"Underwater plants sound good right now, yep yep yep," Ducky said in response to Petrie's comment before she ran over to the water. "I see some right over there, yes I do."
"Be careful, Ducky. The current is stronger than it seems," Anna cautioned her friend as she shoved the fish on her makeshift spear. Anna had returned to land by that point.
"Oh, I will be careful, yep yep yep. I am a very good swimmer you know," Ducky stated confidently, which seemed odd for her. Anna gave Ducky an odd look as she washed her hands in the water before returning to the others. Meanwhile, Ducky waded toward some underwater plants, which were located about ten feet in front of her. The water became too deep for her to wade in, so Ducky began to swim over to the plants. After she dove under and grabbed onto the plants, she realized Anna had been right, for she could not even return to the surface due to the current being too strong for her. She kept holding onto the plants for dear life until she felt herself unable to hold her breath anymore. With that, Ducky let go of the plants and managed to resurface as the current was sweeping her away. She coughed harshly as she gasped for air while struggling to keep her head above the water. Just then, she saw somebody running toward her rather quickly, and realized it was Anna. Ducky was suddenly pulled under again but was not beneath the surface for long before she felt herself get scooped up.
"Are ya okay, Ducky?!" she heard Anna's voice ask as Ducky coughed and gasped for air. Meanwhile, Anna was holding Ducky facedown so she could safely cough up any water she had aspirated during her struggle. To be on the safe saide, Anna gently dealt her friend several backblows to ensure she had no water remaining in her. Once Ducky stopped coughing and regained her breath, Anna turned her onto her back. Ducky seemed quite bigger when Anna was in her human form.
"Ya feel okay, little one?" Anna asked again. Ducky nodded, and Anna began to head back for their friends.
"What'd I say before regarding the current?" Anna gently asked Ducky.
"It is stronger than it looks, yes I know. I guess I thought I was a better swimmer than I really am, yep yep yep," Ducky whispered.
"It's not that. You're a very good swimmer, Ducky. It's just, when it comes to strong currents, even the best swimmers get stuck. It can happen to any of us, so don't be so hard on yourself," Anna said. "Besides, I'm always more than willing to help if help is needed."
"I thought I could have gotten those plants myself. I did, I did. Mama is so good at it," Ducky said.
"You're good, too. Remember when ya showed me how to dive for the plants? Only it was in calmer water. Save the more dangerous water for when you're bigger, okay?" Anna said as the two reached their friends.
"Okay, but what am I good at now?" Ducky asked. Anna was surprised by Ducky's remark and in response held Ducky up to eye-level.
"That lack of air must've really gotten to ya, but you're an excellent swimmer as I already mentioned. Also, you're good at bein' a good friend and bein' kind to others," Anna said. "Feel better?"
"I do, yep yep yep," Ducky nodded, and Anna gently set Ducky on the ground.
"Glad to hear it. I'm also glad to be a runner back in my world. Otherwise, I don't think I would've been fast enough," Anna replied as she sat down and put her socks and shoes back on.
