For a while Pangaea couldn't say anything. Already stunned by the revelation that he was not the only human (well, former human, anyway) to have been inexplicably transported to the Land Before Time universe, he had been downright flabbergasted to discover that at least some of these humans were able to spontaneously shift between a human and a dinosaur form. (Drew's demonstration of this appeared to have had the same impact on Guido, as Pangaea noticed that the smaller glider had been struck similarly speechless. Cera, on the other hand, appeared virtually unfazed; evidently she had already met a human and witnessed such a transformation.)
One thing did make sense, though: "They're all GOF members," Pangaea thought, "All the humans here. I suppose that's not too surprising."
However, in light of this new discovery, Pangaea's initial bewilderment was becoming rapidly converted into nervousness. He had never counted on meeting any of his fellow GOF members in person, and even though he had communicated with many of them, he was feeling excruciatingly shy. He had no idea what to say; how to react to them; he didn't even recognize which members they were. Furthermore, Pangaea had never felt especially comfortable around crowds, and for him, a group of three or more people was enough to qualify as one.
And as if that wasn't enough, in the midst of the bamboozling situation, Pangaea had come face-to-face with two more familiar LBT faces: Chomper and Ducky. The latter was particularly exciting to him, as while he was immensely fond of all seven members of the gang, Ducky was one he felt particularly attached to. It was therefore somewhat ironic, Pangaea thought, that on all the occasions he had imagined himself meeting the LBT gang, he had never been able to envision quite how he would interact with Ducky, given that her extroverted personality was the polar opposite of his introverted one. But now that he was meeting her, the rest of the LBT dinosaurs, and several members of the GOF for real, he wanted to at least try to make friends with them. He didn't want to be the center of attention, but he even less wanted to be ignored; left out of the social circle due to his hesitancy to get involved. Taking a deep breath in an effort to stave off his anxiety, he mentally selected the words for his introduction:
"Uh...Hi there, everyone," he said, raising a shaky hand to wave at everyone who was currently looking at him, "Sorry if my greeting is awkward, but frankly I...uh...never expected I'd ever meet any of you. Let's just say that...to say this is overwhelming for me would be an understatement. Anyway, I'm Pangaea. Some of you Gang Of Five members might know me already."
