K: It's not even supposed to be ''fixed'' as people are expected to dispose of their important papers by another way, which is way more beneficial, if you ask me. Simply throw it into the trash, no one in the building is usually that interested in them anyway. And not like they can get inside the room where the trash is located as it requires a key to get in. So no, they don't plan to fix it or replace it with a new one as far as I'm aware.
