly. “Heh-heh, good advice. So, you still want to see if Cera’s home?”

Pangaea took a deep breath. “I guess so,” he said, attempting to quell his anxious shivering.

“Well, then, c’mon! Right through here!” Ducking down, Guido scurried under one last bush. Pangaea followed him, parting the foliage that blocked his way, and stepped out into a clearing.

In the center of the clearing lay two dinosaurs: a yellow one (whom Pangaea estimated would be at about the same eye level as him if she stood up) who appeared to be asleep, and a smaller pink one that was leaning up against her. Pangaea's heart rate seized up, then accelerated as he recognized the pair as Cera and Tricia.

(OOC: Cancerian Tiger: Is Tricia asleep, too?)

Ruby was a little confused by what Sam said. "What's 'GOF'?" she asked.

Chronicler simply replied, "Nothing worth talking about."

Ruby began to realize that Chronicler might have been right when he said to not expect a kind attitude out of him when he's with more than one person.

(Pangaea: Yup, she's sleeping :yes.)

"There is nothing more we can do to help, Anna.  The grownups know more about injuries than we do, yep yep yep.  Come on so you can meet the others," Ducky finally spoke up.  At first, Anna took Ducky's assuming she has no knowledge of first aid as an insult, but then realized Ducky barely knew her so she could not blame her.  Anna had not explained to Ducky that she cares for the elderly and the disabled back at home, which puts her in a position of having to know how to provide aid for a sick or injured person.  Besides, Anna did not think the grownups would be comfortable with a stranger, a young one at that, showing she has more healthcare knowledge than they do.  She was very reluctant about leaving Amy and the grownups but knew they would not need her for assistance.

"Okay.  Let's go see 'em," Anna replied before she lowered Ducky down and followed her lead.

Markus had been about to depart when he heard voices coming from the clearing he had just left. Crouching down and making sure he was hidden by the brush, he observed the unfolding scenes before him. His eyes widened as he actually recognized some of the beings in the group. In the group that was conversing, he recognized Ruby, Chomper, Littlefoot, Ducky, and Cera's Dad, as well as a few other dinosaurs he could not recognize. His surprise increased even further as he saw a few members of this group were actually human!

He tried to convince himself the situation was some sort of dream or vision, but even the tidbits he overheard from the conversation only confirmed his insane hypothesis. "My God," he whispered to himself, struggling to keep his breathing under control as his excitement returned. "I'm in the Land Before Time!"

Markus began instinctively pacing back and forth in the brush as the implications of his situation came to him. "I must've crossed some sort of tear in spacetime or something! I must be in some sort of alternate universe, like in a Star Trek episode or something! This is absolutely incredible!" A shocking thought caused the teen to halt abruptly. "Wait, how the hell am I gonna get back? And," he muttered to himself. "I still have no idea where the hell my car went!"

Markus considered the idea of being stuck in theLand Before Time universe indefinately with a distinct feeling of terror before deciding to remain optomistic. "I'll get back somehow." he rationalized to himself before turning his gaze back to the group of dinosaurs. "Now," he continued, his brow furrowing. "how should I introduce myself?"

A number of different ways occured to the teen before he decided to just walk up and introduce himself like everything was normal. "Besides," he added to himself. "the worst that could happen is a few people looking at me like I'm insane, and it's not like that never happens."

So, Markus stepped out of the brush and meandered his way up to the group. "Hey," he started, smiling politely but completely unsure of what to do. "I, uh, just got here and, well, I'm new and stuff. I'm Markus." His mind now completely blank, Markus waited uncertainly for a response, hoping no one would get freaked out and attack him or something.

Chomper came up to Markus, as he waved "It's very nice to meet you Markus, I'm Chomper".

Drew smiled sheepishly, as he introdueced himself. "Drew" he said simply. Crossing his arms, he looked him up and down as he said "Somehow i get the feeling this isnt how you used to be by the look on your face. We're you a member of GOF? If so, you can turn back into your normal form as well".

John just wondered how he was going to return to the present as he sat at the Thundering Falls.

"If only I had a time machine" John chuckled, just then Shorty jumped him and they both fell into the water.

"I told you watch your back" Shorty said "I guess...you caught me off guard" Belmont responded.

" Bron said that another herd had just arrived, the leader is an old longneck" Shorty explained.

"Old longneck? Could it be Ali's herd" John thought

"What are we waiting for ,let's go" he said.

“Looks like they’re both asleep,” Pangaea observed, his eyes fixated on the two napping threehorns.

“Yeah...” Guido said. He shrugged, then started towards Cera and Tricia. “Guess we’ll just have to wake them up, then!”

“Uhh...maybe we shouldn’t do that,” Pangaea told him, “It...doesn’t sound like a great idea.”

“Oh, c’mon! I gotta show her that I’ve met another one of my kind!”

“Umm...” Pangaea felt torn. He really wanted to meet Cera (nervous as he was), but also suspected that Guido might not be aware of a particular “wisdom” Cera had once shared with Littlefoot on the topic of disturbing her sleep. He wasn’t sure if Cera would take kindly to being woken up just to say hello to a funny-looking feathered glider (who wasn’t originally even a glider at all).

“Oh, come on, Pangaea! Please, please, pleeeeeeease!” Guido begged, shaking the larger glider’s arm.

Pangaea sighed. Showing Cera that he was no longer the only feathered oddball in the valley must be very important to Guido. He wouldn’t have expected the shy glider to be so bold as to want to wake a sleeping threehorn, even one who was a friend of his.

“All right,” he conceded, “But if she gets mad, you’re the one who’s gotta make sure I don’t get impaled.”

