The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Chronicler used the sharp rock to cut off all the leaves and branches from the second bamboo plant. He then looked carefully at it to make sure it was perfect.

"Is that what you are going to give to Claw?" asked Ruby. "It looks just like what you already made."

"This one's not quite done," replied Chronicler. "Now I need to do some carving on this pole so that it can easily catch fish, water-swimmers if you will." Before he began further work on the bamboo pole, he thought about what he had to do next. "Obviously, it needs to be sharp and pointy at one end, but what if that fish slips off?"

"Water-swimmers are slippery and hard to catch. I've tried a few times to get a water-swimmer for Chomper, but they're just too slippery and hard to catch."

After a few seconds, Chronicler got an idea. "Perhaps I could cut another point on it in such a way that it would allow this tool to grab the fish from the inside, where it's probably less slippery than the outside. I think that would make this tool work like a harpoon of some kind." He then began sharpening one end of the bamboo pole.

"I have a right to collect anything I want. It's just junk anyway."

"It seems everyone is inside who should be and those outside are those who should be.  Shall we get started closing up an further repairing the wall?" Grandpa Longneck asked.

"It does seem the best course of action at the present." Mim said.

Meanwhile, Cera continued to hold on as Anna swam in the deeper parts of the Thundering Falls.

"Are you having fun, Cera?" Ducky asked as she swam by the two.

"Actually, I am!  This is not bad at all, and the water does feel good on my skin," Cera replied.

"Glad to hear it," Anna said with a smile as Tricia paddled over to her.  "You're such a good swimmer for your age and species, Tricia."  Tricia simply giggled before she swam back over toward the shallower parts.

"I wish I learned when I was her age.  I'm sure I would've been a much better swimmer," Cera sighed.

"It's never too late to learn," Anna said.  "Ready to let go of me?"

"What?!" Cera yelped.

"Don't worry, Cera.  I won't let anything happen to ya?" Anna said.  Cera was still hesitant.

"I'm serious.  This is not a prank, and I would never put anybody in harm's way if I knew they were not safe.  It's okay to let go," Anna added.  Cera, however, still seemed uneasy.

"I'm your pal, right?  Dontcha trust me?" Anna asked.

"I do, especially after you got me out of harm's way from Redclaw," Cera replied.

"See?  You'll be safe with me," Anna soothed.  "Go on ahead and swim in place."  She was relieved when Cera slowly let go of her.  She turned around so she faced Cera as she treaded water.

"Good.  I see you've got the kickin' and paddlin' down.  Tired yet?" she asked.

"No, not yet," Cera grunted.

"Okay, now try to just swim around in this area."  Cera did as told, and found that she was having a relatively easy time.

"Lookin' good," Anna said with a smile.  Suddenly, Cera went beneath the surface!

"Whoa, Nellie!" Anna gasped as she quickly reached under and took hold of the little threehorn under her shoulders and pulled her back up.  Cera coughed and spat before she recomposed herself.

"Got tired?" Anna asked.

"Yeah, I did," Cera wheezed as Anna continued to hold Cera so she would not go back under.

"Perhaps we got a bit overzealous.  I've got a better idea," Anna said.  She then repositioned Cera so she could swim again, and this time placed one hand on Cera's back and the other on her belly, just like the way she would hold her dogs while they swam in her pool back at home.

"Okay, let's try again.  This time, I won't let go," Anna reassured her friend.

"Alright," Cera replied before she began to paddle.  Anna swam to the side of her as she followed wherever Cera went.

"Is that better?" Anna asked.

"Much better.  Thanks for teaching me," Cera replied.

"You're welcome.  Lemme know when you're tired next time," Anna instructed.  Cera lasted a couple more minutes before she grew tired again.  Anna let her wrap her front legs around Anna's neck again.  As Anna swam around and enjoyed her time with the others, she began to realize that Cera was getting to feel like a little sister to her.

Rick was still enjoying the water and he sighed contently as he watched the others playing and Cera learning how to swim. Rick then turned his head to face Amy. "Are you doing alright? And how do think Cera is doing at her swimming lessons?"

Spike continued to eat the green food found in the water and in fact had to swim to reach several spots where he saw green food sticking up out of the water.

Longtail had finally reached the elders near the great wall and he specifically sought out Grandma and Grandpa Longneck. "Excuse me, but I have good news!" he said with a wide smile.

Mr. Three Horn looked Longtail's way and questioned, "Is that so? What is it?"

Rebecca looked toward Longtail too and added, "Did you find the other far walker?"
....................................

Amy looked at Rick and responded, "Yeah, thanks for asking. You? And yeah, I'm sure with practice Cera can be a good swimmer." She smiled.

Little Foot was shocked and grateful by Anna's save with Cera.

"You're doing great Cera!"

Grandpa Longneck turned to Longtail, "And what is it?  Did you manage to get a treestar before Spike ate it?" He asked smiling good naturadly.

Belmont gave Ali an almost smug smile before turning and watching Cera get better at swimming, it brought a warm feeling over him.

Longtail smiled and laughed at Grandpa Longnecks remark, shaking his head. "No, no, nothing like that. But yes, Thomas is back safely in the valley. As it is, he's over by the Thundering falls with the rest of us if you'd like to go see him." Longtail commented with a wide grin knowing this was very good news.

Grandma Longneck then gave a sigh of relief as she replied, "That is very good. Now we can seal up this hole without worrying about stranding anyone in the Mysterious Beyond."

~~~~
Rick grinned at Amy's response.
"Well I'm alright. And I'm starting to get an idea." he laughed lightly as he asked, "Would you like to hear it?"
"That is very good news indeed." Grandpa Longneck said.  He turned to the others, "You hear that.  They are both in so we can now fully seal this wall." He said.
"That is very good news indeed." Mim said nodding and smiling.
"A most well received good news indeed." Flapper said. "No we can proceed and finish this."
"Why not? It might be interesting" Claw responded to Sam's proposition, but then he remembered something "I forgot that I have to check, if Chronicler made a tool for me. Maybe you could go with me? That way you will be able to tell me about WWII aircraft along the way and you will get to know Chronicler and Ruby..."
"Then lets go.'' Claw said, standing up and turning to Chomper, who was still swimming in the water.
"Chomper? Could you lead me and Sam to our cave? I would like to talk with Chronicler and don't want to lose my way again." he said to purple sharptooth.
"Now? Okay... I think it's dinner time anyway." Chomper answered, coming out of the lake. Then he waved to his friends "See you later, guys."
Petrie waved to Chomper and the others going with him, "Bye, see you guys later." He said to them.
Grandpa Longneck started looking for some larger rocks that he could move to help seal the hole and ensure the wall was well enough sealed and piled up to keep out sharpteeth of all kinds.
Amy gave a puzzled expression, "Well...what idea are you thinking of?"
Little Foot saw Chomper go and said, "Oh okay, see ya Chomper! See ya Claw!"
-------------
Mr. Three Horn snorted, "Good, then let's go ahead and fill it up!" He started to look for large rocks to bash and fill the hole. It would definitely be an easy job, and very fun job for him to do, due to his rough and tumble personality and his physical strength.
Grandpa Longneck looked around for some rocks he could push into the rock pile using his head or tail, or one of his front feet.
Mim looked around for some rocks she could lift and put into the rock pile, pacing herself as best as she could.
Flapper meanwhile attempted to move some rocks a bit so they'd fit together better since he could remember how the Egyptian and some other very large stone structures had their stones fit together so well.  Though they had tools to shape the stones, unlike here.