“Oh...uhh...okay,” Guido agreed, his tone displaying a bit of his familiar nervousness. He quickly shrugged it off, however, as he walked up to Cera’s face, gripped either side of her beak with each hand, and shook her.

“Hey, Cera!” Guido squawked, “Wake up!”

"GAHHHHHH!" Cera screamed in a startled fashion as she jumped up.  She really hated being snuck up on, especially when she was sleeping.  Tricia screamed as she jumped up and hid behind Cera.

"Who goes there?!" Cera demanded as she looked around.

Red Claw snorted in reply at Thud's statement.

"If we are going to do an ambush, we such do it at night, when most of those plant eaters are asleep. One of us should distract them while the other two get the others. And Thud...I want you to get that flyer girl...alive...I need to enjoy my revenge when it's fresh...not dead...Screech, you will join him and try to hurt the others. I will distract them. I know I am a bit weak, so that's why I am waiting tonight. That flyer will be mine!" His teeth gleamed at his last statement and he made a blood curling roar.

Mr. Threehorn left the thundering falls and wanted to go to his mate's den. He wondered why his mate was sleeping for so long. Suddenly though, he saw his daughters up and sensed something was wrong.

Oh no...

He charged in and made a roar. He pierced his eyes at the two strangers. However, he came to release one of them was Guido and the other was a friend of his.

"Guido...what are you doing here? And who's this?"

Amy tried to get the longneck's attention and asked if there were any healing liquids around. She then looked at Markus and said shyly, "Oh, hi, I'm Amy, are you new here too?"

As Ducky led Anna to the group of friends and newcomers, Anna felt awkward.  She normally did in social settings.  Funny enough, however, she did not feel as awkward as she normally does, for in a way, she already knew the Gang.

"Hello, everyone.  I have someone I would like you to meet, yep yep yep.  Anna, this is Littlefoot, Chomper, Ruby, Petrie, Drew, Sam, and Markus.  Guys, this is Anna.  She is the human I met earlier, yep yep yep," Ducky chattered.

"Hey, y'all," Anna greeted as she waved at the others.

Grandma longneck and Rick had gotten into a debate about treestars and hadn't noticed others slowly arriving. Grandma Longneck was the first to speak up. "Hello Ducky, it is nice to see you today. And it is very nice to meet you Anna." she said with a kind and caring tone.

Rick smiled and nodded as he greeted the others as well.
"It is nice to meet you all. My name is Rick."

Spike gave a grunt as if to say 'Good to meet more friends here.'

As John and Shorty got nearer and nearer to the enterance to the Great Valley they could see the herd right before their eyes, it wasn't small by any means.

John then spotted the young apatosaurus and approached her ,Ali didn't seem to notice him.

"Greetings, m'lady" John greeted as he gave a bow , Ali turned to him "Hello, who are you, I've never seen anyone like you before" Ali responded, shyly "I know, my name is John" John explained,by the time John had finished his sentence,Ali was gone.

Little Foot tried to get his dad's attention, but for some reason failed, so when he saw Anna he replied, "Hi! So, where are you from Anna? And do you know these other dinosaurs that came here?"
--------------------------------
Red Claw grinned and looked to Screech to hear his opinion about the situation. If he said otherwise Red Claw would have to wait for his revenge, while he was digesting a traitor...

Grandpa Longneck put his head underwater and brought some underwater green food up and offered it to Mim and Flapper.  Mim took it and divided it into 3 roughly equal amounts and the 3 of them started to eat some of it.

"Tasty.  I heard you have to go pretty deep sometimes for underwater green food." Flapper said as he finished his first bit, remembering a comment one of the gang made in a tv episode.

"Cera, it's me! It's Guido!" The teal glider shouted in response to Cera's question. He had been flung into the air when Cera had sprung awake,  and was now comically draped over the threehorn's neckshield.

Pangaea, meanwhile, had been so startled by Cera's violent reaction to Guido's admittedly less-than-subtle wake-up call that he had jumped even higher than she had, subsequently freezing in placeóeyes bulged, teeth clenched, fingers extended and crooked, and every muscle tensedólooking rather ridiculous himself.

And now he saw that Cera's father had arrived. This meeting clearly wasn't going as well as he had hoped.

"Uh...hello," he greeted Mr. Threehorn meekly, the shakiness in his voice evident. He lifted a hand and waved nervously to Cera's dad.

--------------------------------------------------

Screech had been going to ask Red Claw what exactly had happened to him, and why exactly he was so murderously interested in a young female flyer, but the expression on the mammoth sharptooth's face made him think twice.

"Sounds good to me," he agreed hastily, nodding vigorously to show his support.

"Oh, hi Guido.  I'm glad it's you and not a sharptooth," Cera said as she rolled her eyes up to see Guido.  "And you've found a friend, I see."

"Hi," Anna replied as she waved up at Grandma Longneck.  Holy crap!  She's so tall! Anna thought to herself.  Just then, Littlefoot got her attention.

"Well, where I come from is a long story.  As for the others, I might know them," she replied.  She had no idea how they would explain themselves to their prehistoric pals.

"Yeah, would you believe it? He's the same kind as me!" Guido chattered excitedly. Jumping off Cera's head, he scurried over to the larger, maroon-tinged Microraptor and grabbed his arm, pulling him over to where Cera was standing. "His name's Pangaea."

As Guido led Pangaea past Cera's dad, he waved to the big threehorn to acknowledge his presence. "Hi, there, Mr. Threehorn," he said quickly.

With a push from Guido, Pangaea found himself standing directly in front of Cera.

"Uh...Hi, Cera," he greeted her nervously.
